Too late should've released this sooner, but you know when your busy time flies by. Naturally this chapter is more about the new world our main character is in so there is zero action.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been 5 years since I've been brought into this world.
Soon after(about half a year) my dad started to teach me about the written language of the world, I completely memorized most of it. I then proceeded to read all the books in the house before two months could even pass me by.
I learned so many new things. First off I learned all about the currency of this world, it's relatively simple. It starts off with a small yellow ball(Think the size of an eraser on a pencil but rounded) commonly referred to as bit and is the most commonly used out there, it was worth 1 Drab. Next came a bigger red ball called a round, this piece is almost as common as the bit and is worth 10 Drab. Next comes a green coin that's just a bit bigger than the round, it's called a noble and it's worth 100 drab, its not very common. Finally comes a small blue ball smaller than even the bit called a king worth 500 Drab, this is the rarest of the money(Obviously) and isn't normally used unless someone is buying expensive armor, weapons, or other various expensive things.
The years in this world consists of 8 months each with 25 days. Each day is about 20 hours long. and each hour is precisely 60 minutes.
The world consists of four continents, Yareth the demon race continent, Harf the fae continent, Gargantum the beast race continent, and Nard the human continent.
The demon race is composed of all things demon, the fae are the fairies, elves, spirits, and the like, the beast race is composed mostly of demi-humans of the fox, wolf, dog, and cat half races but there is a lot of other races too, and the human race is composed of humans and dwarves.
There is no doubt, now I can actually read, that there is magic in this world. There are several different kinds of magic in this world, there is the most common elemental ones earth, wind, fire, water, darkness, light. There is also things like summoning magic, time and space magic, enchanting magic, nature magic, and pure destruction magic. The fae race is the race that can utilize their magic the best, but as they are most attuned to nature they can not use all the magic and are excluded from fire, darkness, summoning, and destruction magic. The demon race are naturally the second best at utilizing their magic but as they are creatures of darkness they are excluded from light, time and space, enchanting, and nature magic. The humans with their adaptability are the third best at using magic and can use all magic, but most humans cannot use more than two different types of magic. This magical adaptability does not include the dwarves who can only use the elemental magic. The beastman cannot use pure magic as they cannot utilize the mana in the surroundings and their bodies and can only rely on spirit contracts, which is not considered a main magic as it requires an outside source.

Since I'm human I will only explain what I learned about humans.
The human race naturally has ways to test what elements a human can use, with most people not exceeding two elements, that is to say if they have enough mana to use any at all, as a lot of humans don't even have that much mana.
Anyways the human continent is divided into three kingdoms that are usually at war with each other( when i say usually they stop when they go to war with other species). The first kingdom is called Yiracan, the second called Bardola, and the third is Alarea.
As for me, apparently we live in a insignificant small town in the Alarea kingdom, Far away from the borderlands where most of the fighting in any of the wars occur.
So anyways I learned all that stuff maybe a little bit more but blah blah blah who cares about all that stuff about the continents and time. The most important stuff is the magic. On the fifth birthday of every child they are tested free of charge(most likely to encourage people to come so they can get their greedy hands on them) for magical power, and elemental power(determines how many elements you can use as naturally you can't test for what elements you can use, you have to find out on your own). So anyways today is the day I turn five.
My parents, trying to make sure I don't feel super discouraged if it turns out I don't have enough magic power, tell me how it's not the most common thing to have enough magical power, etc. Either way I don't really care, as my parents told me that either way my dad is going to teach me some swordsmanship, and my mother is going to teach me some basic crafting skills. Although if I do have enough mana I'll have to go to school as neither my mother nor father are magicians. Not really looking forward to that if I do have enough mana because I didn't particularly like school in my past life.
Today I do absolutely nothing eventful and sit down staring at the sun waiting for noon to come around, as that's when me and my parents will go and have me take the test. So I sit there and sit there, when finally the sun reaches midpoint, I shout over to my parents in the house as i get prepared to take the test.
