The Beauty Queen like An Angel
Yetunde was born 48years ago. A first-class university graduate. Her father, a professionally trained grade two- teacher died seven years after she was born at Ikire town in Osun State of Nigeria.
Yetunde was an easy going lady thirsty to make airing success of her life by the grace of God. She was a goodly child and exceptionally innocent daughter with an incredibly stumpy background.
As a determined citizen, Yetunde was head strong to become an educated person who can be well respected and trusted in the society. She desired to stand out as a daughter of destiny in life and make a difference in her world!
Left with a single mother that catered for her welfare and good ruptured throughout the secondary school that she attended as a promising offspring. She naturally had raw tongue and an attractive feminine physique.
A fine girl and thoroughly bred. She was the joy of her charming mother who watched over her like an eagle on the mountain top!
Naturally, she grew up to be loving, brave, diligent, amiable, elegant, dependable and intelligent and of good breeding among her peers.
Unfortunately, the mother of Yetunde had a terrible motor accident along the line that claimed her life at a prime age like the husband. The sad event occurred when the mother was returning from one of her business trip.
The public transport bus she travelled with had an accident at Asejire town near Ibadan city a few days to the end of the year. A tanker vehicle loaded with engine oil tumbled making oil split over-flowed and spread on the road. As a result, everywhere was very slippery for motors.
Suddenly, the bus where Yetunde’s mother was inside ran into the slippery spot unknowingly, the driver failed to be courteous, swap and hit a parked trailer by the road side on top speed.
Instantly, six people out of the sixteen passengers inside the bus died on the spot without any remedy. The rest were severally injured and taken to University Teaching Hospital [UCH] in Ibadan for treatments. The mother of Yetunde was one of the victims that died in the unfortunate mishap.
The untimely dead of the woman was a terrible loss that created a great vacuum in the community and the trade associations where Yetunde’s mother was an active frontline member and activist.
It was pathetic and painful! The families and relatives of Yetunde were in deep sorrow and mourning for their departed soul during the Christmas and New Year! They consoled themselves for the demised relative and accepted their Cross in good fate as a Christian.
As life would have it, Yetunde became an orphan like Esther in the Holy Bible. Yetunde expressed the grief of her parent’s death but never again sensed any sad days ahead.
She was without father or mother! However, she was not deserted nor lack maternal care in life.
Honestly, children who are deprived of love and parental care grow up to become maladjusted adults in the society. Yetunde was taken over by her mother’s immediate junior sister as the guardian.
An Ibadan based bulk food vendor at Bodija Market. The woman arose and took the responsibility of Yetunde’s schooling and welfare painstakingly until she got married. The Good Samaritan woman was absolutely inspiring and worthy of appreciation and reward. Only a few could be that nice in our society these days.
The guiltless girl Yetunde enjoyed nicely well a good parenting from her mother‘s junior sister who trained her from infantry. And interestingly, a popular adage says:
‘’Before a parent could proudly say that this is my child, such must have been seriously and dedicatedly taken good care off’’
Nothing can stop the lion from roaming the forest at anytime. Yetunde was able to continue her existence journey of destiny pleasantly.
Really, it may take a longer time, the stammered will pronounce ‘’father!’’
No matter the delay, sun will rise at the break of the day. Nobody can change the destiny; they can only hold the hands of clock.
Meanwhile, the families of her late father were scrupulously supportive as well. The godly Yetunde was never forsaken or abandoned. She equally enjoyed some foundling from time to time.
They planned and prayed that she should survive and enjoy a live of good and perfect health, progress and prosperity!
As a promising child, Yetunde kept flashing back at the final word told by her mother before she died:
‘’Chastity does not belong to the past. It saves you a lot of trouble; preserves your beautiful destiny and stands you out from the crowd. You are better off not engaging in pre-marital and extra-marital sex. Stay chaste!’’
The Beautiful Yetunde was morally sound and well religious and fully dedicated as a promising citizen. She does her duties and conducts with integrity and every honesty. She was neat, acute and moderate to taste as a teenager by any world standard. Nothing of shame or blemish was on her body. She was a perfect rare statue without any parody!

On weekends or during the holidays while in the secondary school at Abadina, Ul area before she was left for the university. Yetunde usually assist her aunty at Bodija Market to manage the trade and business outfit. She did very well.
Each time she was at the market, sales usually sour beyond normal; customers would kept coming to the shop in batches until the close of day. She had the magic ward that cracks the money code!
The junior sister of Yetunde’s mother, Mama Femi-Tola noticed the rare business influence and aroma with Yetunde. But she could not pin-point how come such an unusual experience?
The traits of entrepreneur and business magnitude began to grow in her until she graduated from the university. She was agile and very versatile, an all-rounder young lady of substance!
The innocent Yetunde’s love for education and business as a girl kept growing and waxing stronger day by day. In fact, the amicable life story of how Aliko Dangote started business with a raw cash of #500000 assistance from his uncle Dantata in Kano to trade with and from that He later became the richest Billionaire in Africa got her fired, inspired and highly motivated.
She looked forward to the day in the nearest future that own name too would be written with gold inside the big hall of fame and great achievers. ‘’ If others can be so lucky; definitely could also ‘’- Yetunde says boldly beating her chest in confirmation with assurance.
The beautiful and highly promising girl was naturally endow with spiritual gifts and a ticket for favour in several ways among the people within the community right from her birth into this terrible world of sin and sinners.
She was well attractive to both the male and female like magnet. The young and old, the peer boys and girls within the society who used to rally round her. Yetunde was a source of inspiration to all and sundry who gained a lot of things from a stocks of blessing morally, spiritually and otherwise.
The girl was whole and completely made by God as a special gift to the people of her time. What a right role model for her generation.
Luckily, Yetunde was used to the life and style of urban city when she got to Ibadan from Ikole-Ekiti. In life, every disappointment could later become a blessing in disguise. That’s the more reason why one needs to live every positively. There may be goodness of purpose in every experience of life that crosses your way.
‘’Tough Times never Last, but Tough People Do!’’
If not for the loss of Yetunde’s mother, it’s most likely that the glory attached with the destiny of the pretty girl would have stayed behind permanently at her fathers’ home town in Ikole-Ekiti rotten and hidden unnoticed without experiencing the taste of urban life pleasures!
But, as her destiny would attract good things, she moved down to Ibadan city to be living happily with Mama Femi-Tola. A guardian who was deep with passion for Yetunde with sincerity of mind and the fear of God which is regarded as the beginning of wisdom.
While in Ibadan, Yetunde was refined very well and got the right exposures. She used to stroll round the campus of The Premier University of Ibadan and its environs. The university community life greatly influenced her educational studies. She cherished and appreciate well the educated ones and dreamt of becoming like them one day in the nearest future.
And as a girl from Ekiti State, a place regarded as: The Fountain of Knowledge in the country where in every family; at least a university graduate emerges without stress.
Hence, Yetunde went from being a local girl from the village into the status of an elite. She buckled up, faced her studies squarely through rigorous book readings and burning the candles at night.
Her efforts yield good results. She passed her School Certificate exams in flying colours. Yetunde cleared all the nine subjects she sat for in WAEC with Distinction!
Thereafter, she managed to secured admission into higher institution at first attempt without wasting any extra time behind. The perilous challenges of time could not hold her back from the desired success as a promising daughter.
Despite being a pretty orphan girl, she never disappointed her guardians and sponsors. Also, she failed to be distracted by the wordily, unprofitable activities around in the urban settlements.
With or without parents, a child of destiny born into this world would still fulfilled her mission in life.
Really, some are born great, some have greatness bestow on them while the majority fought tooth and nail to become a success in life. ‘’The stubborn pig will reach Ijebu town for slaughter, only the disturbing noise would be so great!’’ says a common Yoruba adage.
No matter how rough the road of success may appear to be, making it to the end is the best testimony and report to make.
Equally, the spirit of her late mother was following her in existence.
Along the line, Yetunde got admission into one of the famous universities in Kwara state. An awesome way to kick-start and create the blue-print for the life journey of meaningful progress in the society as daughter of destiny from Ekiti.
She was very brilliant and highly determined to have headway educationally with the guarantee of super-successful and victorious life as a woman.
Early enough, Yetunde as a diligent girl puts her very best into what she does and pays rapt attention to details to achieve desired perfection.
She aimed and aspires to earn first-class degree at the end of her studies. Therefore, she faced her studies squarely as a well behaved single in the society; highly equipped with culture and native wisdom. She endured the hardship of virtue!
Despite her background, you would rarely find Yetunde with a frown or experiencing a bad day; the likelihood of such occurrences was extremely low. Instead, she always carried a gentle smile and excluded happiness and joy.
Emphatically, the secret behind this constant joy was the influence of God’s Word in Yetunde’s heart and expressed through his words; it shaped and directed her life each blessed day. She was independent of her circumstances as an orphan.
The godly Yetunde always admonish people around to be cheerful and exuberant with joy and praise to God, knowing better that it takes a joyful and happy person to make others joyful and happy. Since laughter is an expression of joy. Praising God;-being jubilant and enthusiastic with praise are good tonic for good living.
The beautiful and lovely young girl Yetunde used to spend the holidays with her mother’s sister in Ibadan and the family of her late father at Ikole-Ekiti interchangeably.
She usually enjoyed her stay as a favoured girl all the time. She was a highly cherished girl both at home or in the school. People usually show her deeper-love and affections anywhere she finds herself in the public!
Lady Yetunde was a friendly person and always smiles at everyone and say hello anyway. She was cultured and courteous. Equally, she was well and properly weaned in the depth of royalty and the cryptic language of the Yoruba culture.
