The Immortal Decided To Just Start Journaling
One hand one shoe, It's perfect!!

One hand one shoe, It's perfect!!

It seems taking the time to journal my experiences really is worth it. The endless boredom I would feel during my travels has been replaced with thinking about what to write next. Overall, I doubt this will leave my routine for a while, to be honest I really can't believe I didn't try this until now, I literally had a hundred years...

The rainfall from yesterday has visible traces all over, small puddles cover the ground in splotches and act as a mirror for the now cleared up sky... Maybe what they say about storms bringing good things is true? All the storms I've experienced have mostly been...-nah, to be honest I'm not really the person to believe in stuff like that, don't think I'll start now. Though, regardless of any of that, today really is a beautiful day, the kind of one you don't see often.

It's been about four hours since I left the base of the mountain, I don't have a specific location in mind but I might try visiting the old Evindale Captial once again. Although the city doesn't seem inviting, the last time I went there on a short errand I actually took a stop for a while due to the surprising hospitality they showed me. Though... Things do change in 70 years don't they?... Well, it shouldn't matter that much, I have a few items I could get while I'm there so it wouldn't be completely pointless if the people sucked.

It's been five hours since I left the base of the mountain by now and I had a sudden epiphany come to me, if you could tie your shoes with one hand on either shoe then you wouldn't have to waste time going one shoe at a time! I don't know why this brilliant idea hadn't come to me sooner, this would save so much trouble for me! But... I suppose I'd have to get good at tying my shoes with one hand at a time first... Well, more things to cure the boredom wouldn't hurt.

The path I was treading before is slowly becoming easier to see, with my time traveling I've slowly realized that when the roads are more visible, or if there are roads, you're most likely where more people are. Out of all the skills that a traveler could have, sometimes, just that single one can be the most important. A great example of this is when I just began my travels... At the time, I was confident and cocky, believing that just because I was immortal it was impossible for me to get lost, I mean it made sense at the time, at the very most you could only get lost for a few months... right? Wrong! Very, very wrong, never trust yourself if you don't have any idea where you're going, and especially, and I mean especially! Don't get lost in a big birch forest... Just reliving it gives me chills... The amount of times I went in circles... Anyways, it was because of those experiences that helped me realize the importance of the small skills you build up over time that can really help.

The sun is already starting to set, and although I want to keep going, I know better than to wander near any Blue Light territory at night. This book may be of ancient history in a little while so I might explain what the Blue Lights are just in case... The Blue Lights are basically an organization that operates outside the government near a couple major cities, one of them being Evindale, the one I'm going to. And what they mainly do, is kill, rob, or recruit more people at night, simply put a pretty straight forward group that has a greedy goal. But the real intriguing part of the whole organization is the conspicuous blue lanterns they all carry with them, legend has it that if the blue flame in the lantern goes out the owner dies, which is why if you ever get caught with the misfortune of dealing with one, go for the lantern. Or something like that... To be honest I haven't had that many experiences with them so I can't say for sure if they're as big of at deal as people make them seem but what I found is that if you throw a rock at their lantern and run they leave you alone, so there's that.

Anyways, I think I'll set up camp now, hopefully when I arrive tomorrow I can find something worthwhile to actually do...
