I went to bed that night with a queasy feeling in me. It was school the next day. I was excited but nervous, everything would be new for me, a new school, new people, new teachers. Although I was nervous, I was ready to take on the day. Ready to make new friends, meet new teachers. I just hoped everything would be ok. If I could just go to sleep My thoughts were everywhere a million at a time. I screamed at myself in my head.
“Come on just go to sleep!” My thoughts were racing. Would I recognize anyone there? Would people like me? I knocked my thoughts all out my head. So I could relax and fall asleep. So soon I awoke.
I woke up with a pain in my chest. I thought I was gonna be excited. But I wasn't. Thinking of all the drama, the loudness, the “innocent” people, and the annoying ones. I just was not ready to face the day. I slowly dragged myself out of bed I dreaded the day ahead of me.
As I walked to school I was not ready to take on the day I wanted to curl back into bed and stay there forever. My heart pounded in my ears. My chest, aching. Approaching the school gate. Unable to move, My feet tingled. My vision disfigured as if I were looking through a fish-eye lens. But I had to go. Debating on turning around, I continued going. I had no friends, it was a new school new people, new teachers. Distracted by my thoughts. I got to school somehow without breaking down.
I entered the gate with my hands in my pockets, my backpack sagging, shuffling my feet. Not ready to face the day in front of me. I entered the building, and I looked for my first class. As I sat down I heard a noise over my head, the principal started announcing over the speakers. I listened for a moment while sitting down in the back of the class.
“Welcome everyone to Golden Valley Academy.” That's all I heard before it just turned into mumbling. I set my head down on the desk. My pencil behind my ear. I was done.
“I just want to leave” I mumbled, I heard a faint voice. the girl sitting beside me heard me.
“Me too” I glanced over to see a girl with brown hair and brilliant blue eyes. I put my head back down and sighed deeply. I barely heard the speaker, all it was just a rumble in the background of my noisy head. After the speaker stopped screeching in our ears with annoying words. She softly spoke with a slight of a smile.
“What's your name?
Responding I mumbled, “KiKi.”
“My names Kimiko, this is my first year at this school so far I know no one,” she said with a simper.”What about you, how long have you been at this school?”
“ My first,” I said. Noticing I didn't want to talk. There was a long silence between us before class started. Soon enough, the teacher started speaking.

“Class I like you to open up to page 345" his voice fading into mumbling.
I dropped my head onto my desk. Not bothering to open my textbook. I had my head down for a long time before I heard everyone rummaging around. Realizing class ended a little early. I stayed where I was. Soon after I heard a squeaky voice and a dudes voice, coming towards me. I peeked over my arm and saw them. The squeaky voice was coming from a short girl with long gorgeous pink hair, and cloudy blue eyes. She was wearing a white tea shirt and a plaid skirt. Beside her, there was a tall guy, brown hair that faded into a greyish white. He had cloudy eyes that looked grey, a mask pulled over his mouth that made him look suspicious. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a pattern that started at the neckline and went out to the middle of his chest. On top, he was wearing a necklace around his neck. For pants, he was wearing ripped denim jeans.
I kind of just stared at them awkwardly for a moment. Then the tall dude stuck out his hand and said,
“Hey, my names Kuniko” He seemed friendly enough. I took his hand, he had a gentle but firm grab. The petite girl pitched in and said,
“And my names Kiyoshi.”
I whispered, "I'm Kiki.” Kimiko came over and said,
“Oh, you’ve met Kuniko and Kiyoshi.” I looked up and saw Kuniko just staring at me. I blushed and glanced away quickly, hoping he hadn’t noticed. The next thing I remember hearing is the bell ringing for the next class. Kuniko said
“Talk to you girls later?” Kiyoshi responded enthusiastically.
“Sure!” I looked at him for a moment not really hearing what he said but somehow somewhere I heard myself say,
“Okay”
At lunch, I saw Kuniko, Kiyoshi, Kimiko, and this other guy talking in a circle. I tried just walking away hoping they wouldn't see me. But I heard Kiyoshi call,
“Hey, Kiki! Over here!” I sighed, turned around and faced my fear. As I turned around, I ran straight into a tall bulky figure, with black hair, and wearing a cloak. He looked at me with a sneer
“Watch your step pigtails” Advancing towards me, Pushing me up against the lockers his left hand placed on the locker beside me. His right hand grabbing the scruff of my top, pushing against my neck, lifting me up the ground. I started choking, not able to breathe and too scared to move. Heart beating fast. I froze. I Heard a voice it sounded like Kuniko.
“Hey! Let her down!” He turned to look where the voice was coming from. Letting go of me I landed on the ground with a thud. Kuniko glared at him his hands clenched. The guy I saw earlier was there too. Jet black hair, white top black coat and black jeans. I heard Kuniko yelling and a voice I didn't recognize. I felt light-headed, the last thing I saw was Kuniko getting pushed onto the ground and held down. Before everything slowly faded into darkness.
I woke up and I was still on the floor. I tried getting up still a little fazed, and unsteady, I lost my balance. I feel into the lockers. Managing to catch me. I then slowly dropped myself to the ground. I gazed around with my vision disfigured. Not really remembering what happened. Suddenly I came into sense and heard a loud commotion coming from around me. It was coming from Kuniko and a voice that I recalled from earlier. Then hearing a big slam against the locker. Still, my vision fuzzy I looked to my left and saw a blurry image guessing it was Kuniko on the ground. Kuniko kept trying to get up but kept getting pushed down. I passed out again.
After school that day I was sitting on the bench about to leave. And Kuniko came up to me and said,
“ You alright from earlier, Ya need a ride?” noticing it was Kuniko who said it I murmured,
“Um, I'm Okay," with a slender smile. "And, no I think I'm fine”
“Are you sure?” He asked uncertainly. I didn't respond I just gathered my stuff, got up and left.
