First, I would like to appreciate you for checking out the legend of the cursed samurai and reading it. Thank you so so much, it means a lot to me. I just wanted to use this opportunity to give a quick update on the story. I hope you read to the end to get a full idea of my inspiration, structure, and my plans for the story.

A quick background on my inspiration for the story.

Imagine taking Nickelodeon’s animated Avatar the last air bender, Cartoon Network’s Samurai Jack, and Netflix’s The Witcher and smooshing them all together in order to create something new. That is what the legend of the cursed samurai basically is.

It is a story inspired by the shows I watched as a kid growing up, as well as the shows I watch as an adult currently. Its writing style though is heavily inspired by the anime genre, as the descriptions of characters and character expressions is written in a way that is similar to anime. I intentionally did it this way because I am in love with the anime genre, and because I wanted the story to read as if you are watching an anime. This is even more prevalent from the way I’ve structured the chapters of the story, which I will go into more details below.

The structure of the story.

The story’s outline is made up of ten parts, with each part serving as a single episode.

For example.

Part 1 of the story which you have already read, has 20 chapters within it. And each chapter is a scene. So, the next part I will be posting eventually can be seen as episode 2, and the chapters within that episode will serve as its scenes.

I structured the story this way because it’s easier for me. by picturing the story play out like an anime I am actively watching in my head, writing it becomes a lot simpler and straight forward.

When to expect episode 2.

I only recently began writing episode 2 and chapters should become available on royal road by the second week of December. I hope you follow me so you will be notified when the chapters begin to drop.

It’s an idea I’ve had for years now and I am finally glad I’ve been able to begin sharing it with other people to read and experience. I realize there are minor editing mistakes current within the story, but prior to the release of episode 2 I will make sure to address and fix them.
