Next Project

The Mage of Shimmer Mountain saga is over. Thank you all so much for your kind words and encouragement over the past year. If I come back to this world, it will be with a new cast of characters and years later. No guarantee I will come back to it though. You might be wondering, what am I going to do next? I am going to spend the next few months getting started on my next project, Kaiju City. I won’t be posting it here during that time, I find that I do a lot of rewrites during that first phase and I don’t want you to get confused with drastic plot changes. I will start posting when I have a solid story that I think you will like. In the meantime, here is the blurb:

Kaiju City: Tartaruga Town

Matteo lives on the back of an enormous turtle. A peaceful kaiju wanders the land, and a city of fifteen thousand people all live on top of the magical turtle's shell. They harvest its magic as their home slowly plods along the countryside. Matteo works as a mural artist as he recovers from a serious injury. Things are going well for him until his girlfriend kicks him out of their apartment.

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

Art doesn’t pay enough for him to afford his own place, so he finds a new job. As an exterminator. A monster exterminator.

Much like parasites, monsters roam the land and attack the kaiju. Matteo’s new job is to kill the monsters before they are able to hurt the turtle. Of course, the parasites that prey on a giant magical tortoise aren’t small themselves. He has to fight ten foot long pinworms and flocks of owlbears. They do give him a magical artifact to fight with, so that’s nice.

Things keep getting more complicated for Matteo when he discovers a plot that could put the whole city in danger. Now he is trying to uncover a conspiracy and level up his magical artifact. He finds himself fighting people and monsters in ever increasing frequency. It doesn’t take long for him to wish that he could go back to painting.

So, what do you think? Does it sound interesting? If this idea sounds interesting, don't unfollow. In a few months, I will post an announcement here to let you know when I start up Kaiju City on RR.
