"PEEP, PEEP!", I wake up groggily at the sound of my alarm. " Is it already 10 pm? My boss is such a pain in the ass!" I exclaim to no one. " I work 6 days a fucking week, and this is how they treat me.", I blurt out.
I lie in my bed staring at the ceiling and window, reasoning to not get up, but knowing I have work. "Things we students do for money.", I mumble. After a few minutes of persuading myself, I got up, and began searching for a clean uniform. "Oh for fuck's sake, did I forget to clean my uniform!", I curse.
I rush around my room, rummaging drawers and closets, I even scavenged piles of dirty clothes left by me. I eventually found one " Oh god, this one smells like fucking FISH!", I curse again. I closely examine the uniform, seeing stains of different foods. "I hope my boss isn't at the gas station" I mumble.
After a few moments of hesitation, I put on the smelly shirt. "I'll make sure to spray a lot of deodorant." I tell myself. While walking to the bathroom, I pass my small living room, where I spot my badge. I quickly grabbed it and put it on.
I arrive at my bathroom with a sigh of relief. "Let's hope I can fix things here.", I mumbled. I go to the hand basin, and look at the mirror. "Oh god... I-I am fucking filthy!", I curse again. I notice the smell coming from my shirt, and mumble "Nothing that deodorant can't stop.", I pull one of the drawers from underneath the basin, and rummage through the stuff , until I find my life savior.
I quickly spray the deodorant over my body, especially my armpits. I sprayed for a while, until I was satisfied with my smell. I looked at my mirror, and was disgusted at my hair. "Why is hair always my enemy!", I complained to myself, whilst taking a comb from the drawer. I combed my hair into something that barely resembled a bush back long. "Eh... It's better than what I had before." I thought to myself.
After making myself alright to see , I dashed to the kitchen to quickly get a snack from my fridge, which was a ham n' cheese sandwich. "Let's hope my stomach isn't very demanding.", I chuckle. I devour it in mere seconds, due to it being the only meal I have eaten in 12 hours or less
After having my hunger satisfied ,I start going towards my front door, stopping right before to take my necessities. Right beside the door were a drawer and a rack. I take the gas station keys and my own keys from the drawer and put on my coat from the rack.
I open the front door, and I become welcomed by a cold breeze. It's always this cold in winter, especially up north here.
I begin my journey to work, by walking. I did not own a car, nor a driving license. As I walked in the alleys and streets, I only heard cars and cricket noises. It's an old normal night, nothing much to worry about.
Most of the windows are darkened, with some lighted curtains. The further I go, the urbanization of this moderately-sized town becomes lacking, as I begin to enter rural areas.
I turn on my flashlight, as it's quite difficult to see. I saw a strange figure in the darkness while walking on this path, it was tall and bipedal. I couldn't see much of its appearance, because I had nothing to use as a light source, that's why I now normally carry one with me.
A couple of minutes pass, and I finally see the gas station lights. The lights become clearer, as I approach the gas station. I begin to see the letters on the sign " J.J's GAS", which I have seen many times. When I arrive at the gas station, I see one car parked, it's probably my co-worker's.
I go towards the automatic doors and hear a ring. This time it was my co-worker Jen, she's new to the job. Jen, after hearing the ring, turns to look at me. Her face full of confusion and disgust, probably from the heavy smell of deodorant, and stains of my uniform

"What the fuck happened to you? Mind my language." She asked me. In which I replied "My tired ass was too lazy to clean one of my sets of the uniform today.", she looks at me, and says "The usual thing for us students."
She smiles at me awkwardly, and so do I. I asked her "Anyways, how was the shift? ", Jen replies " Fine, nothing bad really happens in these times right?", I nod to her statement. Jen later says," Anyways, it's time for me to go, have a good night!"," You too!", I reply.
As she packs up her stuff to leave, I go to the staff room and check myself in, hearing the unusual sound of "CHEZING." , after checking in, I went back to the counter and see that Jen had already left. I sit idly, as I was not given any extra work to do.
A few minutes pass and nothing happens. " God I hate night shifts, they're always so boring.", I checked my phone to kill some time, seeing if I had gotten any notifications. A brief minute passed by, which was when I stopped using my phone. I was thinking about the strange creature I had encountered that fateful night.
It wasn't really an encounter, more like a discovery. I begin to wonder what it was, and how it looks. I begin to have thoughts about monsters that great writers have written, mythology, or just creations of the Internet ( equal to those of mythology or literature.).
I recall once reading about a sort of fictitious organization from the internet, which captured anomalies that defied physics, were aliens or were just too dangerous to be out. All the anomalies were written in a file format, which explained things on how to contain the anomaly, its appearance, history, and entries about it. There were thousands of anomalies to read about, as anyone could add anything to it ( As long it seemed appropriate.).
I quickly stop thinking about it, as I suddenly hear a ring, I ready my posture, and see that the customer is a hooded figure, which strikes my heart with fear. I studied the customer more closely , and realized he had stains and moth holes in his coat. "Poor man.", I thougt. The customer seemed to be very mysterious, as almost all of his skin was covered, except with the opened area of the hood.
The customer casually went around the aisles to inspect products. A few minutes passed, and I asked him loudly, " Sir, do you need help in finding things?"The hooded person ignores me, so I presume he does not need help.
After a few minutes of inspecting, the person finally picks up some product and begins to walk towards the counter I was in. He places a drink on the counter, so I check the price of the product. Which were 1 dollar and 49 cents. I tell the customer " It'll be 1.49, will it be cash or card?", for a few seconds both of us stare at each other awkwardly, until he breaks the silence, and says " Goodnight.", and punches me to unconsciousness.
I fluttered my eyes wildly to my room, relieved that it was all a dream. I immediately sit up, looking around me. After I thought my room was safe, I looked at my real alarm and saw I had 30 minutes more until 10 pm. Alarmed and anxious from my dream, I decided to get out of bed. I leave my warm bed, and turn on the lights of my room. I stood there for a couple of minutes, because of my dream.
After manning up, I decided to get coffee, so I started walking to my kitchen. Turning on all the lights of the rooms I pass, sometimes I'd slip, and make some random objects fall, until I reach the kitchen. I saw my kettle on the far end of the counter, which prompted me to go there. I slowly begin walking there, at the same time making my hands tap the counter.
As I reach the far end, I grab the kettle and fill it up with water from the sink right beside its original place. It takes a few, but long seconds for it to fill up. After the kettle was filled to my liking, I started to heat the kettle.
"God...I'm so fucking hungry.", I cursed like it was casual. I walk towards the fridge, to see what food will be in my stomach. I open the fridge and take leftovers from my lunch. I put the leftovers on a plate, and began to heat them using a microwave. I stand right before the microwave, looking at the plate being turned.
Minutes become seconds, it was only when the dish was ready, and I heard the noise of "BEEP...BEEP!", I snapped out of my daze. I realized the kettle had already heated the water, so I took a cup, poured water into it, and put crushed coffee grounds into it. I take a spoon from one of the closets and mix the water and powder together.
I take the hot cup of coffee, and try to drink it slowly. However, my tongue would sting whilst drinking, to my distaste, but I didn't care. I looked around me and saw a figure. I was shocked, scared, and dumbfounded. As how normal people would react, but I realized something "Damn it, I forgot to take my fucking schizophrenic pills!", I blurted out, to which the figure responded with silence.
I sighed and began walking to my bathroom. I arrived at my bathroom, went to the hand basin, and took a cup. I filled the cup I had grasped and took a pill from one of the medical containers. I tossed the pill into my mouth and drank the cup.
I looked behind me and saw a man in my bathtub. This time I could clearly see the man, he had darkish brown hair, tired eyes, a neutral face, and pale skin. I told to him in a proud way "You'll be going soon.", the man's lips formed into a smile, and he replied. "I was real firstly."' Upon this realization, my face truly froze in complete shock. The last thing I heard was "Night-Night."
