Hello, my dear readers,
And so we reach the conclusion of my first book, The Labyrinth: Lazarus. Thank you all for accompanying me on this journey! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
As you might've guessed from the cliffhanger in the last chapter (sorry about that!), this is just the first volume of the series. For this first volume, I've decided to take a conservative approach, finishing the book just shy of 90k words (a little bigger than the first Harry Potter book). Initially, I had planned for it to be larger; however, after considering everything I wanted to do with the Prelude, I decided it was better to end it at this midpoint rather than create a behemoth of a first volume.
I've learned so much through this process, not only improving as a writer but also raising my expectations for my own work (imposter syndrome is a bit**)-your support has been crucial in this growth. I'll be revising and editing this first volume in the future and will update the revised chapters both here and on my Patreon.
About Volume Two
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
I've already revealed the title of the second volume on my Patreon and completed about 30% of the first draft. The outline is also almost done, with just a few details being worked out in the middle.
As for the release date, I'm not so sure yet.
I would like to finish reviewing the first volume before releasing the second, but sometimes, The Labyrinth can be overwhelming, even for me. I usually play around with a couple of light-hearted fun projects while writing The Labyrinth, and one of those is shaping up pretty well. There's a chance I might release that one before The Labyrinth's second volume-we'll see. I grew up on traditional fantasy, so I understand how frustrating (and exciting) it can be to wait a year for a new book. I want to spare you from that as much as possible, as long as I don't have to sacrifice my mental health or writing quality for it.
Anyway, the most important lesson I've learned is to have a good backlog. My plan for whatever my next release is is to have at least 70% to 80% of the total chapters ready before starting publication.
If you'd like to know more about what I'm working on and how it's shaping up, please pass on my Patreon. I have a pinned post tracking all the relevant information about the next releases. (Completely free)
Thank you again for your support, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
