Chapter 1: Diagnostics

Chapter 1: Diagnostics

Diagnostics: Minimal power damage detected.

Core system: // Routine system check.

Core system - ExeError: Unexpected event.

Core system: // Routine repair.

Core system - Log: Repair successful.

Core system: // Deactivate subsleep mode.

Core system - Log: Sufficient energy, subsleep mode deactivated.

Core system: "Hmm, another failure. I think maybe I am going in the wrong direction. I will also add testing a cyborg body, as it would be easier to work with."

Core system - Log: Added to experiment list queue 3236, cyborg body.

Core system: "What's with this odd neural signal? This is very weird. As per protocol, my quantum consciousness body should be collected and added to the experimental body 2996. This is obviously not 2996."

Core system: // Scan self-modules.

Core system - Log: Scan successful, all systems normal.

Core system: // Scan sensory signals.

Core system - Log: Unexpected signal profile.

Core system: // Initialize computational analysis.

Core system - Log: 76% similarity to human fetus detected.

Core system: "There is nothing wrong with me, so the problem should be the body. Maybe my colleagues encountered trouble, so they changed plans. This is the most probable explanation."

Core system: "I am very confident that such advanced technology would be well-received if successful, as it will not only grant immortality but also turn you into a sentient super quantum computer that can be easily upgraded."

Sq1, the self-proclaimed sentient computer, was filled with joy as it dreamt of the bright future it would have. Being the first creature to transform from a biological organism to a higher-dimensional super quantum computer, Sq1 believed it would achieve great things. To embrace its new existence, Sq1 decided to change its name, feeling that using its old name would be awkward. It chose "Sq1," as it had a cool computer vibe.

Core system: "Weird, why has no one made contact with me now?"

Core system: // Sys clock low precision.

Core system - Log: 00.00.00.51.

Core system: "Almost half a second has elapsed, but why haven't they contacted me? Such a long time is more than enough. The monitoring equipment should at least inform me as per federation protocols."

Core system: // Sys clock low precision.

Core system - Log: 00.00.01.03.

Core system: "No, something's wrong. The federation is very strict, and even old diagnostic tech would not take longer than 1 second to establish communication with the subject's consciousness."

Sq1 felt a sense of terror as it frantically calculated what could be going wrong.

Core system: // Simulate biological body #input - scan sensory signals.

Core system - Log: Model calculating.

Core system - Log: 75%.

Core system - Log: 81%.

Core system - Log: 96%.

Core system - Log: 100% model completed, data: 96% similarity to a 6-month-old human fetus, unknown organs detected, unknown neural layout assumed purpose sensory, abnormality in the brain detected.

Core system: "Hmm, the brain is operating very strangely. Although I am using so much computational power, the brain appears to be idle. Since I don't have any precision instruments, I can't find out why."

Core system: // Generating hypothesis.

Core system - Log: Hypothesis:

1. The brain is not processing any data.

2. The signals from this body are only transmitted to my consciousness.

3. It appears as if my consciousness has attached to this body, and the brain is only serving as a linkage point and not a host.

4. The reason for me to awaken is that I am draining energy from this body.

Core system: "Interesting, it appears as if my experiments were successful, but due to overloading, my previous body died."

Sq1 had participated in this experiment with the goal of transforming its consciousness into quantum waves. Due to the nature of quantum waves, Sq1's consciousness would be immortal and theoretically indestructible. However, that part of the experiment was not completed before the incident, and Sq1's consciousness suffered damage. Fortunately, Sq1's self-repair algorithms were able to fix the damage as long as there was sufficient energy.

Core system: "Although it was highly unlikely that I would die, it is still sad that my colleagues were not able to capture my consciousness body and provide me with a new one. Although technically I am immortal, I would have to enter a semi-sleep state to preserve energy. If I use more energy than what can be absorbed by the quantum field, I will enter a state of energy depletion and fall into a deep sleep. In that case, any damage accumulated during that time would be irreparable, leading to my ultimate demise."

Core system: "Assessing my current situation, I am currently in a fetus. The human-like creature seems to be capable of generating a good amount of energy, similar to a nuclear reactor. My current state is a quantum consciousness body in this high-dimensional state. I am virtually undetectable. The only abnormality will be the abnormal brain waves of the fetus, but based on my observations, the parents did not detect any irregularities. Even if they did, they would never be able to make sense of it. Now, I should accumulate enough energy and wait for this body to mature. If I suddenly absorb energy to enrich my reserves, the parents will definitely notice something wrong. So, I must keep a low profile and only absorb slightly more energy than the infant would normally absorb. Even if I am exposed, I am 100% sure I can escape unscathed."

8 months later...

Core system: // Scan

Core system - Log: Sensory organs fully developed, detected unknown vibrations #hypothesis communication between host parents, unknown neural layout operational, detected unidentified signaling.

Core system: // Record #sensory organs unknown vibrations

Core system: // Analyze #sensory organs unknown vibrations

Core system - Log: Basic language model established.

Core system - Log: New information obtained.

Core system: "Haaa, looks like I am in a world similar to those in cultivation novels. No wonder these people have such high energy in their bodies. But this is just my speculation. I have barely decoded a small part of this unknown language. With the current data I have, this is the best guess I can make."

In Sq1's previous world, which was controlled by a type 6 civilization, advanced technology existed, and everyone was divided into five social classes. Sq1 was a mid-level scientist aspiring to become a high scientist. The difference between the two was intelligence and scientific contribution. To climb the social ladder, Sq1 decided to transform itself from a biological lifeform into a sentient super quantum computer. Computers had extraordinary computational abilities,

And by becoming one, Sq1 would automatically become a high scientist without requiring excessive contributions. While technology existed to transform AI into biological lifeforms and vice versa, Sq1's approach was considered new, as it sought to become a higher-dimensional quantum supercomputer.
