3. I remember you

Cael wakes up in his bedroom. "My arms can move again."

I am curious what will happen today.

When he takes the breakfast in the inn he heard someone say, "Have you heard what happened tonight? The arena is damaged so much it will require at least six months to repair it. Not only that but the slaves escaped tonight too. The authority is now investigating this incident."

The authority? It's not that they are going to catch me unless I reveal my martial arts.

When Cael finish his breakfast he goes outside searching for Lucia. The only reason he was to find Lucia yesterday is because he can locate his own scent using his nose. He is doing the same trick. He finds Lucia eating with her brother inside a tavern. She is still wearing her hood and his brother is doing the same. 

Cael sits beside them and say  

"What you are doing here? You already find you brother aren't you going to leave this place?"

"What about you?"

"I am going to participate in the tournament. I am not going to leave yet."

"Why did you find me?"

"Repayment of course."

"You want my body?"

I forgot about this already.  "No, Do you know where Neras is?"

"It's really close by my home country"

Neras is one of the hundred elf villages in Kavmer. The villages are build inside the forests of Kavmer. 

"I will you to convy a message to someone for me. If you don't have enough money for the journey I will pay you."

"Cael....  Ten years ago, I saved a boy from the wolves and that boy is you."

"That why you resembled her so much!" 

She smiled and reveals her arm and said, "This is where the wolf has bitten me." 

"Do you know why I beg you for help even I thought you are a stranger? It's because you look similar and when you revealed your name I know it's you."

"I heard your master called you "Cael", he even thanks me and treats my wound."

"He leaves with you after that" 

"So you are the little girl who saved me. I am so sorry for not remembering and use harsh words on you. I was only seven years old and was wandering around the country with my master."

"Destos?" "My father said this place is the far west outside the four countries," said Ves

It's already three weeks and I don't encounter a single monster. I was mostly eating fruits to survive. I was trying to meditate again until I heard a sound and giant white snake appeared in front of me. I was extremely scared at that moment ."

"Giant white snake? Ah, it's a Veron-snake. They are super rare beasts. You are unlucky to encounter one" interrupt Ves.

Cael continued "The white snake wants to choke me, but it's killed by another monster. It's has a white body with black stripes. The creature is more intelligent than the other monsters. His claws cut the snake in two and blood spurted on my mouth. It tastes so bad that I throw up all my food. After killing the white snake, he stared at me for a long time. But then he stopped staring and went away.

After that I try to cultivate my internal energy again and this time, I feel progress. One week later when my master sees me he is shocked.

"You are going to the tests this noon? said Lucia

"Yeah, they won't recognize me so long I don't use the same techniques."

"Can we go with you?"

"Why?"

"I mentioned my parents selling me and my brother off. I can't go back now."

After freeing the slaves, Vince leads them to the mansion where they can live there temporarily. The slaves are all thankful to Vince and whenever he needs something they will offer help.

He went back to the Paladin school to pick up his weapon. He went to the weapon hall and said to the maintainer "Jacques, Are the gauntlets ready?" 

"Oh Vince, you are just on time! Wait here a minute, I bring you the gauntlets."

While waiting, he heard someone calling him. It's a girl about seventeen years old. She is wearing a white uniform and her hair is tied back in a ponytail. She is a close friend of Vince.

"Vince! You are waiting here for your weapon?"

"Hi Ellen, yeah the maintenance is complete."

"Did you heard what happened tonight? I wonder who let the slaves free?" said Ellen while eyeing him suspiciously.

"Hey Hey, don't stare me like that. I have nothing to do with this incident."

"Oh really? But they found some fragments in the arena and examined it. They confirmed 

"SSSHHH, Don't say a word. What do you want from me?"

"I am lying to you, I saw what happened yesterday," said Ellen while smiling

"How come I didn't notice you?"

"I was at the highest floor and you are busy fighting."

"At this moment, Jacques arrives with two white gauntlets. Here you Vince, good luck with your test today."

"Thank you, Jacques" 

"You would have won if you use those gauntlets," whispered Ellen

"It's really difficult to say, I feel he don't use full power either."

'I go to the arena now, you are coming with me?"

"It this a date?" teased Ellen

The arena master walks away.

 Raas stared at his back and smiled.
