It has almost been fifty years since I embarked on this road of death and carnage.
I remember the peaceful village of Yate where I grew up, the simple afternoons spent chasing rabbits near the river, the constant scolding of the village elder about responsibility.
Fifty years. Fifty long and arduous years.
I remember the scenes of freedom and innocence from my childhood, the scenes of laughter and joy, the scenes of a loving family and friends.
I remember the scenes but not the feelings. My heart is but a stone, my soul is but darkness, and my legacy is but destruction.
They said I was their hope, their salvation, and I believed them. I believed them and took my blade for their hope, I believed them killed millions for their salvation.
Where was the salvation of those I killed, where was their hope. Who gave me the right to orphan children, to widow wifes, to extinguish dreams and to spread pain. Who dares give such a right to any man, and which man dares accept such a right.
My mind is filled with regrets, my heart burdened by guilt, my soul darkened by sin, but my hand is still steady and my sword still sharp.
Fortunately, today is the day I die. Here I stand facing and army, million strong with only a hundred thousand. I will most definitely die. I will finally leave this wretched body and be free of its wretched history.
Perhaps my name will forever be forgotten, my deeds buried by the sands of time, my sins paid for by my blood. Oh how I wish it would be that simple. My name will be forgotten, but I will forever be remembered as a butcher of men. My deeds will be buried in time, but my destruction will remain forever visible, and my sins will be paid for fully but not at the cost of my blood but at he cost of my soul.

Oh, you're still here. You are an odd one to want to listen to the last words of a old monster like me, but I will indulge you.
I will tell you a story from long ago. My story that will never be told by any historian, or recorded in any book. The story of how the greatest monster this world has known came to stand where he stands today.
But be warned. You will come to learn of fear, of death, of treachery, of betrayal, and of many things that human know of but hardly ever face.
You will see how a demon is truly born, and see how a human truly dies. No, not simple physical death, but death of the most horrid kind. A death of hope, of kindness, and of love.
Whether you believe my story or not, whether you hate me or not, whether you listen or not. None of it matters.
I have done what I have done, whether I did it knowingly or unknowingly, it can never be erased.
