Prologue. Kytes Release

Prologue. Kytes Release

Near the village of Azgoth

A nearby farmer was out working in the field when he started to feel the ground start to shift. Without thinking he dropped everything he was doing to go find his wife and take shelter. Earthquakes are a common occurence in the Poy kingdom, due to all the magical essence that interacts here. As soon as he got to his house he new something was wrong, the sheer magnitude of this quake was far bigger than any he ever experienced in his whole lifetime. Grimacing as he tripped over a fallen chair he rushed down to his cellar to find his wife already waiting there for him huddled in a corner. After closing the door he and his wife huddled together to wait it out like they normally do.

After close to 5 minutes of constant shaking it finally ended. After waiting antoher 10 more minutes after that, he finally managed to get enough courage to peak outside at the damage. What he saw truly horrified him, his field that had been growing potatoes was gone, replaced by a seemingly empty void. Looking down he could not see the bottom, but he could feel the fierce coldness that bit at his face. Retreating back into his house he pulled out a coat that he usually only wears in the winter. Looking around the edges of the chasm he found a winding path that lead down.

Following the path down, he created a small ball of light. He did not have enough magical abilities to do combat, but he was able to continously keep this orb up. Lighting up the darkness, he finally found the bottom. When he reached the bottom however, he was utterly flabergasted. When he turned to his left he was looking straight into the eyes of a frozen reptilian. Never before seeing this creature, and thanking god that he did not see this creature when it was alive. It looked like a ball of black muscle that could easily overpower anyone his size. Looking at it again this creature only seemed around 3 meters in length and around 2 meters in height. Noticing that this was just a juvenile made him rejoice again because he could not imagine what this creature would look like as an adult.

Retreating back up the slope hastily he finally reached the top when he heard a loud crack. Utter terror filled his eyes when he slowly turned around and prayed that the noise he hear was not from the ice that beast was in. Sure enoguh when he turned around he saw a paw extend out of the ice and down onto the ground, followed by the rest of the body. The creature glared up at the poor little farmer and blasted out a deafening roar.

Kytes POV

Holy Shit that was long, how long was I in there for?

Stretching out my muscles for once in however many years its been felt amazing. Feeling almost every single bone in my body cracked made me shudder with bliss. Looking up, I managed to spot what I think was a human, just for fun I let out a loud roar that probably scared him half to death.

Yep, he just passed out. Humans and their fraile little bodies.

After so long in the ice Kyte checked out his stats again just to see if anything changed.

Name: Kyte

Race: Nightmare Dragon

Level: 12

Titles: The Last One

HP: 250

MP: 0

Looking at his stats he noticed that he now had a title and he almost instantly knew what it meant. He indeed was the last of his race, he had been suspecting this because they had been targeted in the race war however many years ago it was, but now it was confirmed. Just reading it made his heart throb, everyone of his family all gone just like that. He also noticed that the Nightmare dragons not having mana was true, he had been hoping to be able to use magic, but it was just shot down. Nightmare dragons are physically stronger than any other dragon out there, so to balnce it out they had no mana whatsoever.

Feeling his stomach trying to eats it was out, he determined that it was finally time to get something to eat. He unferled his wings and darted up at the past out human.
