In the beginning there was an explosion.

In an instant the universe we know was created.

Infinite planets, many racked with endless possibilities all burst into existence and became home to many creatures all under the title of  “Life”

Overtime some of these life forms evolved unexpectedly and became more than the simple-minded organisms they came from, with the leaders of this group being…

“Humans”

Beings of both great potential good and equally destruction

They began weak and timid but what defined them was the strength of their will.

The Will of Humanity to live on pushed them from the Ancient Rock Age to the Bronze Age and eventually until the Modern Age.

This iron will to improve ushered a continuous evolution all the way until 2077, this was the year that first marked when “It” came.

“It” was never seen but its message brought upon the wings of change that hit the world like a tornado against a barn door.

Afterwards as one would expect Absolute Chaos ensued.

Immediately many governments attempted to maintain their control but society as a whole ground to a halt.

The modern age revolved around luxuries that the people in the past could have never dreamed about and in the end, it made people softer and weaker.

If it wasn’t for an era of job automation and the use of personal robotic assistants replacing most of the manual labor in society, then humanity may have taken the initial shock and had the capabilities to accept self-preservation, but it became evidently clear that they didn’t.

The looming threat of the other creatures on Earth evolving into monsters were more than most people could handle and as such they went Insane.

Lootings, murder, and suicides became commonplace to the point where places such as China and The United States lost over 1/8 of their total populations.

In the underbelly of society a few such as the cartels of Mexico and the drug lords of Africa embraced the chaos to wipe out their opposition and take control without any means to stop them.

In the truest sense of the word this was the first time that humanity has faced true and utter Anarchy

One month after this chaos began, the first monsters appeared.

Many citizens attempted to escape their cities as soul shaking creatures began to pour in and devour thousands without discrimination.

Each country had lost a city in under a week of the first monster sighting which lead many to shake in their boots and wonder how humanity will live on. Like a shining lightbulb on a pitch-black street for the citizens of the world, every nation gathered for the creation of the force known as the H.P.A or The Humanity Protection Alliance.

Pooling together their current knowledge allowed them to understand the properties of the changes that were occurring in the world.

The most obvious change they learned was that missiles and conventional firearms were shown to have little effect on the beasts as well as many traditional physical weapons after it was shown that even tanks could only cause light injuries on most creatures.

Nobody could determine a way to successfully exterminate the creatures and after three escruciating weeks, the H.P.A. detected an anomaly that came from a man named Hai Fujian.

This gentleman while on the brink of being devoured by a two-meter-tall flaming raccoon became able to break through the initial shackles of humanity and evolve to fight back against these invaders using only the strength of his soul.

Even though he was eventually swarmed under countless monsters his miraculous appearance spread hope and showed that once one can stimulate their soul enough then it is possible that humanity no longer must run but can stand their ground.

As soon as news of this development spread among the alliance, a new arms race began into the research of soul potential and development of soul warriors.

One battle at a time humanity began to push back against its oppressors and even through fifty percent of world succumbed in the beginning, they built the foundation for future generations to grow.

In the future history books this man and this period will mark The Beginning of The Soul Journey for humanities never ending journey to survive.
