My name is Victoria Mendoza I'm 21 years old. I was raised by my aunt Sophia. I don't know anything about my biological parents. "its a touchy subject" as my aunt likes to call it.
The only thing I know is that I'm the young version of my mom, golden eyes, dark brown hair. Well, at least that's what my aunt Sophia tells me. Thanks to my aunt's boss I'm going to one of the most prestigious university. My aunt works as a nanny for one of the richest men in America.
Mr.Alexander Reed, despite being my aunt's boss, treats us like family.
Mr.Reed has two children; Christopher and the guy that haunts my dreams a.k.a Christian and a bitchy wife who apparently thinks she's above everyone.
I have no friends they're too unpredictable. no time for boys either, they're just a waste of time. I'm a perfectionist and a control freak or so I've been told.
Some people call me cold, some call me distant.
I have goals to achieve, dreams to chase, that leaves me with no time for people's bullshit. If that makes me bitchy then so be it.
The staff is very busy today Christopher is coming back to live here and Christian transferred here to stay closer to his family, well it was more his father's idea.
"Victoria why are you sitting I'm sure there's a lot to do around here, so get moving," says Anne with her usual bitchy tone.
"Mrs. Reed, I don't know if you have noticed but the maids are on the other side of the room, now if excuse me I have something to pick up for dad."
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Quit calling my husband dad, I don't like it," she stopped me on my track.
"Imagine me caring about what you do and do not like, "I laugh hysterically and walked away.
I pretty much grew up with Mr. Alexander's children. Back then we did everything together, we went to the same school. They saw me as one of theirs. His wife was always so sweet to me but unfortunately, she died three years ago. Mr. Alexander remarried last month with none other but her secretary. none of his children made an appearance, it was the subject of the tabloid for a whole week so I'm curious to see how this family is going to function since they'll be living under the same roof. I can already feel the tension.
"Aunty, I'm going to the store, anything you need?" I asked Sophia who's sweeping the bookcase.
"No thanks. And Vicky, dont stay too long."
She says without turning to look at me.
It's already 5 pm the library will be closed soon. I promised Mr. Reed I'd get him a book for his birthday. So I went and bought it.
The store is another story the files are extra long today.
I keep looking from the files to the cookie I'm holding asking myself if it's worth the wait.
I finally decided to put the cookie back and make my way home which is like one hour drive or less.
When I got home I found the two limousines parked in the garage which can only mean one thing, they're here.
Loud music welcome me in. Man, the house is so much alive with them here.
I want to see them well more like I want to see Christopher, but I don't want to interrupt either so I silently make my way to the kitchen to let my aunt know I'm back.
"hwee hwoo who's that sexy thing," Chris whistle approaching me.
I hadn't seen him for three years and I am struck anew by how good he looks. He's in all his grandeur black suit with a blue tie, His eyes sparkling blue just like his mothers'.
"Really Chris," I roll my eyes glaring at him.
"Ooh did you hear that aunt Sophia? She called me Chris. That's the first time." He stepped closer to take a better look. of what? I don't know.
"I thought I was Chris?" Christopher stepped in from the other door.
"Christopher!" I run and take him into a hug.
"Damn, right when I thought you couldn't get any prettier," he compliments me cupping my cheeks.
"Well, I sure didn't miss that part," Christian sighs in the back.
"Miss what?" I asked turning back to him.
"You swooning all over my brother."
"Aww, if you want a hug all you have to do is ask Christy," I smiled.
"There she is," he grinned widely and took me into a tight hug that seems to last forever
"God, I missed you so much," he whispers in my ears.
