A long Delayed Conclusion

A long Delayed Conclusion

"Hey Helena," Camila called from the doorway. "Why is there a dish full of salt out in front of our door?"

Helena looked over. Sure enough there was a bunch of white powder in a cheap bowl. "Probably someone superstitious trying to return you to the grave. Zombie created by voodoun magic can have their personalities restored with salt."

"Tch, if only it were that easy." Camila toed the bowl. "So what do we do with it?"

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

"We take it of course. Salt's expensive." Helena levitated the bowl over to check for poisons, just in case.

Camila shook her head. "Shouldn't we be worried that someone's trying to send me back to the grave? Kinda don't want to be dead dead you understand."

"Eh, it was only a half effort. If they'd been really interested it would have been holy water." Helena shrugged. "Half efforts like this are just normal. You get used to it."

"I think your definition of normal is very weird," Camila said

"Well if it gets us free salt, I'm not going to complain."

"Very very weird."
