In the kingdom of Redfall in an unnamed village a baby is left on the doorstep of a temple run by a woman called by meny Mama Jamie.As the baby starts to cry Mama Jamie picks him up and said to him "Don't cry my child it seems you were left here out of need not a lack of love."as she found a letter. The letter explained that his name is Vic, the wood box under him is his mother's last gift to him, and apologizing for the poor timing.Normally after the winter solstice even just one more mouth to feed could mean starving for all,but Jamie's brother the mayor made certain she has more than enough to feed all the children of the temple and then some.Mayor Jason Hillfall loves his family and, even in winter would visit with food,has said often "loyalty is king among virtues'' and brings his family to the temple.Jason's daughter Jane,born over the winter, became fast friends with Vic over the winter as the rest of winter passed swiftly and as the new year of four hundred more days came.
Over the next thirteen years visitors to the village are few but all remark on Vic's snow white hair and deep blue eyes.In this time only three nobles two of which were Jone and Markos Rattlington who only came because of a deal with mayor Jason.The deal was that if Jane could not get past the first level of mana cultivation, called body conditioning, she would marry Markos at eighteen.Thanks to this deal Markos Rattlington would visit more often and soon became jealous of Vic's friendship with Jane. Being known as the ‘Bastard's Whor Son’ Markos would use lackeys to gang up on Vic but the town protects its own.Vic could expect help from anyone when Markos's lackeys would come for a fight.
This is how Vic became friends with Andy the smith's son and Vic always has his two pups Red and Little T but when it comes to outsiders even the old town drunk would help.Andy used to be a bully to the kids of the temple but after one good fight they became friends.Red is a wolf cub that wandered into town,almost too smart for a pup,and Little T the runt of his liter named after the scar on his head,known to be more tough than smart, but both follow Vic everywhere.
On Vic's tenth birthday a dream came to him. In this dream Vic sits across from a woman who looks like a grown up Vic if he were a black haired woman.After some time she spoke ,"My son I am sorry I left you but you would be killed otherwise as you weren't born under the red moon like most accursed but the blue moon meaning you are destined to be king,", and explain what accursed are and the prophecy of the current blue moon.The current king of the accursed doesn't wish to step down from the throne and so wishes to kill all born under the blue moon.The dream world began to rumble and the woman said "Oh it seems your waking up but before you do" a glow appeared around Vic's neck then vanished leaving a necklace.
In the real world a necklace appeared around Vic's neck and his and his pups ' breathing adjusted and mana cultivation began.when Vic woke up he felt a warmth pleasant all over his body.The warmth could fight the bite of the cold but only just.

Vic showed his friends Jane and Andy in the woods which started their cultivation by adjusting their breathing and starting mana flow.Over the next three years they learned that the warmth is called mana,or the energy of will and life,and it can be used to help recover from fatigue and injury.The mana would only take a small push to be pulled into the exhausted body of a tired kid and even made them stronger.Soon Vic noticed his eyes saw more ,like the beats of a hummingbird's wings, but the other two saw less improvement.Andy and Vic would use the chorus of Andy's father ,the town smith, to train and used the winter cold to find the parts of the body that haven't had mana pushed into. Jane would often just spar with the two after they were good and tired from the day's chores and then play with the pups till nightfall. Speaking of the pups Little Red would hunt for most of the year and Little T would often follow,and would often get bigger pray when he did catch anything at the cost of a few injuries.
Three years passed swiftly and Markos Rattlington only got to be more of a pest becoming a stalker to Jane who would just beat or out run him.Vic would do the same for the lackeys sent after him with his now much bigger pups.Red now stands at two feet tall and T was just as tall but much wider.Andy is now as tall as his father at five feet tall and with two large hands but a still childish face.All three had grow to the point where they have the strength of a grown man or even more.Markos even asked "how is a peasant like you this strong" as he was being beaten by Vic Andy said "He's trained in the art of ass kicking"and he was not lying.On the same day Vic's necklace appeared a large book of fighting techniques he and his friends used it to train in how to fight.This book has a technique for earth, air, water, fire, metal,light,and lightning Jane trained in water and wind, Andy in earth and metal, and Vic trained in all of them just for hand to hand.Jane preferably would train with Vic and often even spending time with him for no other reason than to be with him.
On the day of Vic's thirteenth birthday he heard "restrictions released" and the knowledge on how to cultivate and an ability called dragon's gluttony ,which would speed up mana collection and refinement at the cost of massive amounts of pain, found its way into his mind.Vic felt that this was just a little bit of the knowledge that was in the amulet and ran to get his friends to show them.Later in the edge of the forest Vic, Jane, Andy, and the pups gather around and Jane asked "so we just touch the stone," and Vic's response was a nod and he said "just watch," and put it on top of T's head and after a short time he shook his head and his mana flow changed. They all touched the stone in the necklace, the pups Red and T got the Bloody and Bull Hound art respectively, Jane got the Grand Luan Fragment, and Andy got the Grand War Golem art and each got skills to go with the arts.
When Vic got home he saw Mama Jamie was packing a bag and Vic asked "What you packing for Mama Jamie," and she told him "it's for the coming of age trip," Vic asked "where to," Mama Jamie sighs "the capital."
