The Lumberjack's Visitor

A man who lives in his lodge surrounded by trees and the noise of animals, he has no one to call his friend or family. He is a lumberjack—or rather, he used to be one. Until he got tired of it and started thinking of it as a childish hobby. He still cuts and carves wood when he has to as he has help of no one besides himself, though he only does it in sense of urgency instead of actually enjoying it as he once used to.

One morning. while the man is making breakfast for himself...He gets lost in his thoughts, thinking about how boring life has become. But it's not like he can do anything to make life more fulfilling—he is all alone, after all. Suddenly he hears a knock on his door he gets a bit startled as he gets no visitors at all.

He thinks to himself  "who could have come to visit me?..."

He walks toward the door and peeks through the peephole to see who it is. "Is that a woman?" he thinks, squinting to make out the figure. Though he can’t clearly see who the person is, he can make her out to be a woman. He slowly opens the door, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension, as the door opens he sees a woman, a woman like no other he has seen, in his eyes she is the definition of beauty.

This story originates from Royal Road. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

Right as they make eye contact, the man almost starts to drown in her eyes. Her light blue eyes, tall but not too tall height, her fair skin almost shines softly, she looks like a princess of fictions. She looks like the moon, or perhaps even the moon wishes it could look like her. Her very presence makes the man feel as though the gaze of beauty itself is upon him.

Before the man can muster up enough courage to say anything, the lady speaks first. "Hey, um...I heard from a lot of people that you are the only lumberjack around here."

The man instantly replies "Yes, yes, of course, of course yes, I am him, I am the lumberjack you are looking for," he says very nervously.

The woman asks him "If possible, could you maybe um teach me?... I'm sorry but there are no teachers around here for me to go to."

The man very excitedly replies "Yes, yes how could I say no to such a beautiful lady"

The man then invites the lady into the house.....
