Let me tell you a story of Divine Creation and creatures.
Divine Creation.
Creatures made from an entity less than The Creator, (humankind's respective gods).
These entities do not need prayers or worship to stay alive.
In a way, they just exist.
They are entities who are curious of possibilities.
Curious for impossibilities.
We will call them pseudo-God.
Although much weaker than most they are still capable of doing everything a god can do, they still have power to manipulate and create things at will.
What separates Pseudo-gods and The Creator (humankind's respective gods) is their lack of godly attributes.
They do not give a damn for consequence.
They wish to be entertained and are willing to commit genocide for it.
They believe that is their right.
For they have lived longer than the idea of time, and long before the creation of universes began.
Divine Creation creatures are things that have lived longer than spirits have. They are the creatures that lived in folklore tales and they are from the scary stories your parents told you before bed.
Creatures dating back to the age before dinosaurs. Some have adapted into human evolution, others have either slept or had died off. These creatures believed that they were made to fulfill a purpose, to live with meaning, to bring downfall to mankind. They believed they were created for various reasons actually.
But little did they know they were only created for the pseudo-Gods entertainment.
There are 5 pseudo-gods.
No one knows their name except Elophia.
Because she had witnessed the entities be created.
Some might say that she was involved with the process.
Some creatures were made for personal erotic reasons, few wanted a species infusion or a ‘chimera’ creation, and others wanted to tell and hear stories.
However, the pseudo-Gods made an agreement where after their creation is complete, no one would bother their thinking process with their own personal conflict.
Everyone agreed, interested to see how the creatures would think.
Thus the creation began.
Succubus, The lion-goat with a snake's tail, and dragons.
Some of these creatures slowly realized why they were created and started to find their own path, pursuing magic careers, traveling and few went as far as to fall in love and marry a mortal.
Others continued their lives doing their tasks to haunt, possess and do what they believed was pleasing their creators.
Creatures, well. They're like small... Subspecies? No. Yes, actually. Creatures are subspecies from Divine Creation creatures. Some are mixed breed, and others are made from pure magic.
Dragons Sub-species are snakes or frilled neck demons.
Chimeras Sub-species are Griffins and wolves.
Succubus Sub-species are well anything that breeds lust, to be frank. So their sub-species are currently undetermined. Lust doesn't only apply to sexual options it also applies to lust for knowledge, etcetera.
Gods, sometimes also have their subspecies.
Life and death in some instances are considered gods.
Whether or not you, reader, consider them gods is up to you.
But Life and Death have subspecies.
There are some instances where a mortal can't be killed at a specific time, so because they can neither let the mortal live for eternity or let the mortal die at that moment, thus they created,
Fate and Destiny.
Fate and Destiny have both been creating every living creature's way or meaning of life.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
Certain mortals can't be killed because it might bother the alternate dimensions, or might bother the future reality. A butterfly effect, the humans call it. Or something like that.
Honestly, it makes things neither easier or harder with Fate and Destiny around.
Fate and Destiny have written life stories of each creature and mortal. The way they live, die, the romance, everything. In some instances, they make strange cases alive.
The Salem Witch trials.
They wanted to see how humans would act if they knew that superior creatures were living amongst them.
It was hilarious when they understood human logic,
‘None of the accused Salem witches who confessed were convicted or executed but all 19 people who refused to confess were found guilty and executed.’
‘How could you get killed for refusing to take part in madness? It’s so silly.’ They thought.
So, they started to plant seeds of doubt.
Again, in no way did they want to interfere with the Divine Creations, they just wanted to set humanity on a course.
To guide them, if you will.
‘One of the first women to become known as someone that pursued science was a chief physician Merit-Ptah. It was in Egypt, around c. 2700 BC.’
The statement above could just be something they made up. Or it could be real. No one knows. That’s why the pseudo-gods did it. They wanted to start an argument.
They planted small ideas of rationality, atheism, and more.
This made the pseudo-gods more interested.
The Humans discovered rationality, logic.
Then they discovered science.
They questioned their creation, they questioned how life itself came to be.
What will happen when humanity stops blaming God for their misfortune?
What will happen when everything falls on them and their actions?
The pseudo-gods wanted to see more of that corruption.
Humans were always ungrateful. They always blamed something even though they were the ones that moved their legs and feet.
Ungrateful, Untruthful and Unworthy.
This is why the pseudo-gods targeted humans for their experimentation. Curious and curiouser.
But back to the matter at hand.
Of course, Destiny and Fate basically mean the same thing in a human dictionary.
However, in a realm that is far more superior where even death does not carry authority, Destiny and Fate both have their own thoughts, selfishness, and needs.
Fate is something you can't change. Destiny however, is something you can alter with your choices. To be even more specific, your karma. Basically, your choices shape what your future might hold.
That being said, Let's continue scaring Alec shitless.
"-They created you. To your bloodline, they are equivalent to God."
"What...?"
"This might be too much for him to handle at his age, Elo."
"He got himself involved with a succubus not even fifteen minutes after he left my house, Dru." The woman deadpans, rolling her eyes.
"Still, if he is as weak as you say... It might be better to take things slow. Try telling him about it as you both travel, yeah?"
"Travel? Have you started seeing things, Dru?" She says, bewildered at the thought of the idea.
"No, but if this child is serious about defying fate then it's better to talk along the way. For now, rest child, you must be exhausted." The old man was worried.
This boy does not seem like he has an affinity for magic, but then how did he meet Elo?
If this boy was going to defy the very thing that created him, then how did this weak boy who couldn't even see through his barrier, meet a woman who is the sole reason why the pseudo-gods haven't considered them dog toys?
Too many questions, too little time.
Alec nodded and he brought himself over to the couch and quickly fell asleep hugging a small, square, dark green pillow. The room somehow felt like his childhood bed. Warm and safe.
"Nice spell. Very subtle." Elophia complimented. As far as she's concerned, Dru would be the last person to doubt her in stressful moments. They had a history together, one that made them understand each other's powers better.
"Unlike yours, it isn't an unspoken one. It has more persuasive features." Dru brags, smiling softly.
"Oh. 'You must be exhausted'?"
Dru nodded, "The tea helps even more."
"I know your kind don't sleep Elo, but don't you think you might need some rest?"
The woman shook her head, relaxing her body into the chair. Honestly, she doesn’t even think she can close her eyes due to Alec's troubles. If she could, she would just disappear. But thanks to him, that’s not possible.
"His choices concern me. It might have effects on how the Creators might treat us after this."
"Butterfly effect?"
Elophia nodded.
“Just by thinking about changing his fate he might cause other things to fall into place. We don’t know what’s going to happen after this, Dru. He even came right to my door.”
"Who knows, this child might prove himself to be a favorite of Destiny. Defying unchangeable facts and still going out of his way to deny the truth... Might be a prodigy." Dru jokes, a small, soft smile evident on his face.
"Haha." Elophia rolled her eyes and shifted them onto her hands.
"Still need my eyes?" He gently offers.
"Please."
"Fine."
Dru blinked a few times and slowly; soft, small, twinkle of yellow lights glowing in his pupils took the place of the once empty eye sockets.
"I will now tell you what I see," Dru trails off- eyes wide, for the future told him things he dared not speak.
