While sitting at his place in an airplane, Kasper suddenly felt how invigorating power filled his whole body with vitality.
We already crossed the border, huh, he thought absentmindedly.
A person can never forget this intoxicating feeling of being in a place full of Mana. Ordinary people of Earth were unfairly robbed of this experience without their own knowledge. For more than a thousand years, they live in a Manaless World and take it for granted. Only the highest echelons of society know this secret, and they have no plans of sharing this with the rest of the people.
Kasper looked in the window, but he didn't see anything other than the dark ocean and dim starless sky. Maybe people in Neo Atlantis gain health, longevity, and magic thanks to all the Mana attracted by the city's Mana Vortex but being isolated from the outside world and losing the chance to see the clear sky still somehow can be considered as a price to pay. It's not like any of the citizens would be willing to exchange places with anyone outside, though. It would be pure foolishness.
Kasper's absentminded state was broken by the voice he hated with all his being.
"Of course, I love my nephew - he is like a son to me, haha," a middle-aged man laughed loudly. "Hey, Kasper! Say hello to Adriana. Maybe she'll become your foster mother one day, haha!"
A couple of seats away from Kasper, an older man and a younger woman talked without caring about making their voices quiet.
"Hehe, George," the woman replied in a coquettish tone, "I'm too young to have such a big son."
"So is me, so is me!" the man shamelessly lied with a smile while placing his hand on the woman's shoulder.
Kasper just continued to ignore them. It didn't matter if his uncle, who is also his legal guardian and foster father, asked him something. This person didn't really care if Kasper answered or not. He only cared about finding a new "prey" to make his dick wet, nothing else. And if his usual "mind magic" trick wasn't available, then playing a "kind foster parent" card was a nice choice.
About ten minutes later, it was the time for their in-flight meal. A somehow cute stewardess in her early twenties approached Kasper, and, soon after, she placed a simple-looking but really expensive meal before him.
"Bon appetit!" the girl said with a bright smile.
"Thanks," he replied curtly.

Kasper was already used to receiving a sort of "special treatment" from women. After all, he partially inherited his father's devilishly handsome face. And you definitely need to be a real looker to catch the attention of a talented woman from Ancient Clan while being an ordinary person without the ability to use magic.
The stewardess proceeded to serve the food to other passengers. Soon, she approached Kasper's uncle.
"Thank you, beautiful!" uncle George said with a wink, making his female companion wrinkle her brows.
"Of course, not as beautiful as you are!" he told the woman next to him, making her expression to soften.
The stewardess continued her work after giving a polite smile to the man and woman duo.
"What the fuck, you stupid bitch!" a loud and furious voice suddenly caught everyone's attention.
A burly man who seemed to be in his late fifties angrily looked at the stewardess who served the meal to Kasper and his uncle before. The situation became clear as Kasper's gaze shifted to the man's expensive-looking tuxedo, which became a mess because of the food and beverages spilled at it.
It seems someone is really unlucky today, Kasper thought. I only wonder if it is the girl or the old guy.
"I'm terribly sorry, sir!" the stewardess deeply bowed to the man, her eyes filled with fear.
She knew that anyone who can afford a flight to this place isn't someone she has the right to offend.
"You dirty Lamb, do you even know what you did? Look at this, bitch, look at this!" the angry man grabbed her shoulder and forced her closer to him so that she could "see better".
"This suit is worth more than your entire life! It is enhanced by Arcane Blacksmith, and it is made from Heavensilk, and..."
Before the man can continue, a deep voice interrupted him.
"Do you think it is the right way to treat a lady, you scum?" uncle George intervened before anyone else.
Hearing those words, Kasper almost laughed out loud.
The right way to treat a lady? he lampooned in his mind. Of course, someone who uses mind magic to rape magless wives and girlfriends knows how to "respect women".
"What did you just said? Do you even know who I am?!" the man let go of the stewardess and looked at George, who already left his seat.
"Of course I know who you are - you are the scum who doesn't know how to treat a lady with respect!" George responded with righteous indignation in his tone.
"What Arcane Blacksmith?" George continued. "What Heavensilk? It is just a cheap Enhanced tuxedo, almost any resident of any of the Arcane Cities can easily buy."
Hearing his bluff being exposed, the older man stood up from his seat and looked at his adversary with fury.
"You will regret that you just said, you lowborn bastard!" As he declared this, the man revealed a bronze Emblem on his left wrist. It was a dim tattoo in the form of a bird that looked like a sparrow with three eyes.
As she saw this Emblem, the stewardess felt weak in her knees and almost fainted.
"He is a mage from Tertiapass Clan," she whispered. "One of the Named Clans... I'm finished..."
The older man looked proudly at George while enjoying how some other passengers watched him with awe and fear.
"Do you know your place now, trash?" he said with an evil smirk.
He is dead, Kasper thought with some pity. He is so fucking dead...
Of course, the one he pitied...
"Hahaha!" George laughed.
...was the old man in the messed up tuxedo.
