Hello everyone!
It's been a hot minute, and a lot has happened, and you, who have followed my story, deserve an explanation!
My ultimate goal for starting TMWTTM was to make money. Enough money to, at the very least, be able to quit my fast-food job and work from home! As it turns out, I burnt out on that job before this goal became a reality.
In November, I reached my breaking point with said job and moved down to 1 working day per month once I found work from home. This has been a marvelous change for my health in many ways, and I'm so much happier and relaxed day-to-day.
However, once I was working from home, I lost my drive to write since I had already obtained what I wanted (and my new day job involves writing gaming articles).
Since that time, I've taken a break and re-evaluated what I want to do going forward. I apologize for the long delay and radio silence while I took the time to figure my shit out >.>
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
What I've discovered is that I feel I can do better in terms of a story, hook, and main character. I wrote myself into a corner with TMWTTM, and I'm not overly proud of it. I know I can write better than that and deliver an even better progression fantasy in a way that is shown rather than told.
----------------------------------------
So, from today, I will be publishing the first volume of TMWTTM on Amazon's Kindle Vella platform and removing the first volume from Royal Road (a requirement Kindle demands sadly).
Volume 2 will remain up, and in the event that the first volume of "The Man Who Taught The Machine" performs well on Kindle Vella (with your engagement, likes ect.), I could see myself continuing Shane's story and writing more of it.
Until then, I will be working on the development of a new Fantasy/Gamelit novel! I won't be posting chapters of it for some time, but if you're already a follower of TMWTTM and want to see more of my work, please follow me as an author here on Royal Road and keep your eyes peeled for my new work.
I will likely post several more updates regarding any changes and a link to the first volume of "The Man Who Taught The Machine" on Kindle Vella very soon!

Thank you so much for sticking with me and reading Shane's story. I look forward to giving you more even more exciting worlds filled with interesting characters and kick-ass progression :)
