“Okey, here we go,” Benjamin had to give himself a pep talk before he went further in the World of Laminia. “I used to live here. There is nothing to fear.”
A deep roar of a giant dragon pierced through the darkness, inducing in him a sudden shiver.
Still, he trudged on in this spacious eerie world. There was nothing to see in the black sky. Not a single star. Huge metal mountains were scattered on the vast freezing land, resembling sleeping ancient beasts. Streams, originating from unknown sources, entwined with each other and stretched to the invisible distance, exuding an odour of petrol, blood, and piss.
Suddenly, a shining silver snake glided across the sky like a shot, followed by a blur figure emerging from beneath the ground. It was totally black, dozens of limbs emitting magnetic waves and one ruby eye shaking in the middle of its body. It soon spotted Benjamin, and started to charge toward him with the speed of a cheetah.

Benjamin’s heart sank. He was too frightened to move. He had left this place for so long that he forgot how to fight. He dodged the first blow but was too late to avoid the second strike, sending him tumbling to the ground.
“Oh, no,” he thought desperately. “I can’t die like this! I have to deliver the message! Someone, please, help me!”
His prayer got answered almost instantly. A familiar shadow flew above his head and attacked that horrible figure. Only seconds later, the figure was cut in half by a neat sweep. It howled in agony and dissipated into thin air.
In the green light of a distant lighthouse, Benjamin finally saw the brave fighter’s face.
“Robin? It that you?” Benjamin thought his heart skipped a beat at the sight of his old friend. “I miss you so much, Robin! Thank you! Thank you for saving my life! Oh, you don’t know how--”
But Robin turned around, staring sternly at him.
“I don’t know you,” he said coldly. “You are dead to me, Benjamin.”
Benjamin blushed in awkward. “Then why did you save me?”
“I was just doing my job.” Robin turned around, retreating to darkness.
