Somewhere in the world, a time machine was built, creating a time paradox, and the states were thus united under one roof.
But everyone remembered bits and pieces of their lives before the time paradox and tried not to let these memories guide their lives. The world was now a single state, and the forms of government in the country were left behind, replaced by the "Assembly of Continents" that ruled each continent. The Assembly of Continents was nothing more than a group of people who were just a big bunch of bullshit. In fact, in the background was an artificial intelligence called Codename: Governor Delta, an engineering marvel designed to do every job. After all, it wouldn't be healthy to give the whole world the idea that we were ruled by a machine. Nevertheless, the hunger and misery that had existed in the world before the time paradox did not exist in this world. Only a few terrorist groups remained, but they were much weakened or had already been eradicated. For this reason, the armaments and defense industry had taken a hit, and instead institutions and factories working for the welfare of the people began to open one after the other. The general level of prosperity was slightly above average and there was no gap between the rich and the poor.
Old-world phenomena, such as people feeling superior to each other, were also minimized.
Everyone was content.
Those who remembered the old world in some of their memories were called to the memory center to get information about the old world.
All the knowledge of the world was gone, replaced by the artifacts of this new, powerful world and the events that left their mark on history.
The strange thing was that the inventions of the old world still existed. If things had changed, inventions should have changed. Or at least different. But it was exactly the same. There were no changes. At least that's what people who remembered it said.
The narrow-minded people who wanted their old homeland and land back often protested and rioted, looking for gullible, easy-to-delude followers to poison them with their ideas. But the majority of the population had already embraced the peace and happiness that peace brought, and they had found their place in the breeze of this sweet and rosy world. They wanted to keep it that way. No one minded that the country was called the Bright of Idealists Confederation (B.I.C), and some did not even remember their old country names. Because no one expected a world of war and ruthlessness. This new world brought with it a new technology and new mines. Called red core ionization, it was a way of extracting and harnessing enormous amounts of energy from the ore.
But...
No one knew how this technology was designed or who invented it. Although there were theories and ideas about how the time paradox began, these theories and ideas were nothing more than unsubstantiated, puzzling statements. The mineral used for this project was a pentagonal piece of stone, resembling a perfectly cut red ruby, but with a swirling black spiral inside, where the red color constantly shifts to different shades. These nuclei loaded into the reactor provided an enormous amount of energy. So enormous that, in theory, a stone weighing as much as thirty kilograms could provide enough stable energy to power the world even if all the electrical appliances in the world were always on.
For all its advantages, core also had disadvantages.
Although the energy in the core was always replenished for some unknown reason, the maximum energy that could be released was proportional to the weight of the stone, and just as dangerous. If the stones were used too intensively, they would reach a point where they could not be regenerated. If the core was removed from the reactor before it was stabilized, the reactor's conversion process was disrupted and the energy in the reactor was released. Even if the energy released was incredibly small, an explosion could, according to calculations, wipe an entire continent off the map. As long as the core was not removed, there would be no problem. There were seven of these reactors in the world, one on each continent, seven red drill teams and seven military teams called Ruby Point Operators. The purpose of the Ruby Point operation was to take the red cores captured by the terrorists and to go to the doorstep of the people who were said to be in possession of them and secure them.
Chester Vegner
He was the commander of the Ruby Point Operator of the Asian continent. He was a soldier with short, unkempt black hair, dull green eyes, stubble and a slightly shorter than average height. He was a man who could make the best decisions in the most difficult situations. But his decisions also left unforgettable scars. He had multiple deep scars on his face and body. The most noticeable was a huge cut on his forehead, above his right eye. According to the soldiers who served under him, what distinguished him from other commanders was his fearsome wit, more ruthless than the most ruthless man, and his obsessions from his old life. Unlike everyone else, Chester remembered everything clearly. In his life before the Paradox, he was a professional soldier waiting to die, but by chance he met Nesrin, a postal worker, and suddenly his life changed. Four years after they met, they got married, and nine years after they got married, he quit his job due to an injury he received and Nesrin's insistence. After leaving the army, he didn't know what to do, he remembered memories of helping his father with repairs and an angry memory of something he had said to him, and so he decided on his career.

"You're in over your head. Instead of helping me, you are playing with the oil-coated pistons on the floor. If you don't stop being lazy and help me, I will get up and beat your ass."
At a time when motorized vehicles were forgotten, electric vehicles and their derivatives were the norm, Chester chose to become a mechanic out of old habit.
As much as his father disliked Chester, he always tried to help him, hoping to be loved, even if only for a day, and he learned as much as a good master. When Chester was fifteen years old, a group of separatists went on a rampage, locking his father in the shop and setting it on fire. His mother died of an unknown illness a month after Chester was born. He had never been loved. The first time he was loved, he was, as usual, down on his luck. He wanted to make Nesrin happy on her anniversary with his savings, which he had worked for fourteen years and saved up tooth and nail, and bought her a solitaire, the best one he could find. He wanted to surprise her by coming home early and prepare for dinner.
However:
When he opened the door with a smile on his face, he saw that the house was in shambles, and in the hallway he saw a sign in big red letters.
"METRA GETS WHAT IT WANTS"
When he came closer to examine the writing, he realized that it was not made of red paint. It was too pale to be paint. When he realized what it was, he was filled with panic and his heartbeat quickened. He started running at full speed through the house. When he came into the living room, the worst thing he could imagine was in front of him. He saw his wife lying lifeless on the white couch, red with blood. She was holding a necklace that could be intertwined. A dove and a rose from its tail. He fell to his knees in pain and clasped his hands tightly. Nesrin guessed that Chester would come home early to surprise her on their anniversary, so she pretended to leave the house and took the whole day off. The only person in the world who had ever loved him was no more.
With nowhere to go and no one to turn to, he decided to become a soldier and then left for the only person who loved him. Chester changed completely after that day, sold all his possessions in order to get revenge and went on the road to find out who the Metra cult or person was. He didn't care how many there were or how strong they were. He still wanted revenge with his poisonous reflexes and intelligence. He had never been so filled with rage. Killing. In the army, on the front, it was the one thing he didn't like, but now he craved killing. But the years had not been kind to him. He was an old old man. He was often tired and took various medicines. For thirteen years, he had traveled to every corner of the world and learned nothing except that Metra was a cult. He had spent all his savings, taken out loans and even borrowed money from old friends. Finally, he collapsed in the middle of the street and was chained to the hospital because he had lung failure. He was spending his last days with his whole life in ruins.
But then times had changed.
An opportunity had arisen for Chester. Now he was in his twenties again. The first thing he did was to call Nesrin in the hope that she would also be found in this parallel world. He had searched for her for years but could not find her. He was reported missing years ago. That day, after having the necklace Nesrin wanted to give him made, he was on the road again.
Instead of letting it all go and turning over a new leaf, Chester became even more ambitious and decided to become a soldier again, started climbing the ladder at a fast pace.To crush the Metra cult. To destroy, even if there are consequences. He quickly climbed the ladder and began torturing prisoners he had personally captured in the field in order to learn everything he could about the sect on the ground. He thought that if he could reach high positions, he could use the army's intelligence for his own benefit. Many in the military could not stand Chester; his ethics were often questioned, and he had to plead with his superiors every week because he was complained about incessantly. Since Vegner had the most military successes, they always overlooked his problematic nature. Even though soldiers with no combat experience were running around, Chester had more experience than a the average combat veteran. In his former life he had been a professional soldier, but now he had become a better soldier by adding experience to his experience.
He was also the most successful continental group leader and Governor Delta's favorite soldier.
While other continents had trouble getting the stones when intelligence came in, the Asian Ruby Point Operators were able to get the stones without any trouble, even though there were only three of them. Their most important achievement was the ten-kilogram core captured the previous month, and everyone knew that Chester was the reason for this success. As great an achievement as this was, in the retreat after the capture, two soldiers under Chester's command were brutally killed in a firefight, and Chester was rescued not as the last survivor but as the only one breathing.
It was a small price for such a great achievement. Chester's treatment lasted for two months, after which he was promoted to the rank of colonel for active service.
Now, six months later, because of the words someone wrote on a piece of paper in the hospital, he had to go alone, unnoticed, to a place with no road, with no coordinates given as an address.
Having no idea why he had been summoned, Chester headed to coordinates he had received.
