As the sunlight filters through the leaves of the trees, I look behind, and I see the scattered remains of our family beneath the rubbles of our very home. While the sound of the sword slashing through the flesh, claws penetrating the bone, and a body being shredded as it was being eaten can be heard in the distance as our footsteps hurriedly takes a step to the path we don't know.
No matter how much I run, the smell of blood follows. Tears won't stop, and my knees are starting to give up but my friend held my hand to pull me away from that horror. Giving the momentum that I need that keeps my feet moving step by step till we reach a river.
There is a small bridge made out of wood, swaying by the wind, it looks dangerous, and the current is unforgiving to those who will fall. However, we ought to take it one by one led by a guardian of our village. Followed by the non-fighter like me.

As I walk to the bridge, I reminisce about my life in the village although it's not that peaceful but we are striving in our day-to-day life. Each of us has a purpose that we can do, a job that keeps us busy, and helps us get fed throughout the day. It is impossible right now. Ever since the attack, we haven't eaten anything, and fear is the only thing that keeps us forward.
The end of the bridge seems so big, and heavy yet my feet won't stop right now. I want to be strong, I want to have the skill to protect everyone, I said to myself as I reach the other land. After that, I look back, and make a promise to myself that I will change, and make an effort to help pave the path to a world where humans can live properly, and experience true peace.
As Everyone is here, I see them waiting for me, I look at them, and start walking forward to the unknown.
