Now, there’s some things that I need you to understand. First, despite where they have deigned to place this book, this is not fiction. Everything you are going to read is as real and tangible as you are. God does exist. In fact, ALL the Gods exist. But they aren’t important, at least most of them aren’t. Not to us.
Let’s see. What would my professor always say? Establish credibility? But how do you do that when the entire purpose of the test is to see if you will see without sight and hear without sound. I used to always laugh at the prophets in the scriptures, who couldn’t describe what they were seeing. How difficult can it possibly be. Now it’s my turn, and I find that the scorn I once levied against them, has come back with a vengeance.
So, I will attempt to copy God, from Genesis. In the beginning, there was darkness. I’m not talking about the kind of darkness where you turn off the lights in a room, but you can still see. I’m not even talking about the kind of darkness where most of the light is absorbed. This darkness was the first. It permeated everything. It put vantablack to shame. But what is the darkness?
To understand the darkness, you need to understand the light. How light grew from darkness. How darkness envied the light. How the light fought back and is still fighting back. I digress. To put it simply, and I cannot overstate how much I am simplifying this, Darkness can be equated to lack of knowledge, and Light can be equated to the sum of all knowledge. Not the sum of all our knowledge. No, no no. This is the sum of all knowledge. All truth.
The first God, rose out of the darkness of ignorance, and learned the secrets. I can’t say “the secrets of the universe”, as our universe is but one tiny, miniscule cog, in an ever-expanding sphere of universes, multiverses, planes, dimensions, and spheres of existence. Our universe occupies a space on the sphere so small that there isn’t a comparable example that I can give that would accurately describe the size. None the less, I shall attempt to convey the enormity of this sphere, our insignificance on it, and what exactly that sphere is for.
To give you an example of the scale of this sphere, I want you to imagine standing on the outside of the observable universe, so that you can see all of it. That entire universe, everything we know, everyone we know. All the observable facts and laws. All matter, anti-matter, space, material. Everything that we know that exists would fit comfortably, in relation to the whole of the sphere on which it resides, on less than a Planck Length, and has consumed less than a zeptosecond of time since the first awakening, in the grand scheme of things.
It’s ok if you need to take a second to look those up. I want you to understand the scale of what we are working with here. I want you, no, I need you to understand this. What you are going to read will make next to no sense if you cannot comprehend the scale of what we are involved in. I cannot convey to you the depth of responsibility we have, the power we are capable of wielding, or the urgency of it all, if you cannot understand our insignificance, and thus, our significance to the whole.
I said in the beginning there was darkness, and there was, and is. This darkness is the pool of ignorance. It is the absence of knowledge. It is, in a sense, idiocracy on an infinite scale. All beings with intelligence came from the pool of darkness. You, me. God. Your dog. If it has an intelligence that can be measured, and the ability to choos, it was once a part of this great pool of darkness. We have always existed, in one form or another. Our intelligence, who we are at our core, has always existed. Some call this a soul, incorrectly I might add. Some call it our spirit, which is also wrong. The soul is the spirit and body combined. The spirit is a vessel for our intelligence, created by God to prepare us for the time when we would get a soul.

However, you have not always had the level of intelligence you currently possess.
As much as I loathe to say it, because I know that one of you reading this will take it the wrong way, but reincarnation is real. Now, before you start jumping around screaming “I was right, I was right!! I knew reincarnation was real” lets settle some facts first. Yes, reincarnation is real. No, you will not become a cow after you die. You will not become a dog, or a butterfly or a dolphin. You won’t become an insect if you are “evil” in this life.
Now you might be saying, “But you just said reincarnation was real”, and it is, and while I can’t cover all of it right now, it will come up from time to time.
The problem with the Darkness is that the intelligences there are capable of intelligence but haven’t learned anything. They have no wisdom. They have no frame of reference, no life experience. The first Gods realized that, while it is possible to gain experience and wisdom from observation as they did, the vast overwhelming majority of us would need help. So, they established a plan to increase their ranks.
You might be asking yourself, “Why would they want to increase their ranks?” and it’s a valid question. To help you understand, I want you to think of the popular thought exercise that atheists and agnostics, or really anyone who doesn’t believe in “god” likes the bring up. Can God create a block so heavy, that he himself cannot move it? This is the kind of situation the first Gods found themselves in. They had gained knowledge. They had become, in an almost literal sense, illuminated. They understand the fundamental laws of existence, and because they understood those laws, they could manipulate them. Soon, universes, and planes, and dimensions were being created. Planets and moons, solar systems, galaxies, stars.
For the first time, there was creation. The fundamental laws were able to be controlled, manipulated to create, and create they did.
The first Gods created wonders, and beauty that we can scarcely comprehend. The beauty and mystique of the Universe is but a speck in comparison to the creations of the first Gods. But there was a problem. The intelligences that hadn’t obtained Godhood were feral. They didn’t understand the laws. They didn’t understand creation, or beauty. They didn’t know how to interact with these creations, and no matter how many creations the Gods made, they were always, ultimately, destroyed by the infinite, unending wave of feral intelligences.
You see, the feral, or uninitiated intelligences, UI for short, were drawn to creation. They were drawn to beauty and majesty, but like a child with an expensive toy, they didn’t understand how to interact with these creations in a manner that wouldn’t lead to their destruction. Repeatedly, the Gods would create, only to see their creations destroyed by the endless waves of the UI. Something needed to change.
I know this seems to be taking the long way around, but please bear with me.
The Gods created a council of the Gods. In this council they created a plan. Instead of spreading out as they had been, the Gods would come together and form a coalition to protect their creations. Knowing that they were vastly outnumbered, and knowing that they themselves were once UI’s, they concluded that if they could gain intelligence, and grow into Godhood, why couldn’t the other UI’s? Using this plan, they would be able to expand their ranks by creating more Gods, thus expanding their overall domain, lowering the number of UIs in existence, protecting their creations, while also finding a use for them.
This brings us to our next step. They divided the light from the dark.
