Chapter 19
The Soul Seer
“Anubis? Like the Egyptian God of death?”
“Yes Master, but I’m no God, that title belongs to you” The Dog headed man, now known to us as Anubis shrugged off, eyeing me with his doggy eyes of admiration.
“Ugh! Humans” Scoffed Saido who went back to his floating position, the man really wasn’t fond of walking “These unintelligent, insect-brained creatures, give them a reason to worship someone powerful, and the next day he’s their Go-“
*SWOOSH*
Instant sweat covered Saido from head to toe.
Anubis raised his spear, and a gust of grey wind blew from the tip toward the flying Saido, it was too fast for any of us to see.
The gust formed into a needle, which stopped less than a centimeter from the space between Saido’s eyes.
“You do not Mock your creators, Jade Emperor, if you know who’s that man really is, the thought of insulting his species wouldn’t even cross your thick brain” He pointed a claw at me “You would have bowed your head to the ground and licked his, beautiful feet, Now get down there and don’t show your arrogance before his majesty ever again” He swept the spear down, and Saido fell like a bird shot on a duck hunting season, hitting the ground with soft landing with Pantharax morphing it into something soft and stretchy.
Everyone just stood there, stupefied in one way or another, either at the display of power or the explosive declaration he just made.
He turned back at me and lowered his head and ears, his tail covering the area between his large muscled thighs.
“I apologize for my unnecessary outburst Master, I’m … I’m-”
“It’s ok Anubis” I carefully put my hand on his shoulder, and the man froze for a second as if an ice cube slid down his back on a hot day, his ears twitched backward in a complete alert state.
Hmm! Might as well give it a shot
I moved my hand a bit behind his ears and moved my fingers to tickle the area, and as I expected, he melted.
“M-Masssterrr, oh hoooow looooong has it beeen” his tail started to wiggle so hard it nearly blew me away, he couldn’t resist and went on his feet, his deep voice turning into some huffy, ragged gusts of air.
Oh gosh, It’s just like a dog
“Who’s the good boy?” I asked with a grin I couldn’t resist showing.
“I am Master, I am the good boy”
“Now get up and help me with this eye, I have no idea how to use it. Ryola, come here!” I ordered the woman holding her weapon in anticipation, ready to strike the man melting in my hands at a moment’s notice. I looked at her and pointed with my chin for her to come over, and she reluctantly started doing with slow steps.
“Anubis, since you are all that powerful, why didn’t you help me with my fight with the dude in the tower?” I stopped rubbing his ears, making him go back to his calmer, stern dementor, although a bit saddened.
“It was an order not to directly interfere Master” he stated while looking at the ground as if I was shaming him.
“By whom?”
“By you, Master. Although I and Nozzy were spared of the cycle, you gave strict orders not to get help that affected your growth, although we couldn’t really help it sometimes”
“How so?” I demanded a clearer answer, his words, like everyone I met in this new world, made little to no sense, but I was already used to it, and I already knew the Me who ordered him.
“Did you think that your body could withstand two hundred thousand volts, back in Neo-Roma? Or the showdown between you and Artemis on the beach? A punching contest with a Grokati dominator? A battle with six thousand blood whisperers or the fact that you can grow back from just a head like you did recently especially with the loss of the yoctonites in your bloodstream?”
“Y-Yes. Uh, umm. H-How?” My brain kicked into overdrive, thinking about most of the impossible feats I did since I was awoken from my deep ocean slumber, but regenerating from just a head, that was beyond reason.
“Your life energy and Nozzy’s are connected, each time you sustain an injury, his life force pours into you, even if you were at the end of the cosmos”
I dropped all questions I had and clung to just one, of which like everything he said, was confusing and unclear.
“Who’s Nozzy?”
“I’m afraid I’m not allowed to say, Master, your orde-”
“Yea, I know, now help me with the eye thingy” I was already groggy from the healing Pantharax did, I was physically fine, but I felt tired with all the shit happening, I just wanted to lay back and enjoy some quality time with my friends, something that rarely happened.
“But the back ones call him Envy, a really cool man” Anubis winked, imitating my modern earthen voice and speech, of which made me chuckle.
Envy, huh!
She stood before u as I held the eye, rotating it like a monkey holding a Rubik’s cube.
“Now what?”
“Just hold it near her forehead” Instructed the Dogman, pointing at the hidden eye socket above her double irised eyes.
“Like thi-? Ohhh”
Tiny tendrils sprung out of the eye and latched into Ryola’s forehead, making her stumble backward and fall on her back after tossing Zao away from panic. She started twitching and spasming as the eye dug its way into her forehead.
“Anubis, I-Is she ok?”
“Yes Master, more than ok”
A few min have passed, and the twitching completely stopped, she was moving like a corpse, her complexion changed, her skin got more defined, a bit player but retained the pink hue, all her now-three eyes are closed shut as a large eyelash formed above the new larger eye.
“Adam, the weapon” Mahaar warning came late as an explosion of purple fire boomed beside us, the weapon lied inside the fire, changing shapes like putty.
She weakly got up scanning her surrounds, and opened her two lower eyes, followed by the third one in a slower motion, the first one she looked at was Mahaar, it made her breath grow faster, as if something she saw scared her, then she looked at the frowning Saido with the exact same reaction.
She turned her head to look at Anubis, and a yelp left her mouth, she took a few steps back, feeling her side and back with her hand, searching for her weapon, but the Dogman just smiled and pointed a finger at my direction.
Then her eyes went my way, followed by …
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAA”
Screams, screams like she saw the god of death or something.
“sigh! She’s finally here, goodbye food reserves” the frustrated Eve’s voice faintly tickled my head, but I brushed it off, trying to think about something to do with the woman pissing herself here.

Ryola POV
“Bukakha from the first weapons lap, step forward”
My heart skipped a few beats as I found myself unable to see due to something vailing my vision, but someone was holding my hand, I felt the ground nearer than usual, my body was smaller.
Did I turn into a child?
We walked in what felt like an open space, a desert perhaps for a few minutes until a huge hand touched my back.
“Atrie, bow down” a whisper from a woman with a loving motherly voice ordered me, and half a knee was bent before a presence that overwhelmed my very existence.
“Hello Bukakha, long time no see” an imposing, world-shattering yet familiar manly voice entered my ears.
“H-Hello Lord Primus, an honor to stand in your presence"
“Hahahaha, come on Buka, drop the formalities, how’s Artie?” I felt his face turn in my direction.
“She’s doing fine your majesty, in fact, we’ve finally been able to implement the Ultrasight technology into her, the first of its kind my Lord”
“Hoo, Amusing, come here girl” I felt myself rising above ground, with a large pair of hands, the man held me in his arm.
“Hey Artie, how’s school,” The man asked, but I choked, words refused to come out.
“...”
“She’s a bit shy your majesty” the woman, presumably my mother replied in my stead.
“She? Come on, she’s already seven, you’re a young pretty lady now, and pretty ladies are not supposed to be shy, they’re supposed to have tongues sharper than swords, right Eve?” I felt him turn his head beside him, addressing someone with a presence second only to him.
*SMACK*
“OUCH! THAT HURT” the man complained with a hidden chuckle in his voice.
“It’s okay my dear, you ARE pretty, but don't listen to that thick-headed idiot, open up to the world at your own pace, you have all the time in the universe” her soothing, charming, otherworldly voice hit my ears, calming my very core.
“Bukakha, your gift” another voice echoed, directed at my mother.
“Y-Yes Lord Secundus” She shrugged in embarrassment, followed by a laughter from thousands of voices present in this windy place.
The man put me back down to where I stood beside my mother as she handed him something.
“Buka, that’s a gun, you know I don’t use guns?” The man stated with an amused voice.
“Yes, my lord, this is the XA-0 the first of the XA series, although we failed to replicate it since it was a prototype, but it proved to be one of the ultimate weapons we have ever created” the woman threw her sales pitch at the man, I could feel the sweat on her forehead.
“But that doesn’t answer the question,” Said the man a faint sound of a hand scratching a cheek could be heard.
“Yes, my Lord, but this is not the entire present. THIS, is the present” I felt her hand on my back again. “Here’s my gift, my own daughter, as the wielder of the weapon”
The cheek scratching sound stopped “Sorry Buka, I'm not into kids” the man lightly said with small laughter, followed by a loud giggle from the woman beside him.
“My lord, not only she is unparalleled in sharpshooting, she even broke every single record in the school, but also she has trained and developed the Oojinara awakening, at the age of seven your majesty” my mother proudly stated, slowly pushing me toward him inch by inch.
“But that doesn’t mean that I bring a child to war, Buka, you know how dangerous it is without a Tractus” His tone went sharper as if he remembered something painful.
“Hehe, say that again after you see THIS” she started unwrapping what was blocking my vision.
“Ohoo, that is indeed interesting, you succeeded!” My eyes shot open in shock as I saw the man’s face, his eyes also wide upon seeing me, a word left my mouth I could help but mutter it from bewilderment.
“Adam”
I opened my eyes to see Mahaar, staring at me with raised eyebrows and a somewhat defensive stance, above him, I saw another golden Grokati with numerous crossed arms the size of a planet, his expression that was of peace, an expression of trust, goodness, and love, yet it seemed volatile, as if it could explode upon touch.
That was his soul.
I felt so overwhelmed I turned to see the Noran/ Bakthu’mian hybrid called Saido it was the same, a soul the size of a small planet, with a man sitting on an excessively ornamented throne staring me down like I was some kind of discarded garbage or a lesser life form. Confidence, pride, disgust were all over his soul, yet there were mercy, sympathy, and justice as well.
I backed down to turn away from them, only to find a galaxy before me, a soul so large my heart nearly stopped when I saw it.
Zao, Zao where are you
The man called Anubis, looking at his soul was extremely painful, he noticed and pointed me to look away, a decision I regret not putting thought into it, I looked at where his finger was pointing.
My mind went blank, this was no soul, it was the universe itself, I couldn’t even fathom its size, it was Adam, and above Adam was the man from the vision, his fame spread as long as far as I could see, I felt my heart completely stop, my brain went blank, all I felt was, unrefined, primal fear.
I lost control over myself.

Adam POV
“Ryola, Ryola calm down, RYOLA!” for the past few minutes, she shouldn’t stop screaming, even if I held her arms, straining her on the ground, her screams were so loud my brain was vibrating, the calm, composed Ryola was nowhere to be found, and I was fed up.
“ARTEMIS, SHUT THE FUCK UP!” I unintentionally roared, covering her new larger eye with my hand, and it seemed that it was a success.
“Adam” she weakly wheezed, clearly out of breath.
“Yes, Adam, now chill, no one will hurt you”
“Zao, wher-” I cut her off, pointing at the flaming dough nearby.
“Keep the eye shut, and I will go see what’s wrong, even Pantharax wouldn’t swallow it” I got of her and walked up to the flame.
“Worry not Artemis, you soul is just as large” Anubis tried to calm her, but her eyes won’t leave the flame.
Hesitant, I walked up to the fire and reached out to pick the weapon morphing madly inside, changing into weird, complex, slimy shapes, but what happened is that the weapon picked me, transferring me once more into its own world.
Back on the unbelievably high mountains I was, standing on the temple ground where I spoke to the giant old man in chains, yet everything was different, thousands of children, from toddlers to young adults, standing in a neat, square formation practicing some kind of martial art, instructed him, was the giant old man of Asian origins.
This time, he was in purple robes, his body was far from an old man, but someone in the peak of his strength, and as soon as his eyes met mine, everyone stopped, turned my direction and bowed down, their foreheads on the marble floor, like I was some kind of a tyrant pharaoh or something.
“Welcome back, the temple of Sagittarius is honored by your presence, Lord Primus” The man thundering voice echoed throughout the temple.
“Thank you Zao, I see things have changed considerably, are these your children?”
“Yes, these are my children, my arrows”
“Arrows?”
“Bullets, if you would like to call them that as well” The man simply answered as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
Weird shit is weird I wondered but brushed it off as I asked why he’s in flame.
“Zao, why are you on fire out there? She just got her eye back, why don't you go back to her?” he said with a wide grin that didn't fit his age.
“Because I got mine as well, Lord Primus” A vertical slit opened on his forehead, revealing a third eye like Ryola’s.
“She has to seek me, accept me once again”
“Pick you up you mean? That simple?” I asked with a squint, but no menace could be felt from the simple old man.
“That Simple” He repeated, his grin still on his face, the man truly was happy his shackles were no more “thanks for freeing me, I shall be forever in your debt”.
“Just serve her well Zao, that’s all I’m asking for” I hastily said as I jumped out from the mountain range, opening my eyes again to see myself standing in the purple flame, unharmed.
“Ryola, your partner is calling” I didn’t even complete the sentence as she jumped into the flame with zero hesitation or regard for her life.
She picked up the putty, and as soon as it reached her hands, the flames were no more, what remained are a pair of gloves the color of her original armor, Vantablack, the extremely dark shade of black with purple streaks of light running through it, the gloves kept spreading over her arms, shoulder, erasing the armor that she already wore, covering her completely in a new suit of armor that reflected no light.
Four red dots appeared on where her eyes were, followed by a larger dot on her forehead, the new helmet opened, showing the beautiful crimson eyes in its whole glory, she wasn’t afraid anymore yet still adjusting to seeing me somehow.
Her arms spread as a thin line of black and purple formed between them, taking the shape of a bow, then it morphed to a sword, an axe, a machine gun, a rifle, a bazooka, twin large pistol, a whole assortment of weapons, as if Zao turned to whatever she wished for, all within the span of mere seconds.
“You look so fucking cool at the moment” I whistled in amazement as I saw the new suit of armor and the unbelievably convenient weapon.
“T-Thank you, Adam,” she said with a small blush.
“My mission here is done then” Anubis’s voice came out to ruin the mood.
“Where are you going? I thought you’re staying with us now” I said with an urging voice, I grew to like the man … Dog.
“It’s my mission, we shall definitely meet again, after all, I’m one of your generals, and the more generals you have, the stronger you are Master” He wasn’t keen on the idea either, he didn’t want to part ways with me again, but I understood, this Primus guy was so mysterious.
“You should seek out the ice sector, sector 670.21, there you shall meet with Nozzy, by now, he should have located some of the remaining generals” A sandstorm covered the man, enveloping him in a small tornado, at first, I thought it was Saido up for revenge, but the sand seemed to belong to Anubis.
“No” I simply shook my head.
“No?” He questioned as he started to fade god knows where.
“I will go there, but there’s something I need to do first”
Anubis just tiled his head in question.
“We’ll head to Masdak first, there’s something Mahaar has to do”
“You mean Asura’s home? I don’t think it’s a bad idea, but you need to hurry, they started to kill the planet”
“What do you mean” This time, it was the anticipating Mahaar who flung the question.
“You will know once you get there” these were the last words Anubis said before disappearing, Making Mahaar’s fist clench so hard I saw strings of blood seeping down.
“Pantharax, set course for Masdak, we have a Brother to fuck the shit out of,” I said as I winked at Mahaar, who opened his mouth to speak, asking how I knew but decided not to.
"Also, pour me a cup of coffee, I know you have some, I can smell it from here"
----------------------------------------
On a mountain of corpses, sat a Grokati with a hulking frame, four arms on each side, looking up to the angry, thundering skies, until a one particular lightning bolt drew a terrifying image in the sky, accompanied but the loudest cry of thunder.
“He’s finally coming back” The Grokati muttered, his face is a strange mixture of anger, fear, joy, and anticipation.
“High chief Ammar, we are finished” A six-armed Grokati put his top arms on his mouth in a futile attempt to amplify his voice to reach the man thought the raging thunderous skies, but the Chief heard him nonetheless.
“Good, Pluck the arms and load them on the kushabis” the eight-armed man nonchalantly spoke, yet his voice was loud and clear as if the storm itself avoided angering him.
“What about the bodies” the dominator spoke.
“Burn them”
