The three people stopped arguin upon Jack arrival. The Gards surrounding him made so much noise walking in their armour they could be heard through the entire village.
The boy Cursed under his breath, if they had comme more silently perhaps they would have been able to hear the rest of the conversation.
His lord lord was watching him with a stern face. ''My boy get inside, it seems we have to talk''
The blond guy nodded to the guards surrounding him, once he enterred the big mansion he heard a loud sight coming from the bearded man. ''well, now that your beloved disciple his here maybe you will give me a chance to explain myself?
''As you wish, both of you get inside. you gards can rest their mount in the stable. I prefer if the conversation remain private''.

POV bearded guy.
The situation was already tense as it was, but the king insisted that his elder son come with me. Honestly most of the time the boy was pretty level headed, but a soon as his autority was chalenged, he could became the biggest moron in history.
Of course the champion of the kingdom would refuse to hand over his disciple, and if that wasn't sufficient enough to attract his ire, the royal idiot trew a bag full of coin a his feet like he was a peasant. One must know the only reason the one who was once called ''the unshakable'' was living in this dump was because he wanted nothing to do with the intrigues of the court. I would bet my right arm he has more money than any prince of this kingdom.

Thankfully the squire is here now, perhaps he could be convinced to come with us. Upon watching him I could notice he was well built, probably smart too given the twinkle I could see in his eyes. However, i could sence the boy wasn't awakened yet. luckily we came on time.

''Hello young man my name is Theophilius Graystone, envoy of the king, I also happen to be the royal court mage. Standing beside me is Leonard Griffin the first, crown prince of this kingdom. We are here to escort you to see the king''
Confusion could be seen on Jack's face. Two important people to bring a nobody like him in front of the King? From what he learned earlier, his master was some sort of hero that could probrably inspire respect even in the empire. Still it made no sense, his master did not seems to agree to wat was happening and it as more than likely that those people did not have the best intention in mind for him.
''The boy will stay here as long as you both don't explain me why you came here unannounced, trying to take my squire to the capital to see the king one week away from his involvement in the quest''
Shock could be seen on the face of everyone. One must know that practically no one took the quest anymore. Not only was it dangerous to take part, most people would even be denied their right to entry. Originaly every knight had to take the quest, but as time passed, most people choose the easy way, their reason to become knight no longer pure, tinted by political aim or greed for power. No one took the quest anymore and those who tried to do so were refused entry because they were not deemed worthy. The last two known people to have made it alive were the famous unshakable standing in the room and the famous silver thorn, a general of the Acacia empire.
Lots of legends were circulating about it but not much was known. Only those who partook in it knew more. But none of them talked about it.
"let's enter then, we have much to discus" said the envoy of the king.
