As the battle raged on, the sanctum became a battleground of opposing forces, each spell cast echoing with the weight of destiny. The Arch-Wizard's mastery over the arcane arts was evident as he deftly countered the dark sorceries of the assailants, his every incantation a testament to his years of study and practice.
Umbris, fuelled by a fierce determination to protect her mentor and preserve the sanctity of their tower, unleashed torrents of elemental magic, her spells intertwining with the Arch-Wizard's in a mesmerizing display of synergy and power. Together, master and apprentice fought as one, their movements synchronized in a dance of magical prowess.
But even as the Arch-Wizard and Umbris held their ground against the relentless assault, the shadowy assailants proved relentless in their pursuit of darkness. Wave after wave of dark magic crashed against the shimmering barrier of arcane energy, threatening to overwhelm the defenders with sheer force of will.
In the midst of the chaos, a figure emerged from the shadows, her presence shrouded in an aura of otherworldly beauty and dread. Clad in flowing robes of midnight black, Deathpact Angel stepped forward with an air of solemn purpose, her gaze locking onto the Arch-Wizard with an intensity that sent shivers down his spine.
With a voice like the tolling of a funeral bell, Deathpact Angel spoke, her words carrying the weight of fate itself. "Your time has come, Arch-Wizard. The darkness shall consume you, and all shall bow before the reign of the Shadowmaster."
But even as Deathpact Angel spoke her ominous words, a glimmer of defiance flickered in the Arch-Wizard's eyes, his resolve unyielding in the face of impending doom. With a whispered incantation, he summoned forth the full might of his magical prowess, unleashing a devastating wave of pure arcane energy that was focused into a single beam of magical energy concentrated directly towards the Deathpact angel.
As the Arch wizard continued to power up his powerful magical beam, Deathpact Angel made her own preparations. She murmured the ancient words of her people and summoned a protection spell just as the Arch wizard released his attack on the Goddess.
The magical beam was deflected momentarily blinding everyone in the room. As the beam ricocheted off the protection spell and headed straight towards Umbris. As the blinding light cleared from view, the Arch-Wizard slowly rose from the ground. Once he had got a hold of his bearings, he frantically looked around for his young apprentice. At the same time, Gwyndolin had also spotted the young apprentice and slowly stumbled towards her, clenching a dagger. The Arch-wizard saw this and he too stumbled to the young apprentice.

Gwyndolin was now dangerously close to Umbris with the dagger poised to strike. In a burst of magical energy, the Arch-Wizard sent a powerful force that knocked Gwyndolin off balance, causing the dagger to fall from her grasp.
Umbris, relatively unharmed but still unconscious lay by the Arch-Wizard's side. Realizing the gravity of her actions, Gwyndolin attempted to flee. The Arch-wizard, filled with furry, grabbed hold of his necklace and smashed it on the ground. The Deathpact Angel, who had now managed to regain some sort of focus. Looked at the broken necklace and her face filled with dread, realising what the Arch-wizard hand done.
“No…” the Deathpact Angel murmured. The Arch-wizard had smashed an ancient crystal which allowed the dissipation of magic. Now that it was broken, the Arch-Wizard is able to reach his full potential. The other members of the assassin party regained consciousness. “We have failed”, Deathpact Angel said quietly, “We have failed, and the Grand Plan will not be achieved.”
“What are you talking about?” yelled Morfga. “We still have a chance!!”
“No, we don’t you bumbling fools.” Deathpact Angel replied. “The Arch-Wizard has unleashed his full power and dampened my own magic.”
“But you are a Goddess!! Are you not?” yelled Dolgrim.
“Yes, but that crystal was created by the God of all Gods, Ao, to help the Arch-Wizard to control the powers that he had been gifted. Not even a powerful Goddess like me can undo the work of the God of all.” replied the Goddess.
As the final shards of the necklace fell to the floor, a glowing aura surrounded the Arch-wizard. The death pact angel now frozen with fear fell to the ground. The doors in the chamber slammed shut, sealing off any escape for Gwyndolin and the rest of the assassin group. With a voice that resonated with ancient power, the Arch-Wizard spoke words of incantation, his voice echoing with a solemn determination.
"By the light of the arcane, I bind thee, Gwyndolin, to a fate of eternal guardianship. May you forever watch over Umbris, safeguarding her from harm until the end of days."
As the words reverberated through the chamber, a shimmering aura enveloped Gwyndolin, binding her to her new purpose with an unbreakable bond. Tears welled in her eyes as she realized the weight of the burden now placed upon her.
With a final glance at the unconscious form of Umbris, the Arch-Wizard summoned the last vestiges of his strength, channelling the very essence of his being into a powerful spell of teleportation. In a flash of blinding light, Umbris and Gwyndolin vanished from the chamber, whisked away to safety by the Arch-Wizard's selfless sacrifice.
Alone in the chamber, the Arch-Wizard faced down the remaining members of the Tribe of the Unseen, his eyes blazing with righteous fury. With a defiant roar, he unleashed the full extent of his magical might, unleashing a cataclysmic wave of energy that destroyed everything. With a powerful explosion, the once tranquil forest was no more. Instead laid the smell of burnt vegetation.
As the smoke cleared, Gwyndolin got to her feet and looked towards where the once serene tower stood overlooking the land. Nothing. Absolutely nothing remained. The night air filled with nothing by silence.
