I love it then I look at a big pink thing that rubs me then I follow the thing and I see teeth, many teeth, bigger than me!

The mouth is black with scales like me. It is reassuring!

This is how my first day on earth went!

I slept a lot between the legs of mom, in a nest of earth not to be crushed. Other eggs were there but had not hatched. The days passed and mom became more and more sad. I was too small to speak but I understood that mom was crying for the eggs. "Tilt", seeing mom who was going to crunch the eggs, I made a hole and decided to bury the 2 eggs in the ground! Mom was happy and kissed me! I knew that the eggs were not dead and by burying them we could later heat them so that they would hatch but Mom did not know that and I did, but I did not know why I knew!

Mom was nice to me and she never scolded me. When I did something wrong, she would take me and put me somewhere else and I was careful not to hurt her feelings.

Then one day it scratched in my throat and a sound came out: Squeak!

We were in a big cave that was slanted inwards and opened onto a room with a burnt altar. To get out, we had to climb the slanted rock but it was slippery and I could only see the clouds, the blue sky or the stars from outside. There were bats and I had fun running after them. Then a lizard. Mom wanted me to catch it to eat it but I spared it to her great surprise. I tamed it and we went bug hunting together. Mom respected my wishes and spared the lizard, at least I was learning the hunting techniques at my level.

I ate what she brought me but to keep me busy she once caught a puppy and was amazed that I was able to train it!

I played a lot with my companions in the cave. MAman was very kind to me. One day she brought a tree inside to make wood and fire!

But she was surprised when I took some rocks and sharpened them into blades and started to cut the branches.

She watched me with admiration: How clever my little one is!

Then I took the branches and built a cabin in the cave for me and Poof the dog. On the top branch, I put Zip the lizard and I slept in the hut but when the evening came, the shadows were big and threatening so I ran quickly to snuggle between Mom's paws.

She spoke to me and one day she told me her name: Ombrine! I repeated Ombrine (Mean small cute shadow in French), Mom I love you

And she burst into tears of joy.

Thus passed the most comforting moments of my life: between the paws of my mom and with my friends Zip and Pouf!

Then came the cold and the snow on the edges of our cave.

In the sky sometimes we saw like mini arrows followed by a white trail. I knew what it was but I couldn't remember why: Airplane? Airplane!
