"Liam, my son... you will be given two lives. One is the life of a human. As long as you don't go through that, you will lead a normal life. But, if you are unfortunate and get yourself mixed with the vampires, your normal life shall end. I hope that you never go through that. But if you ever get involved in something serious, remember that I will always be by your side".
TRING TRING
Liam wakes to the alarm buzz, "That dream again...". This isn't the first time he got this dream, but every time the dream ends at the same point. Anyway, he shrugs it off as it is just a dream.
He slouches away from the bed, his silky jet black hair being unruly and his slim yet tender frame leaning forward with laziness. With his red eyes standing out when compared to his pale white complexion, he makes his way to the photo of a woman who appears to be in her twenties. Young yet beautiful and just like Liam, both mother and son look like gods among commoners.
"Good Morning, Mom!"
Melton High School
Being the one and only high school in their area, it is no surprise that Melton high school is humongous. Surrounding it were huge hills filled with dense trees that isolated it from the city.
"Ahh", a boy slips across the pavement in front of the school.
"You are still clumsy"
"Serves him right for not following us"
The surrounding students curse him as he tries to organize the books that fell.
"Hey! you guys, stop it!", Liam goes to the boy and helps him back up, "Are you okay?". After getting a nod from him, Liam turns towards the other students as they look displeased with Liam helping the boy, "You guys should learn some manners".
"What now? Will the pretty boy teach us some manners?", a tall guy with spiky brown hair tries to scoff at Liam.
RING RING RING
As the school bell rings, Liam and the boy ignore the students and go towards the classes. In the surroundings, many other students watched the whole drama.
"Liam is so kind-hearted"
"Yeah, he is smart, kind, strong and so handsome"
The girls start adoring him like he is some sort of idol while some boys stare at him in jealousy.
"He is intelligent and athletic on top of it he is good looking, is this even allowed?"
During the lunch break, on the terrace of the school, the same kids are picking up on the boy from earlier. With the spiky brown hair boy leading them, they continue bullying the boy.
"I am sorry, Otion", the boy pleads as he gets beaten.
"You should be", Otion kicks him directly in the gut as he vents his anger, "I am not gonna leave Liam either".
"That's enough!", Liam shouts in anger as he rushes towards them. He helps the boy up and carries him towards the stair when he feels Otion's hand on his shoulder, "Where do you think you are going?"
"Let go. Now is not the time, he is injured"
"So what? We get hurt when we play right.", Otion says in a sarcastic tone.
"Play?", Liam scoffs at him with displeasure in his eyes, "Everyone knows what happened and you are gonna pay".
"You are misunderstanding something, we are playing right?", Otion makes a scary face at the boy who starts trembling, "Y...yes".
"See...", Otion begins to laugh hysterically and his goons do the same.
"You don't have to be scared", Liam assures the boy as he looks towards Otion and chuckles at them, "Otion, I have sent the video of you playing with him to our teacher already, so good luck with that".
"What??"
"What the hell did you do?"
"If the teacher already knows, we might get expelled."
The goons get tensed upon hearing what Liam told.
"What should we do Otion? I don't want to be expelled", one of his goons asks.
"Shut up! All of you!", Otion screams in anger as he watches Liam go along with the boy.
"You are gonna pay for this Liam", Otion grits his teeth in hate.
A Few Days Later
In a dark alleyway near the school, three men are talking with each other. One of them is Otion while the other two are wearing masks. In front of them, the usually overbearing Otion is full of devotion and respect.
"We need some humans", a man wearing a blue mask and black clothes asks Otion in a dark and lonely alleyway.
"Yes, my lord", Otion who is known for being over-bearing is kneeling in front of them and being humble.
"I think it is better if the humans are orphans so that no one will try to search for them", another man with a green mask and the same black clothes unforms.
"Yes", Otion nods and goes out of the alley.
"Its payback time, Liam", a smile creeps its way towards on face.
"First Elder", the green masks begins speaking, "Can we trust that guy to bring them?".
"Don't worry, Second Elder. We are out in the countryside and this place barely has any vampires. And we are taking precautions by not going after vampires, so our alternative is humans. So no one will find out and even if they did, you know the person behind us, right? As long as he is there with us no vampire in the country of Alkaska can go against us", the blue masked man tells calmly.

"Bye, Liam"
"Bye", Liam part ways with his friends as he goes towards his house.
"I need to get some groceries", Liam walks towards his house as he thinks what to have for dinner.
RING RING
Liam lifts his phone, "Hello".
"..."
"Hello!", Liam talks again before trying to cut the call but...
"...Liam", Liam manages to hear a hoarse voice on the other side, "It's me, Otion. I am sorry for what I did but please save me".
"What happened? Where are you?", Liam asks worryingly.
"I am behind the abandoned building on the hill", Otion tells in a scared tone to make Liam believe him.
"Hill? The hill behind our school?", Liam being the kind person doesn't think things through and rushes to help him, "Even though he may be a jerk, he is still a fellow student".
RUSTLE RUSTLE
As the wind brushes past the leaves on the full moon night, Liam runs into the hill, "Otion...Where are you?". Liam screams at the top of his lungs as he reaches the abandoned building.
"He..here", Liam hears a weak voice from the bushes where he finds Otion lying in a pool of blood.
"What happened?", Liam asks as he tries to look at the wound by crouching beside Otion when someone hits him from behind on his head.
"Arg!", Liam falls down and just before blacking out he sees Otion talking to two people.
"Did you confirm he is an orphan?", the First Elder asks Otion in a monotonous voice.
"Yes, my lord"
"Fine, then you can take your leave. Make sure to take care of the cops about his death", Second Elder informs as he carries Liam and takes a leap which humans are not capable of before vanishing from the sight of Otion, "This is what happens when you mess with me. Because of you, I was expelled from school and became a laughing stock in front of others. So enjoy my payback".
Meanwhile, First Elder and Second Elder bring Liam to a cave far away from their town. Although the cave looked small from the outside, it was humongous. There are many partitions inside the cave that it is not wrong to call it a dungeon. It was also bright inside like it has its sun.
As both elders dive deeper into the cave, they pass by prison-like cells on either side. In each prison, some people are tied by chains and coughing up blood while screaming in pain. But the elders do not care about it and go deep until they reach a huge dome-like place in the cave. But unlike what one would expect, it is filled with machinery and some tools for experimentation on humans.
There are many people strapped to the chairs and screaming, and amidst all that, an elderly man is sitting leisurely as if he doesn't care about the people. He has a bald head and a wrinkly face. He looks exactly like a meek old man, but he isn't any normal person.
The Second Elder throws Liam on a chair, "Minister, with this we have the 100 humans. Is this enough?".
"Yes", the elder gets up and walks towards an unconscious Liam. He gets some kind of injection and begins to make something.
"Now, what exactly are we doing here, Minister?", the First Elder asks in curiosity.
"Well, I did promise I would tell you after finding all the humans", the Minister creates a blood-colored solution, "Do you remember the monster that our King fought with?".
"How can we ever forget that?", the Second Elder gets shivers thinking about.
"It almost killed our King. Even if all three of us work together, we cannot even give him a grave injury", the First Elder admits.
"Now, for our rebellion to succeed, we need to get rid of the King. Even though he is nearly dead and bedridden, we cannot take him down so I am creating a monster from the remains of the earlier monster and training it so that it can hunt the King. That's why I am injecting all these low-lives with the King's blood. We will leave them in the forest inside this cave and seal the exit. Then the monster will hunt them and by consuming them it will grow strong enough to kill the King".
Hearing this both First and Second Elder go silent, when they knew that the Minister was planning something, they didn't expect it to be this twisted.
"But won't the humans die by directly consuming the King's blood?", First Elder knows that even he cannot survive after taking the King's blood. In a Vampire society, if a low-tier vampire drinks the blood of a high-tier vampire, they die. So when a normal human takes the blood of the most powerful vampire in the country of Alkaska, the consequences would be unimaginable.
"Yeah, they would die but I made certain changes to the blood so that they would receive some vampire powers for some years before they die", the Minister says as he injects Liam with the King's blood.
"You are a bit too cruel Minister", Second Elder says in words but he agrees with the actions of Minister.
"You cannot get power without dirtying your hands", the Minister laughs along with both the Elders.
------------
"Arg!", Liam wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings. Just as he tries to move his hand, he realizes something, his hands are chained.
"What is this? Where am I?", just as Liam tries to get up, he is hit with unbearable pain all over his body. It is as if his body is being crushed by a mountain, "AAAAHHH...AAAHHH". Liam lies down on the ground as his body spasms violently.
After a long time of experiencing hell, he gets adjusted a little. He starts to think a little to try to be sane otherwise in this pain, he could go insane.
"Otion, why would he betray me? And these people what do they want with me?", as Liam tries to think the pain multiplies, "AAHHHH".
As he about to faint due to the pain, the door to his prison opens.
"Oh! You are still awake. Everyone else fainted by now, that is some amazing will power you have. But sadly I have been asked to test you. So let's test your will power a bit more", the First Elder tells as he locks up the door.
"Who...who are...you? Wha..what do...you want...with me?", Liam says in a low-pitch voice as he doesn't even have the energy to sit up.
"You don't need to know that", First Elder takes out a knife, "But now, I need to test your regeneration".
"What..AAAAAAAAAA!", Before Liam completes his question, First Elder stabs him in the gut making Liam feel excruciating pain in his abdomen.
"Hey don't you faint now, I have a lot of things to do and I need you awake to find your true regeneration", he slices open Liam's stomach making Liam feel an inhumane pain as he cries in agony, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ST...STOP.....STOP IT!!!".
"Well, your regeneration appears to be fine", First Elder thinks for a moment before a crazy idea comes up to his mind.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA PLease....JUST...STOP", if the earlier shout was at the top of his lungs, this time it could cause one's ears to bleed. Liam could feel the First Elder's hand inside his stomach. He could clearly feel the hand slowly making its way towards his heart. To Liam, every second felt like a millennium.
"Get ready for the final check", First Elder eyes brimming with psychotic pleasure as he crushes Liam's heart.
This time Liam did not shout, he felt is bodily functions cease for a moment before resuming but the pain never ended.
"That's it. I guess you are alright. Do not blame me for doing this. This is just me checking something. If anything it is your fault for not fainting like others", the First Elder goes out.
As blood starts flooding out, Liam lay there feeling his sanity go away, "Why is this happening to me? Was I wrong to be good? Was I wrong to trust someone I shouldn't have?". Liam begins to question himself as he lies in his pool of blood.
This is when something began to change in him, something that will change not only him but the future of the whole country.
3 YEARS LATER
First Elder and Second Elder go to a mansion in the capital city of Alkaska, Damion city.
"Minister, you called us"
"Yes", the Minister is sitting on a chair with his desk full of paperwork, "The plan failed".
"What?", both the elders looked at each other in bewilderment.
"As I said the plan failed", the Minister repeated, this time with a large trace of anger making both of them shiver.
"Until two months ago it was fine. Later I had work, so I couldn't go, but when I went yesterday everyone, including the monster, died", Minister explained controlling his anger.
"What? Wasn't the monster supposed to be as strong as you two months ago?", the Second Elder asks in confusion.
"Yes, I think it was incapable of handling the power more than that", Minister sighs as he thinks about his hard work for the plan, "The body of the monster was blown away into bits and there were traces of resistance from the humans, they tried to set a trap using fire but it seems to have failed still there was a huge pile of ash".
"Then what about the humans?", First Elder asks. If any human is alive they could ask them what happened in these two months.
"Everyone died, I made sure to check their corpses although most of them only had some parts of their body left, the monster probably ate them all."
