Luckily, James was sitting in his office chair looking at the same event logs repeatedly to figure out where it happened and how the latest cyber-attack happened. The screen began to flicker randomly "shit, don't die on me now girl we gotta figure this out." James quietly exclaimed while gently petting his laptop, He had found treating technology gently worked better than beating in anger or frustration over the years. In the end, it had no help and the screen shut off, and suddenly blue light filled his eyesight and what seemed to be a command prompt appeared on his face.

"Like a video game?" James said with confusion in his voice. James quickly brought out his phone and tried turning it on to no avail. He quickly stood up and began to walk around the IT room trying every computer and checking every power source, nothing was working, and this was already becoming like one of his nightmares. A world without technology. I must've died and gone to Hell. He thought to himself as he sat back down in his chair and checked the status bar on his command prompt. Then sounds like a cheap confetti blaster went off and a new prompt showed up.

James was astonished, and for once in his life, he couldn't make sense of the world. Why had he been chosen for this important role? On a good day, he was barely competent as a tier-one analyst. He stopped thinking, He was spiraling again, and he needed to concentrate on the issue at hand. He was in charge of the Earth's wildlife, and he had no idea how to get around to it. He continued to think for a moment before all he heard was a loud boom outside, and immediately he shot up and ran over to the giant glass window.

What he saw was straight out of a high-budget action film, the city was on fire, and chaos seemed to ensue outside the building. It seemed like all technology had been wiped out and that seemed to apply to all modes of modern transportation. A plane had slammed down into the middle of the city and cars had seemed to have lost control of their brakes. I guess Y2K was right after all. He joked to himself in his dark sense of humor and found that He was feeling strangely calm. He pulled away from the window after a minute or two and sat back down in his office chair. His mind quickly reactivated, and he began to think again If this is like a video game I have a stat sheet right, but what was the command to call the system? ah yes. "Open system menu." The blue box appeared again and listed off the different categories he could go through. From top to bottom he read out loud "Help, Status, Gacha, and Familiars." He selected status immediately, but the gacha caught his attention. The Blue box appeared again.

Why didn't I start at level 1? Did the system give me a slight edge? He continued to think to himself before he decided to close his status. The gacha system window popped up afterward and read "Welcome new universe bonus" and after reading the description he felt a little less special. Everyone got +4 levels and 10,000 universal credits with 1 gacha token, and it also seemed that the gacha system was made with his class in mind. He only had two tabs available one that read 'Class Gacha' and the other that said 'Animal Gacha' both had little question marks above them. He dismissed the class gacha because it was self-explanatory with the pictures of class equipment for a beast tamer, but the animal gacha caught his attention so he clicked the question mark and a blue box popped up.

The animal gacha system has ranked all your planet's "Endangered" species by the rarity of their biological significance and how close they would've been to extinction before the system came along. System 70 has graciously collected DNA samples from them and processed them into a gacha system for beast tamers to use. The rankings are as follows: Normal, Rare, Epic, Legendary. Loot is subject to change as more animals grow extinct and mutate. *Note this will cost gacha tokens just like the class gacha*

He scoffed after finishing reading, backed out of the menu, and sat before pulling a coin out of his pocket. The system made enough sense to him, but he needed to decide what to do and the only way he figured to do that is by a coin flip. Heads for the first gacha being an animal gacha, and tails for the first gacha being an equipment gacha. He flicked the coin in the air and watched it before it came down. When it landed the face of an old president pointed upwards. "Animal gacha it is" He tapped the button for the system to roll and felt a small amount of energy leave his body as a small egg shape fell into his hand. He quickly checked what happened and read a status out load "four gacha coins reside in your possession, Use them now?" He nearly choked as he backed out as quickly as possible, then he inspected the egg shape in his hand. Another window popped up
