At just 15 years old, Vincent was already well-known in his town due to his enormous size and body mass. He quickly fell in love with wielding large weapons, particularly his sword, the Bone Crusher, renowned for breaking and crushing bones with a single swing. By the age of 21, Vincent had become a renowned Class S adventurer and was recruited by the Emperor into the Quartz Division. Specializing in earth magic, he served the Emperor for over 10 years. He retired as a 1st rank major after sustaining serious leg injuries during a mission, and the Emperor granted him the position of guild leader in Willowshade.
However, Vincent hated the job. Every day felt boring and repetitive to him, especially as he watched the new adventurers come through the guild. Most of them, in his opinion, were too weak. To amuse himself, Vincent decided to add a new requirement to the registration process: a combat test. Unlike the usual test, where instructors merely observed the adventurers’ skills, Vincent made the newbies fight him. After all, paperwork and documentation didn’t give him any excitement — only dungeon breaks or urgent extermination quests gave him some action.
Vincent quickly grew to love his new approach to the job. He looked forward to each day, wondering who the next newbie would be that he could teach a harsh lesson. But little did he know that one special girl would soon walk through the guild doors and entertain him even more.
Back at the training yard, Celeste steadied herself, holding her sword and glancing back at the boys to ask if they were ready. Before they could respond, Guild master Vincent charged at them without holding back, wielding Bone Crusher in one hand and preparing to smash them with it. Celeste reacted quickly, drawing her sword to block the attack.
A deafening sound erupted as her sanctum energy collided with the earth magic in Vincent’s swing, sending dirt flying everywhere. Celeste focused her sanctum in her arms, legs, and sword, absorbing the blow. Her feet sank into the ground as the earth beneath her cracked.
This was the first time Celeste had blocked such a powerful attack. It felt like being hit by a truck or a bulldozer — fast and devastating. She estimated the weight of the strike to be at least a ton. If not for her sanctum control, she would have been crushed. Even her master, Kite, had never struck her with such force.
As the dust settled, the onlookers saw a girl holding her ground against the guild master's Bone Crusher. They were stunned, then erupted into cheers.
"OOOOHHHHHHHHHH! LOOKS LIKE THE GUILDMASTER’S ATTACK HAS BEEN BLOCKED!!!" The crowd went wild.
Celeste, gasping for air but maintaining her composure, shot a sharp glance back at the boys who had fallen to the ground in fear and shock. "What are you doing? Get up and help me! Attack him!" she yelled.
Vincent laughed heartily. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Impressive, little girl. Few have ever blocked my attack head-on. I can count them on one hand. Maybe you’re the fifth or sixth. But now, brace yourself! My next strike will be something you can’t block, and if you try, your body will be crushed!"
The boys, finally snapping out of their daze, stood up as Celeste gave them a quick command. "He’s going to charge again. Throw everything you’ve got at him!"
The boys immediately conjured elemental magic, combining wind and earth spells, while another mage launched a fireball directly at Vincent. The attacks landed, causing a cloud of dust to rise.
But as the dust cleared, Vincent stood there, unfazed, nonchalantly picking his nose. "Is that all you’ve got?" he said with a smirk. "Well, I guess it’s my turn now."
He hefted Bone Crusher and prepared to charge once more.
Celeste realized they were doomed if he landed another blow. In a split second, she focused her sanctum energy, entering the mind of void and slowing time in her perception. She vanished in a blink, leaving a faint yellow glow where she had stood, and reappeared right beneath Vincent. Despite his towering size, Celeste aimed to cut at his legs to bring him down. She executed an "Instant Cut," a Saint Swordsmanship technique, though she reduced its slashing power to avoid seriously injuring him. Her strike shattered part of Vincent's leg armor before she blinked back to her original position.

The entire attack had taken less than a second, and Vincent barely had time to register it. As he prepared to attack again, he noticed the damage to his leg armor. "Hmmm… not bad, little girl. But you’ll pay for this!"
With a loud boom, Vincent launched himself at the group once more.
BOOM! The ground exploded as Bone Crusher struck it, but the boys had anticipated his move and managed to scatter to the sides of the yard.
William, regaining his footing, chanted, "Mother Gaia, grant me the element of earth — Earth Bound!" A massive boulder surged from the ground, pinning Vincent’s foot. At the same time, Andrew and Frank synchronized their chants and swung their swords, creating wind blades that sliced through the air toward Vincent. Bryan followed up with a fire spell. "With the power of heat and the endless flame of your soul — Fire Lord Hell!"
A loud explosion echoed through the yard, and Celeste stood in awe of the diverse elemental spells cast by the boys.
But in the center of the chaos, Vincent remained standing, laughing maniacally. His upper armor was crushed, but his body was untouched. "Is that all you've got? Well, I guess it's time for you to dodge this!" Vincent slammed Bone Crusher into the ground and began chanting a spell. "EARTH RUMBLES!"
The ground beneath them shook violently, causing the boys to lose their balance. Vincent took the opportunity to target them one by one. First, he rushed Bryan and punched him in the stomach, sending him flying. Then he turned to Andrew and Frank, who were still struggling to maintain their footing.
Vincent leaped high into the air, diving straight at them like a cannonball. "EARTH PLUMP!" BOOM! The impact sent both Andrew and Frank flying out of the yard.
The crowd erupted in excitement. "WHOOOOO! HERE WE GOOOOOOO!"
Celeste, managing to stay steady amidst the quakes, matched her movements to the earth’s shaking. William, however, was sitting helplessly on the ground.
Vincent prepared for another charge. “This guy is insane!” Celeste muttered to herself.
Realizing she couldn't block his attack, she decided to intercept it. She relaxed her mind, focused her sanctum, and blinked behind Vincent. With a flurry of quick slashes, she attacked his back, but her strikes barely scratched his thick, steel-like skin.
Vincent chuckled. “A sneaky one, huh? Let me deal with you first!” He swung at Celeste with his massive fists, each punch sending shockwaves through the ground. Celeste narrowly dodged each blow, her body moving gracefully between his attacks. She countered with quick slashes, but each one bounced off his impenetrable body.
"I need more time to charge my attack," Celeste thought. "I need to focus my sanctum."
Amid the chaos, Celeste found a brief opening. As Vincent finished one of his attacks, she blinked onto his gigantic arm and, without hesitation, unleashed another Instant Cut. The quick and deadly slash traveled through the air and sliced across Vincent’s chest. she puts a little bit of sanctum on that attack only, in a dire and split second that she have.
As Vincent pulled his hand from the ground, Celeste lost her balance and twisted her ankle, causing her to fall. “Damn, that’s going to take a while to heal,” she thought. "I can't dodge like this."
Blood dripped to the ground, and Vincent roared with laughter. "HAHAHA! Would you look at that? A newbie finally cut me! After all these years!" He announced it proudly to the crowd, which responded with cheers and applause.
Vincent examined the cut on his chest, licking the blood from his fingers. "I’m excited now!" he said, his grin widening. He slowly walk and grabbed Bone Crusher, pulling it from the ground, which immediately stopped the earthquake.
"Little girl, Celeste, right?" he asked. "Who taught you that swordsmanship? I’ve never seen anything like it!"
Celeste, panting and ignoring his question, focused instead on his next move.
“what the fuck is these guy, he is crazy!!!” celeste whisper as she ready herself.
"Did you hurt your foot? Don’t worry, missy. I promise you won’t feel a thing after my next attack! Bwahahaha!" Vincent laughed.
With both hands on Bone Crusher, Vincent prepared to unleash his ultimate attack. The crowd gasped in anticipation.
“EARTH FIRST PILLAR, RELEASE!” Vincent shouted, his aura condensing into a light brown hue. The ground shook beneath him as he laughed maniacally. “You're all done now, missy!”
Celeste's eyes widened. The sheer power Vincent was gathering felt like a final boss attack from a game.as she remembers one of this situation on her past life playing videogames. Despite her sprained foot, she braced herself, ready to fight until the end.
She closed her eyes, focusing her mind and sanctum. She had one powerful technique that her master had told her to only use in emergencies. This was it.
“You ready to last, little girl? Here I come!” Vincent bellowed.
“EARTH ATLAST!!!”
