Chapter 13 : journey to Regalcrest I

As the wagon rumbled along the dusty road, Arin found himself seated among a diverse group of travelers . To his left sat a cloaked figure, their features obscured by the shadows of their hood, while across from him a family consisting of a father and his young daughter nestled close together, their faces alight with excitement and wonder.

Beside them sat an elderly woman, her weathered face lined with the passage of time, her eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief and curiosity. After a few hours of travel, she turned to Arin with a kindly smile and struck up a conversation.

"So, young man," she began, her voice warm and inviting, "where might you be headed ?"

Arin returned her smile, sensing the genuine warmth in her gaze. "I am journeying to Regalcrest," he replied, his voice tinged with a sense of anticipation. "I have business to attend to in the royal city."

The old woman nodded, her interest piqued. "Regalcrest, you say? A city of nobles and trade filled with secrets and intrigue. How fascinating!"

Arin chuckled softly, feeling a kinship with the old woman's spirit of adventure. "Indeed," he agreed. "It is a place of great beauty and wonder, yet also of great challenges and opportunities."

Curious, the old woman leaned forward, her eyes alight with curiosity. "And what might your business be, if you don't mind me asking?"
