The next morning she wakes up to a guard saying "happy 13th birthday l" with a creepy grin on his face but it wasn't a time to celebrate. When the slave turn 13 they are deemed old enough to fight in the arena. That was exactly what they had planned for her they open the door pull her up put chains and shackles on her. As they were walking to the arena she could hear some other slaves saying somethings.

Slave #1 " oh no but she's so small"

Slave #2 "she doesn't have a chance"

Slave #1 "how old is she anyway"

Slave #3 "I heard she turned 13 today"

Slave #4 "what really but don't they usually give……"

The arena doors close before she could hear all of what was said. They walk into a room where the guards put her in to a cage and take the chains and shackles off. One pushes her to the back of the cage before closing the door. The guards leave the room closing the door cutting off all of the light from the room. She sits in the pitch black room for an unknown amount of time when suddenly the cage started moving up a bright light started coming in from above it got s bright she had to look away. When she looks back up she was in the arena battle grounds. The cage door opens and she steps out barely able to see she looks around seeing way more people then she had ever seen before. They were all just stand there yelling for a fight to start. That is when she noticed the other cage across from her just outside of it was a boy that looked to be around 15 years old.

A loud voice suddenly said "Ladies and Gentleman to day we have a special treat for you today, this will be the first fight between two kids born as slaves and to our fighters may I remind you of the rules 1 if you refuse to fight you will be killed on the spot. 2 if you try to escape you will be killed on the spot 3 if you attack anyone other than your opponent you will be killed on the spot other than these three rules anything goes when the cage drops the fight will begin." As the cage started lowering she started freaking out knowing she knows nothing about fighting she looks up to see the boy standing in front of her he punches her as hard as he can knocking her to the ground
