It did not take long at all for the attending maid, a nice lady named Yiva, to get Alanna a uniform. Apparently she had been assigned to the maids, as being Lady Liriel’s assistant didn’t really fit well into the other categories.
Her hair had been done up in a bun, which she didn’t like, as she felt it made her take after Headmistress Sonya, but she didn’t voice her objections. She had been given a long black dress with a white apron, not quite reaching her ankles so there was no risk of it dragging along the floor. Her shoes were comfortable and durable flats made of tough leather. She wore short white gloves to avoid contaminating any surface she cleaned with skin grease.
In short, she looked like a perfectly professional maid. Yiva had already excused herself, satisfied with her work, but Alanna couldn’t help but admire herself in her bedroom’s mirror. Knowing she had a respectable job working for the Duke’s family made her want to cry with joy, but she kept herself together.
Alistar reappeared in her doorway. She gladly greeted him, holding her dress out to the side with both hands and doing her best attempt at a curtsy. “Does it look good, sir?”
“Yes, quite,” Alistar responded nonchalantly. He led her out of the servant’s dorms and into the manor. It was much quieter here. Occasionally a servant would pass, but it was clear it was not their space. It was the space of the Singor family, and they clearly did not hesitate to showcase their wealth. They passed through a dining hall where porcelain plates and true silverware were being laid out in preparation for dinner. An ancient clock ticked away in the main hall, its intricate woodwork and exposed brass gears giving the impression that a clock maker had spent their entire lives producing that one piece. Every carpet and tapestry was embroidered with imagery, some clearly showing elves in what Alanna presumed to be the history of the Singor family, or perhaps the city’s history, while others showcased images of distant lands or monsters being slain.
“Allow me to explain your duties,” Alistar began, continuing to guide her to their destination as he spoke. “You are to clean Lady Liriel’s room and study, collect and do her laundry, and bring her meals thrice per day. As well as…” He paused, stopping in his tracks. Alanna’s sensitive hearing again picked up on a change in his breathing. She was sure she detected aggravation, as before, but unlike with anyone else she’s ever met, she could not see any change in his body or expression. His shoulders and back were straight, hands non-threateningly behind his back, and his face was set in a determined yet relaxed expression. When the moment passed his breathing returned to normal, and he continued.
“You are to do whatever she asks of you. That is your duty as her assistant. Understood?”
Alanna disregarded her train of thought and nodded quickly. “Yes sir.”
“And whatever she asks of you will be considered the business of the Singor family and no one else. Do I make myself clear?”
She nodded again. There was a nagging suspicion growing in the back of her mind, however. What could I be possibly asked to do that would go so far as to be a secret? She wondered.
“Good,” Alistar stated curtly. The two of them soon arrived on the upper floor. Alistar knocked on one of the doors, and from within came the sing-song voice of Lady Liriel.
“Come iiin!”
Alistar opened the door to reveal the bedroom of a princess. A massive canopy bed dominated the room, the canopy itself artistically rendered in the shape of fluffy white clouds while the frame of the bed was carved in the shape of vines and tree branches, giving the impression of sleeping in the forest under the sky. Lady Liriel lay on the bed, apparently having been reading a book while waiting. She had changed clothes, now wearing a less flashy but much more comfortable-looking green-and-white dress clearly meant to be worn indoors, and was still wearing the socks from her previous outfit.
“You two are late!” she said as she jumped off the bed and hurried towards them.
“I told you we’d be here in thirty minutes, which was almost 29 minutes ago. If anything, we are early,” Alistar replied bluntly, having apparently taken at least some degree of offense to being called ‘late’.
“Well, I got bored. That means you weren’t fast enough,” Lady Liriel said. “Now move and let me see the new girl!”
Alistar stepped aside, Lady Liriel smiling widely in excitement, only for the smile to suddenly drop when she saw Alanna, whose heart froze.
“Alistar?” Lady Liriel asked with no small amount of disappointment in her voice.
“Yes, Lady Liriel?” Alistar responded. If he knew what the problem was, he gave no impression that he did.
“Where is her actual uniform? The one I told you to make her wear?” Liriel asked, her voice raising in volume, now genuinely upset.
Alistar closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again. “Miss Liriel…”
“Alistar, so help me by Sylvarra-”
“I must again urge you-”
“If I tell you to do something it’s because I want you to do it!”
“Not to go through with this-”
“You don’t work here to act on your urges!” Liriel yelled at Alistar, who accepted his admonishment like a rock in a storm. “Get her in the uniform that I bought for her or I’m going straight to daddy and tell him you’re refusing to do your job! Again!”
Again, Alanna heard that faint sigh coming from Alistar.
“Right away, Lady Liriel.”
Alistar turned and gently grabbed the confused Alanna by the shoulder, turning her around and leading her back to the dorms.
“Did I do something wrong?” she asked nervously once they were out of earshot of Lady Liriel.
“No,” Alistar responded without further explanation. His steps were a lot faster this time around and Alanna struggled to keep up. He led her directly to Yiva, who was busy doing laundry.
“Is something the matter?” she asked Alistar.
“Her Ladyship insisted on… The Thing.”
Yiva looked shocked. “By Sylvarra, you can’t be serious.”
“I don’t joke about Her Ladyship’s requests,” Alistar stated bluntly.
She looked briefly at Alanna, shaking her head. “I’ll get it for you. Just wait in your room. I’ll get some of the other maids to help get it fitted.”
Alanna’s concern only grew. It had grown a lot worse the next time she looked in the mirror.

Her new outfit, which had taken the maids quite some time to adjust to her specific proportions, defied belief. She now wore an embroidered headpiece shaped like a tiara with a heart in the center. The top, rather than a plain black dress with a white apron, black and white were overlaid to create layers that looked very cute, but definitely did not fit the role of an actual apron. Her skirt barely reached her thighs, which had made her pull on the edges a few times to try and get it to cover, well, more, but the fabric was intentionally just long enough to cover one’s modesty and nothing more. She now wore white, elbow-length gloves and thin, white thigh-highs whose edge was just barely hidden beneath her skirt. Both had a long lace woven criss-cross across their lengths. Her new underwear, apparently part of the outfit, were snow white, each just a strip of silk large enough to cover her naughty bits, but no more.
Everything was edged with frills, made of luxuriously expensive silk, and while some parts felt like it didn’t cover nearly enough of her skin, the rest felt like it just made her look sexier by its presence than its absence would have accomplished. To say she felt supremely uncomfortable was an understatement.
The worst, however, were her new shoes. Lacquered black, they sported heels, something which she had no previous experience. Yiva had given her some pointers on how not to break her legs wearing those, but she still felt like a newborn foal, fighting every step to maintain her balance. This uniform isn’t just impractical, it’s straight up dangerous to wear, she concluded.
When Alistar returned she awkwardly greeted him at the door again.
“Are you sure Lady Liriel wanted me to wear… This?” she asked tentatively.
“Lady Liriel was very specific,” Alistar responded. “Come along, and try not to fall.”
The walk back to Liriel’s room, only a short one before, was pure agony this time. She felt like she was walking a tightrope, especially with all the valuable stuff in this manor. When they passed a few exotic decorative blades hanging from the wall she imagined tipping forward and smashing her face into the wall, only for the blades to be knocked free and falling down on her, and the idea nearly made her actually fall.
When they finally got back to Liriel’s room she was hoping this would all turn out to be some mistake and she could go back to the ordinary maid’s outfit. However, Liriel opened the door before Alistar could even knock, apparently having grown impatient. Her expression immediately lit up when she saw Alanna.
“By Sylvarra, you look amazing! Here, stand in front of the mirror!”
She grabbed Alanna’s hand and pulled her into her room, Alistar standing by passively. She put Alanna in front of a silver standing mirror and looked her up and down, nodding her head approvingly.
“Yes, this works just fine,” Liriel stated, grinning wickedly. “Do a little spin for me, won’t you?”
Alanna’s eyes went wide. Standing and walking were hard enough. However, she mustered her courage, unwilling to disappoint her new boss.
“Okay…” she said, trying her best to find her center of gravity and not let it spin out of control. “Here I go.”
She threw her left leg up and to the right, attempting to use the momentum to spin on her other foot. It worked, briefly, but when she tried to put her other foot back down and regain her balance she fell short, stepping on the heel which then slid out underneath her. She caught herself with her arms, so her fall wasn’t too bad, but graceful it was not.
She looked at Lady Liriel, who looked down at her disapprovingly.
“I’m sorry,” she said.
“It’s fine, you’ll just have to try harder,” Liriel stated. “However, your outfit isn't quite right… Hang on! I have just the thing.”
She ran off to her nightstand, pulling out the drawer and rummaging around briefly, before pulling out a gleaming set of scissors. She returned to Alanna, holding out a hand to pull her to her feet, which Alanna gratefully accepted.
“Hold still,” she said as she disappeared behind Alanna. She felt Liriel feeling around her lower back, and her breath caught in her throat as she felt Liriel’s slender hands go as low as her butt. There was fear, but also excitement, and Alanna felt dizzy as her brain couldn’t quite decide which one to go with.
There was a snip-snip, and suddenly she felt Liriel grab her tail, pulling it out of her clothing.
“There! Now it’s perfect.”
Alanna turned and looked in the standing mirror. Liriel had made a small cut that allowed her tail to poke through just above her skirt. It looked quite cute, actually, as her natural fluff matched well with the monochrome of the maid’s outfit.
“Alistar, you are dismissed. The new girl will take care of me for the rest of the day.”
“As you wish, Lady Liriel,” Alistar stated, bowing, before turning on his heel.
“Now then,” Liriel said as she walked back to her bed and allowed herself to fall backwards onto her bed. “I’m hungry. I demand a snack before dinner. Wash your hands in that bowl, then feed me those grapes.”
She pointed a manicured finger at her nightstand which had a large silver plate and bowl on it, the plate carrying a bunch of grapes, still untouched so far, while the bowl was full of water. Alanna was somewhat confused by the request. The grapes were right there. What was stopping her from just eating them? She thought. Still, she felt happy to have something she could for her benefactor.
She washed her hands in the bowl, then picked up the plate and sat down on the bed next to Liriel. Again, her skirt rode up uncomfortable, and it was an effort not to let it expose her panties. She picked a grape off of its branch and began moving it towards Liriel, who held up a hand.
“A-ah!” she said, wagging a finger. “We do not eat like savages in this household. Peel it first.”
Admonished, Alanna withdrew her hand and began to carefully peel the grape. “I’m sorry, Lady Liriel.”
Liriel simply huffed in reply. Moments later, she brought the now-peeled grape to Liriel, who offered no resistance this time. Lowering it, Liriel gently scooped it out from between Alanna’s thumb and index finger, quietly chewing before swallowing. Alanna felt pride grow in her chest when Liriel smiled approvingly. “Good, keep them coming. I’ll tell you when to stop.”
Alanna peeled another grape, feeding it again to Liriel. However, after peeling the third grape, juices had begun to cover her fingers. She hesitated, unsure if attempting to feed her with her hands in this state was some breach of etiquette as well.
Liriel had apparently noticed her hesitation. “Just keep feeding me,” she said authoritatively.
“R-right away, Lady Liriel!”
“Call me Mistress,” Liriel said, again with that predatory tone Alanna detected earlier that day.
“Y-yes Mistress,” she said as she gently lowered the newly-peeled grape towards Liriel. To Alanna’s immense surprise Liriel partly lifted herself up as the grape approached her lips, and rather than grab the grape with her lips as she had done before, this time she took both of Alanna’s fingers into her mouth, sucking lightly and running her tongue over them to collect all the grape juice covering them. Liriel met Alanna’s gaze, her eyes half-lidded, giving her the most sultry look Alanna had ever been on the receiving end of.
Alanna gasped, but didn’t move. It lasted only a second before Liriel allowed herself to flop down again, chewing and swallowing the grape before giving Alanna an immense grin.
“There, wasn’t that fun?”
Alanna couldn’t respond. The lingering sensation of having her fingers between Lady Liriel’s lips was sending a shiver down her entire body. Her face felt incredibly hot. Shooting a glance at the standing mirror they were using earlier, she saw her entire face had gone beet reed.
She couldn’t do much more than squeak in response.
“I want one more. This time, keep it between your lips when you feed me.”
Alanna’s eyes became as wide as saucers. She couldn’t process the implications, only obey what she was told. With shaking hands she peeled another grape and placed it gingerly between her lips. Then she lowered herself slowly, inching closer to Liriel.
When she was in reach, Liriel raised her head upward slowly. Her lips closed around the grape, and for just a moment, hers touched Alanna’s.
Alanna then turned away and put her hands in her face, a rush of excitement together with immense embarrassment taking away all of her composure.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry Mistress! I didn’t mean to!” she began repeating, her voice cracking.
“Oh don’t exaggerate,” Liriel chided her. “You did what I told you to, so good girl.” She sat upright and padded Alanna on her head, right between her bunny ears.
“You will be serving me during dinner tonight. Go to your room and wash up. Don’t be late!” Liriel said, her voice rife with her own giddiness. Alanna found herself hurried out of Liriel’s bedroom, the door slamming shut behind her. As soon as she was alone her legs gave way beneath her. She realized she was breathing heavily, her heart pounding in her chest, every surface of her body sweating.
She had no idea what this feeling was, but some part of her definitely wanted more.
