A story that a started as a English assessment, I have only done a short prologue and a chapter that I had to rush so it seemed to be complete to a point the chapter shows the ending of what I hope to be the first book, or volume so don't read past the mark area if you don't want to spoil it, I will elaborate more on the detail, to do with the town the people, and the powers of the character, I didn't have space to do so for my assessment though so more than 90 precent of the story has been cut out just tell me if it looks good if so I will go on to develop the story, I will happily take any tips since it is also my first story. the story starts of with a young man living in a trouble some town full of death and corruption, the town is surrounded by a desert no one dares to cross through the desert, as it is said there is nothing out there. this all changes when a young boy stumbles across a journal about the outside world and massive cities beyond his countries walls, towns with vast improvements on their magic, towns without famine or disease. the boy plans to escape with his friends when an incident accurse. The first book will revolve around the MC and the town in the desert, it will also explain the history of the town, it will include a range of conflict between the MC (MC childhood friend) and the people of the town as the two boys grow up in a orphanage learning the arts of magic, and other skill one should not learn. the plan is for the second book to start with the journey to the other cities, in the desert they will be countless issues and dangers that will improve the strength of the MC. A school arc will most likely start most likely in the 3rd book though since a understanding of the world will be needed and a identity will need to be forged in the new world he will journey to across the desert.
