Tom looked back to where he and his family were. Chloe was hanging out with Ms.Lewis as Lucy lept around them. They were just hanging out with them as they stood outside. Tom was a little concerned about leaving Chloe with Ms.Lewis, but Lucy was already level 7. She should be able to protect them if the worst were to happen.
The group didn’t even get one step past the pool of blood when the notification popped up.
Quest: High School from hell
Three High Demons have emerged from the abyss to conquer your high school. Fortunately for you, the transition has severely weakened them. Kill them now before they regain their full power and claim this settlement as your own.
High Demons Killed: 0/3
Rewards: You will gain control over the settlement: Hopkins High School
Penalties for failure: Hopkins will become a demon-infested nest.
The group had barely finished reading the text when dozens of imps charged around the corner, cackling like maniacs.
"Demonic Fire Imp Level range of 3-9," Tom called out as the imps approached.
That little information was all the team needed in order to understand the situation. That was the benefit of wasting so many hours playing video games together.
"Alright then, let's blast them," Alex said, launching a chain-lighting bolt at the Imps without any warning.
The bolt slammed into the Imps before jumping to three of the closest ones in sequence, zapping all of the rapid demons rather painfully.
Instantly, the other Imps focused on them and charged. The claws of the imps were splattered with blood, and their yellow eyes glowed red. Their red skin had tiny black bone ridges along their bodies.
Conjuring a light ball, Tom launched the spell at the imps at the same time Alex launched a fireball. The two balls of magic sailed toward the imps and slammed into each other, exploding mid-air without each other without harming a single imp.
"Oh Fuck!" Alex swore as the imps charged down on them unperturbed.
"Abaddon," Tom ordered as he and Alex hid behind their tank.
Skippy danced through the imps with a grace he never had as a human as he delicately slid his sword along the side of the charging animals leaving Ms.Lewis's with crimson along their flanks as he casually stepped past their attack.
Abaddon took a far simpler approach. As the imps charged at him, he leaned down, bent his knees, and caught the charging demon like an umpire catching a baseball. The animal squealed like a caught pig. But Abaddon didn't let go. Instead, he picked up the imp and slammed it into a second imp that had been charging him.
There was a sickening crack as the two living creatures slammed into each other, making Tom wince. Then, a third imp slammed into Hector's legs and bounced off.
"When do spells interact with each other mid-flight?" Alex asked angrily out as she blasted the imps, trying to flank them with a stream of fire.
"They do now!" Tom stated as he started to draw more glyphs in the air.
Abaddon rose to his knees just as a fourth, fifth, and sixth imp charged at him. Abaddon's hand shot out, punching one of the imps in the face and shattering its skull on impact.
"I'm already missing the pain modifiers," Abaddon muttered as the imps left deep claw marks on his scaled body.
"It's not too bad," Skippy said as he decapitated an imp with a [Piercing Strike].
"It's easy for you to say you haven't been hit yet," Abaddon said as he kicked another brother's imp.
Tom finally finishes his glyph and unleashes it on the pigs.
"Mass confusion," Tom casted.
Tom watched as the coordinated attack of the dire imps devolved into chaos as they attacked each other, ran in the wrong direction, and, in one case, stopped fighting together and just started to shit themselves.
Abaddon, Skippy, and Alex didn't miss the opportunity. Abaddon lept on top of one of the imps and started to punch the animal to death. Skippy dashed back and forth, slashing open the throats of every imp he came across. Alex shot bolts of ice at the imps one by one, impaling each of them until there were none left alive and the notifications were rolling in.

"Alright, let's review," Tom said, "where did we fuck up?"
"You and Alex crossed the streams taking this from an easy fight to a pain in the ass," Abaddon stated.
"Lesson learned," Tom muttered. We need to stagger our fire to ensure we don't cancel each other out. Is there anything else?"
"More Imps incoming!" Skippy warned.
Turning, Tom saw at least another dozen imps charging right for them.
"Icy Burst," Alex said.
A blast of icy wind blasted out from her hands, cutting into imps, inflicting both cutting damage and slowing them down.
The imps burst into flames as they tried to get rid of the frost creeping over their bodies. They never got the chance as Abaddon and Skippy dove into their ranks. Every one of Abaddon's punches turned an imp into a pancake, while Skippy needed two of the three sword swings against an imp to kill it.
"Why were we so shit against the bear again?" Skippy asked.
"Because we were all freaking out. And then you died, and there's no pain setting. Also, my sister was there, so I wasn't really focusing on the fight so much as keeping her safe." Tom pointed out.
"It doesn't matter." Alex said, "No more of this apocalypse crap. Just some proper questing. Did we kill any of the demons?"
"No," Tom said, "Just imps."
"Can you use [Far Seeing] to find the higher demons?" Abaddon asked.
"Give me a second," Tom muttered as his perception raced through the school. [Far Seeing] wasn't like looking through a telescope; it was more like his point of view moving out of his head, and he started to fly around the school.
Examining the place floor by floor as he searched for their targets. The school was mostly filled with imps wandering around in groups of five or six, but he did find a few rooms he couldn't peek into.
"There are four rooms I can't see into," Tom informed his team.
"Boss rooms?" Abaddon asked.
"Boss rooms." Tom agreed. "First is the gym, the third-floor north side, the theater room, and the auto shop. I can't find the fifth one."
"If three of them are on the first floor, let's remove the one on the third first and clear out the place as we make our way down," Alex suggested.
No one had a better idea, so they made their way up to the top floor. Their school was divided into three floors. The first floor primarily consisted of home economics trade classes and three separate gyms. The second floor focused more on academic courses like history, computer programming, and mathematics, and the third floor was relegated to science classes, particularly physics, chemistry, and biology. This wasn't a rule, but it was a predominant theme throughout the school.
As they made their way up to the third floor, they discovered another group of imps patrolling the floor. This time, Tom took the lead.
"Nova," Tom chanted.
Instantly, a wave of light rose from his feet before slamming into the imps, sending them crashing to the ground.
"Chain lighting." Alex chanted, sending lighting to cascade across the water, electrocuting each and every one of the imps and sending them collapsing to the ground. After that, Abaddon and Skippy cleaned up the imps.
"Is it me, or is this just too fucking easy?" Skippy asked.
The rest of the group gave him a look.
"You just had to ask that, didn't you," Abaddon muttered as the sound of hissing filled the hallway.
The group turned to see a veritable wave of imps charging them. Their beady orange little eyes locked onto them like a pack of hungry rats.
"Fucking shit," Skippy muttered.
"Switching to healing," Tom warned.

The first imp launched itself into the air at Abaddon. Before it could get close, Alex unleashed an icy wind spell, blasting it back into the group of imps.
Abaddon didn't waste the opportunity. Instead of launching himself into the wall of imps, Abaddon roared and brought his fist down, killing two of them instantly. Skippy skewered four of them with a [Far strike] Before he started darting around Abaddon's heels, stopping any imp from flanking them.
Alex kept up her barrage of magic, cycling through her spells as she blasted, froze, crushed, or sliced the imps into oblivion. The imps started to climb up Abaddon's body, clawing ineffectively at his scales as he repeatedly smashed, punched, and squashed them.
"This is fucking great!!" Skippy cheered as he decapitated an imp with a casual flick of his swords.
Tom lept back as six imps attacked him. He pulled out a scroll and used it to blast away five of the imps, kicked a sixth as it lept at him, and fired off a few healing spells to Abaddon. They were all slowly accumulating cuts and injuries as they battled through the endless tide of imps.
Tom tossed up a light barrier to try and protect Alex and himself as Abaddon and Skippy shredded through the imp hordes.
"Need a heal," Abaddon called out.
Tom dropped a healing spell on his friend out of reflex as Alex covered him with a blast of superheated ash. The time to run. Abaddon stomped on the ground as he let out a roar like a t-rex.

Half of the imps turned and scrambled away in terror while the other half lept at Abaddon, seaming him like a swarm of insects as they scratched and clawed at Abaddon's reptilian form.
Tom started casting every life spell he could at Abaddon.
“Alex, cutting wind on Abaddon,” Tom ordered
Alex didn’t say a word, instead casting a spell. Instantly, hundreds of little blades of wind wrapped around Abaddon like a twister.
The little blades of wind shredded the imps like they were in a blender, and at the same time, Abaddon's scales' hide was sliced up almost as fast as Tom could heal it.
Soon enough, the last of the imps died, and Abaddon slumped to the ground in exhaustion.

“That hurt. Are we sure we can’t fix the pain setting?” Skippy asked.
“I think you can use the [Focus] skill to change the pain setting outside of the menu,” Tom said.
“I think that it’s going to have to go into the skill tax,” Skippy said. “I am not a masochist.”
“We should stop standing around,” Abaddon breathed. "We need to kill the higher demon before it sends more.”
“Give me a minute, Big guy, you're not above 50% hp yet.”
“I can use a second wind.” Abaddon offered.
“If you waste that for free healing, I’m going to drown you,” Tom stated.
“Hurry the fuck up would you,” Skippy growled
Tom decided to just compromise. Pulling out one of his scrolls of healing, he activated it, immediately healing Abaddon back to full.
“Fucking finally, let’s go,” Abaddon growled, leading the way forward with his bloodied claws.
They moved down the hallway, following the trail of imps to the homeroom on the north side of the building. When Abaddon stepped through, he stopped and just stared.
"Holy shit."
Skippy quickly looked through the door and just stared.
Alex and Tom peeked inside and froze
"This is so hot," Alex moaned.
"What the fuck!" Tom exclaimed.
In front of the group was a succubus completely in the nude as she lounged on the desk like a swimsuit model. Her face was achingly beautiful, with two large horns pushing up from the side of her head; her ears were pointed like an elf's, and her skin was a deep red. Her massive naked tits made Alex's new porn star breasts look modest by comparison, and her hips were clearly wider than her shoulders by a good margin. Unfortunately, that was where the scene went from sexy into pure fetish material.
Her stomach distended outwards in a macabre mockery of pregnancy as the skin of her distended stomach wiggled like a bag full of eels. Her oversized breasts continued leaking milk down her body. Even as they stood there in stunned silence. Even as he stood there, an imp wormed its way out from between her legs as the succubus moaned in ecstasy. Tom felt like his mind turned to mush as the succubus caressed her ---

Imp Brood Mother - Succubus
The imp mother is a succubus who specializes in fertility magic. This demon often has hundreds, if not thousands, of imp children, all of which are under her control. The only time she is not giving birth is when she is gathering new genetic material for her children.
Despite commanding literal armies, the imp mother has very few, if any, direct combat abilities. Instead, this demon focuses on its children and its ability to inspire lust in those in proximity to her.
"I volunteer to seduce the succubus," Alex said, inching forward as she started fumbling with her clothes.
"She would drain you dry," Tom pointed out as he prepared a spell to kill the Imp mother.
"Totally worth it." Alex breathed heavily as she watched the succubus tail plunge in and out of her own butt as she birthed more imps. Alex slid her pants down her waist, forcing Tom to try and one-handedly keep them up.
"Abaddon, would you please just kill it," Tom begged as he tried to keep Alex's clothes on.
He looked over to his friend, but Abaddon and Skippy were completely mesmerized by naked succubus mammaries.
"Yeah, enough of this shit," Tom muttered as he cast sunbeam.
A beam of pure sunlight leapt from his hand and punched through The Imp mother's belly. The red skin blacked and burned before it burst open in a shower of gore, and red tadpoles the size of rats spilled out onto the floor as the Imp mother screamed in agony as her children and her internal organs pooled on the ground. Tom followed up with a spear of light directly to her head.
Tom checked the imp mother's status and confirmed that she had suffered enough damage to not be able to recover.
"What just happened," Alex asked, coming out of whatever spell she was under.
"You were all enthralled by the imp mother I killed it," Tom explained.
"Did you get pictures?" Alex asked hopefully as she pulled her pants back up.
Tom blushed.
"No, I didn't get pictures."
"Buuuuttt Tom. that was hot," Alex complained in mock sadness.
"Well, this room is fucked" Abaddon noted.
Tom looked back at the mix of demon tadpoles and abiotic fluid now staining the floor.
"Yeah, we're going to need a deep clean for that," Tom stated as the Imp mother died.
