The Joviuthun a near god-like race of mechanical beings who have been around longer than this universe has been alive; flourishing within the vicinity of primordial and elder black holes for several aeons inhabiting these stellar remnants and using them for many purposes such as energy sources,transmutation devices, living space, one-way time machines to fast forward into the future, stasis field prisons, antimatter factories and weapons.

                 In the Joviuthun’s home reality they were once humans who never achieved faster-than-light travel or communication and were restricted to touching the speed of light but never actually reaching or surpassing it. Interstellar colonies were more far apart than the ancient nations and kingdoms of Earth were before the advent of planes,trains and automobiles making them essentially entirely different civilisations separated from their homeworld and from each other by lightyears instead of miles.As man spread throughout the galaxy over millions and billions of years they were split up into countless subspecies due to divergent evolution,isolated races with a common ancestor unable to be united with each other travelling the milky way in ultrarelativistic sleeper ships to new lands becoming more spread out and disconnected. Some human descendants went extinct in self-destruction,some degraded back into animals,some went technologically backwards and some died to the whims of nature on their native worlds but there were those who prospered and eventually there was those who decided that to stay as one they will not send pieces of their own civilisation to seed the stars but they will carry the whole race through the void of space so that they will never again be disunited.Vast mega-engineering projects were engaged to build stellar engines to make star systems mobile and for some lower advanced subspecies they turned their home planets into interstellar arks to escape beyond their mortal suns and orbit around any they please.These races thought ahead in megannia(1 megannium=1 million years)and made their home systems or worlds into ever moving nomadic starships dropping off fragments of population onto any suitable system passed by as a means of seeding them and growing more mobilised colonies.The ultimate goal was to break free of the home milky way and become truly intergalactic coursing through the in-between space that separated clusters of stars seeding any rogue system encountered to make more civilisations on the move.As the universe aged and stars in the night sky dimmed out one by one longer-lived suns were sought out making red dwarves,k-type stars and white dwarves top priority as new homes to settle around,mass evacuations were set up to escape dying suns for those who mobilised solar systems while those who had nomadic planetships needn't worry of running from stellar explosions and red giant phases as they were always on the move.

                      After the Coalescing an event where the Local Group merged into a single galaxy known as Hedonnia more human colonies were set around red dwarfs,white dwarves and brown dwarves and man slowly returned to being stationary once more leaving behind the days of mobile solar systems and nomadic worlds in favor of huddling within the vicinity of their last sources of light and warmth in the universe.Stellar engines were reassembled into stellar-lifting dyson swarms capturing the energy and mass of these stars and matter stripped from gas giants were fed in to make them burn longer while brown dwarves were home to colossal fusion torchlights suspended in their high-gravity atmospheres through firing a dense concentrated beam of superheated plasma as active thrust from both sides to maintain a balance,these fusion candles consumed the sky to produce immense outputs of energy via burning lithium,deuterium and vanilla hydrogen providing light and warmth to orbiting worlds which were once planetships that travelled amongst the stars for millions of generations now they’ve become idle and their engines are cold.

                    All stars have an expiry date and white dwarves were no exception even though they were considered the corpses of stars.The red dwarves had long flared up quietly into blue dwarves and peacefully had their last gasp before becoming white dwarves which now dominated the dark dying cosmos with black holes and neutron stars and their time was closing too.The remnants of humanity had discovered and met up with intelligent extraterrestrial civilisations who too were huddling around these dim stellar objects,countless died eons ago but many managed to hold through the test of times.In these times of scarcity and darkness the alien races had no hostile intentions and were more focused on their survival so they shared humanity’s space giving in aid in turn for living space while man did the same as there was no use fighting for resources and territory it was more beneficial for all to simply take your share of space and be mindful to not disrespect neighbours.The tiny white suns that were the source and great attractor of life soon faded out one by one cooling down into ultracold black dwarves that were almost indistinguishable from the inky void of space causing more and more refugee civilisations to swarm around the ever dwindling numbers of remaining systems sparking tension between the different alien races and the subspecies of man as resources and space grows thinner.Numerous alien species turned to residing in virtual worlds ran by Matriokasha brains while others resorted to disassembling entire planets,moons,asteroids and comets and constructing megastructures like Global Cassuses,continent-sized Mckendree cylinders,concentric ring habitats of planetary scale,stanford toruses scaled up to be as large as moons and Matrioshka shellworlds some civs even went so far and built countless topopoli and an alderson disk.As time passed the struggle for living area flipped from a spark into an ignition and a war was started, a fight of terrifying scale known as the EndTime.

                          These same races who lived together sharing space and taking their share as their own territory to do as please were now intruding each other’s real estate and cannibalising each other for raw materials and energy to sustain themselves.It was a perilous time when the weak was torn apart then swallowed alive by the strong who made sure there weren’t any leftovers from the meal for scavengers to pick up,enemy habitats,ships and other structures were reduced to their constituent materials while energy sources were stolen away all this to feed the rising demands of a constantly growing advanced civilisation.Billions and perhaps even trillions of living beings were slaughtering and raiding each other like human barbarians,in fact,speaking of human the many subgroups of evolved mankind refused to accept that they had any connection with each other despite being linked through a common ancestor creating an environment fit for racial conflicts and in-fighting henceforth preventing any union from taking place.A civilisation in a post-stellar universe would hoard every resource that it got its hands on making full use of it while being as efficient as possible so as to create as little waste as it can with any waste produced being recycled endlessly.

                          Efficiency was key in a Degenerate Era society and all energy or matter is conserved in a self-sustainable manner so wasting and greed was seen as an act of foolishness punished by exile.Not every species in the dying galaxy partaken in the EndTime as there were the digital races who lived in virtual realities on matrioshka brains,these ‘’Virchailects” as the remnants of humanity called them had been aware of the soon coming end to the incredibly long lifespans of the physical stars powering their stellar-scale mega computers so they built arks which served as massive hard drives to transfer these virtual beings to newly-fabricated dyson constructs built by Von Neumann construction fleets sparking a nomadic life where when the end of a white dwarf was at a close it was time to pack up and migrate to another.Other than the Virchailects there were the race known as the “Travellers” who were post-biological molluscoid/athropoid beings heavily augmented with cybernetics to live in extreme environments surviving on nothing more than energy for sustenance,they were immortal and resilient as well as possessing unsurmountable knowledge from collecting data throughout almost the entirety of the history of the universe.Humanity’s remnants viewed the Virchailects and Travellers in awe as they were seen by most as perfect beings who never aged nor die nor suffered from illness while the Travellers had great stores of information hidden away on their worlds.These two civilizations not only lived around crammed white dwarf systems but also around the more common but more extreme black holes and neutron stars with the Virchailects altering their subjective time so that to them stars out in the cosmos live and die like ticks on a clock while the rest of the universe views them operating at an extremely sluggish rate and their supercomputing structures functioned at maximum efficiency on a trickle of Hawking radiation flowing from supermassive black holes.

            By the time the EndTime had finished run its course 90% of surviving species died off and all that remained were a scatter of clades of interstellar nomads and a semi-reunited overevolved humanity who agreed it was better days when they were a collection of different territories sharing the same space working with one another like a single family.When the last white dwarf shined it’s last light and went dark,black holes were now king becoming new homes for the last surviving forms of intelligent life who were by now incredibly advanced 

after eons upon eons of development but the desire for aggressive expansion died out with the stars replaced with a sense of self-preservation.The Virchailects were flourishing mega civilisations who viewed the physical universe flying by like a fast-motion film and their hyperefficient supercomputers ran on so little energy that a double AA battery of ancient Earth(whose fate is unknown)was like a dyson sphere for them,the Travellers were living on artificial surfaces surrounding neutron stars at a distance where the gravitational forces are weak enough so the inhabited layer won't be torn apart.

            Man decided to learn from the Travellers in order to lengthen their own existence and made a peaceful pact with the race exploiting their technology specifically the ones that helped to make a civilisation last longer in a dark decaying universe,it was then humanity learned of the plans for residing inside supermassive black holes continually feeding them matter for as long as there’s matter to feed in while redirecting hawking radiation back into them and harnessing energy via tapping it’s magnetic and gravitational fields,rotational energy and the thermal energy of the accretion disk through all possible means.This would allow an extension to the lifespan of these black holes for as long as there’s matter being fed and the hawking radiation is being brought back into the stellar remnants but the universe doesn't have endless supplies of matter so eventually feed material will deplete but not for an unfathomable length of time as Hedonnia ,a supercluster-sized galaxy, is extraordinarily dense and rich in the cold corpses of stars and rogue planetary masses floating throughout empty black space.For trillions upon trillions of centuries cities inhabited by man and traveller alike were submerged beyond the boundaries of space-time separating the interior of a black hole from what used to be a grand cosmic display of wonders but now the play had ended and the curtains were being drawn.

              Humanity was born on Earth,they grew up from an unaware infant stage of development to becoming an intergalactic master race splintered across the stars and diversified into innumerable subhuman species who in turn either collapsed or grew into mobile civilisations moving independent of the galaxy seeding passerby systems to spawn more nomadic colonies which in turn carried on the legacy.When the number of sunlike stars grew less and less the children of man moved to longer-lived pastures to set up shop then as these stars too winked out life flourished around these corpses as humankind mingled with other races seeking refuge in a time where space grows darker and colder by the day.As the white dwarves too cooled out like burnt matches becoming useless black dwarves these coalitions of countless civilisations of different technological levels and evolutionary paths were in a state of constant migration which man participated even though they had long settled down from the days of perpetual travel through space.Scarcity of raw matter and energy needed to sustain life and society became an increasingly serious issue causing heated conflicts between different species including amongst the subgroups of man leading to the longest possible war ever known and one that claimed an incomprehensible number of lives whilst destroying all existing unions and in the end it didn't even matter as resources were still diminishing.The sons and daughters of man decided to work out their issues and forget their differences once again functioning as a single race.

                  Now this was the last time they would be in the outside universe ever again as they were bound within the gravitational confines of their new residences and without any method of faster-than-light travel the supermassive black holes they now called their homes were also their inescapable prisons.Due to the massive time differential the observable universe outside was viewed to be moving in fast forward aging rapidly,it was like looking at a wilting flower the cosmic beauty and wonder that led many to gaze upon it and inspired them to go out and see what’s out there it was now gone for there now lied a cold grave.Black holes seemed eternal yet as seen before everything has an end,while the quantities of feeder mass out in the cosmos was near-limitless it was NEAR limitless but not truly and the robotic ships carrying this mass to feed the singularities brought less over time.Less mass meant maintaining the rotational energy of a black hole became harder and harder and the accretion disk was growing smaller as the ring of superheated gases and plasma fell in with the supply dwindling,more rotational energy was being harnessed than added slowing the stellar object’s momentum eventually making it stationary and the ergosphere disappeared.The last method available for tapping power from a black hole was to harvest the hawking radiation which was increasing rapidly because harnessing such a source of energy decreases the mass of the supermassive black hole,the power output started out as a trickle but as the stellar corpse’s mass shrunk the radiation emissions grew in intensity.

             As uncountable years pass by in moments the end was near and the black holes that seemed to live almost forever were going to die off in a grand display lighting up the universe one last time.The Travellers had already planned ahead and after such a long existence eking out in the remains of the cosmos and flourishing they came together,pierced through the event horizon using an unknown means and once outside the entire civilisation mysteriously vanished altogether they possibly phased out of this reality through unknown little-understood technology escaping to another universe.Meanwhile the Virchailects fate were not known but it’s been rumored that they artificially sped up the quantum tunneling process occurring within the cooled down remnants of neutron stars and white dwarves to prematurely create iron stars and imploded them into neutron stars and fresh black holes to run their Matrioshka brains,wherever this digital civilisation might be it was just them and the dying descendants of humanity stubbornly refusing to let entropy consume them.

                Then it happened...rebirth.So much time gone by that random fluctuations in the plane of reality stirred in a new inflationary event resulting in a Big Bang which ushered in a new age in a newborn cosmos.
