A storm of dust rise over the horizon, in the middle of a vast desert under the scorching sun.
In front of it all, a white car is moving at a blistering speed, desperately trying to escape the dust creeping on them.
Suddenly, from the dust, a stream of bullets came from behind them. Desperately dodging it, the car swerve left and right, it’s body lean hard from one side to another as if it’s going to lift it’s wheels and flip.
“Shit, what bullshit bad lucks to meet an armed gang of thug here!”
Skillfully not letting their car flip while avoiding the bullets behind them, a stubby bearded uncle wearing a casual white T-shirt swear with indignation, his stout hand firmly squeeze the turning wheels, forcibly turning it left-to-right with bulging tanned muscle. Sweat came pouring from his short brown hair into his brown eyes, of which open wildly as he glare toward the back of his car through the rear-view window.
“Uncle, manner please.”
Behind him, a blond-haired young girl, wearing a glamorous frilly dress, is calmly sipping tea, which somehow doesn’t spill a drop even when the car is rocking violently from the rough road and wild, erratic movements. Looking with a calm violet eyes, she’s silently chastise him, for not keeping proper language.
“ ‘Manner please’ bullcrap! Don’t you see we’re being chase from behind us!?”
“Even so, as our chauffeur, don’t you think you must keep one’s manner and grace in serving of an elegant noble?”
“I’m not even your chauffeur in the first place, you pompous brat! I’m just a cabbies that have to dragged both your ass through this middle of nowhere, while still being pursuit by a murderous gang of marauder hoping to cap our butts!”
“Don’t you already receive lots of money from us, of which you graciously accept?”
“That before I knew you pissed off The Rolling Storms for some fucking reason, and now on a fucking run from them! Even 1 years of my earning isn’t worth the trouble, damn it!”
“Don’t worry, judging from the trajectory of the bullets stream, it doesn’t look like they’re trying to kill us at all. We should be fine.”
“But my car wouldn’t be! Do you know how many years of loan I have to pay for this sweet baby!?”
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Isn’t buying car on loan a bad financial decision anyway?”
“Well excuse me for not being rich like you, missus!”
“Sis, stop pissing our driver off please…”
With his voice lost in the bickering, the twin brothers can only held his right palm on his face, the same violet eyes looking distressingly at both of them.
* KANG *
Suddenly, a bullet scraped by the left side door, leaving a loud metallic clang. The driver screamed in distress.
“GAH, MY SWEET GIRL!!! My beautiful sweet girl, arhhhh!!”
“Uncle, manner please.”
“Manner my ass! At this rate my beautiful car is going to have holes all over!!”
“...So in other words, if those guy stop shooting, you would be fine right?”
“Yeah, I would really be fine, but what can you do-”
The uncle then turn around to complain to her directly, only to find her instantly disappeared. Instead, a soft thud is heard on the roof of the car, as the woman landed herself on top of it.
“Waa-How the heck do you even get up there! Get back in here before you get shot!”
Looking up behind him, the driver exclaimed, begging her to come back, while still skillfully driving straight and dodging the bullets. Ignoring his screaming, she concentrate on the cloud dust behind them, widening her stance on the door, and prepared to draw her katana she take out of nowhere with her right hand.
“Second Sword: The Line That Separate Heaven And Earth.”
Instantly, a flash gleaming from the sun appear on her hand, and a line is drawn between them and the rolling dust cloud, faster than anyone can see with their naked eyes. From that line, a wall of dust suddenly rise up, blocking the cloud in it track, and along with it the lines of bullets.
As the sight of the wall of dust gone further and further away, she store her sword to who-know-where as it disappear from her left hand. She then also is gone from the roof of the car, and reappear again inside the cabin, her hands once again holding the cup of tea without letting it slip.
“Uncle, please look ahead of us when you drive. You might hit someone.”
“This is in the middle of goddamn nowhere, how the hell can I hit someone! More importantly, how the heck can you do that!!”
Chastising the uncle who is looking at her with mouth agape, she look at him with a sharp eyes, still silently sipping her tea despite him screaming at her at the top of his lung.
“Obviously, this is a self-taught techniques, in which I cut out a line to separate us and them with a wall of dust...Also you will really hit someone at this rate.”
“ ‘Obvious’ my butt, That doesn’t explain anything! Also who could I possibly hit in this middle of nowher-!??”
Looking ahead of the road, the driver is taken aback, as the sight of a giant brown backpack suddenly appearing in front of them. Freaking out, the uncle then try to turn the wheels and slam the break, but due to the speed, he can’t dodge them in time.
Closing his eyes, he anticipate the hit, but after awhile, it strangely doesn’t come. Once he open his eyes, instead of the backpack splattering all over his windshield, all he see is thin air.
“Huh, where did the backpack goes? Is what I see a mirage after all?”
“Of course not, I just go out and store the backpack in my subspace before you hit it. Be careful next time, you really could have hit this adorable creature.”
“Phew, thanks you then...Wait, “adorable creature”?”
Taking a sigh of relief, the uncle nearly collapsed himself onto the handle, before doing a double take, and look behind him.
“Hi, everyone!”
Under the astonished eyes of the twin brother and the driver, a young boy said with a cheerful, bell-like voice, while sitting on the lap of the woman.
