Prologue: Turbulence

Once, long ago in the land of Uri, a brutal war was waged between mankind and beasts. Millions perished, creating a separation of inequality for both sides. Exhausted and weary, leaders from each camp came together to make a decision—a decision that would end the suffering and heartache for all.

Their leaders agreed to divide the four hemispheres straight along the equator.

Alexander the III, also known as Alexander the Great, read and signed this docket. The treaty guaranteed the separation of beasts and humans by giving the two sides their own parts of the world that were off-limits to each other. Territories were distributed back to their rightful owners. People fled entire oceans, terrified, yes, yet they honored the agreement. To leave by any means necessary.

It was known as the 13th day of silence, a ceasefire as individuals crossed into the newly defined borders of the world.

Both sides had a special request signed into the treaty that signified their trust. The beasts' side of this special request was simple: humans would supply them with whatever materials they needed at any time to rebuild. A human by the name of Arthur Pendragon on the other hand, had a more complicated request. Authur asks beasts that were willing to come to their side to stay. Alex rejected this request at first, but it was initially passed on by the belief that no beast would ever go to the humans' side. Yet, many had.

The war was over, leaving humans to form "Edland." It was a time for peace, not war, and to maintain this peace, Alexander the Great devised a plan. As the first seven kingdoms rose to power, he gathered a Council. It was the body of work that oversaw the treaty, and ensured its terms were upheld. Contingencies were also placed to save the human race in case the treaty were ever broken, and war was waged again.

This ended with a bend in the rules and a force of bounty hunters known as Beast Hunts, these bounties were posted on public boards for all to see. Some beasts were simply too animalistic to control. This measure made it that any threat to peace could be swiftly dealt with.

Among the seven kingdoms throughout Edland, Camelot rose in the north and Atlas in the south. In the sky the Aerial Kingdom was established. The west coast was home to the kingdom of Atlantis, while the east contained the kingdoms of Condie, Limb Bra, and Veil. They were to be the last defense, the wall that separates us from the monsters outside, but nothing ever happened again.
