The withering of a soul

The withering of a soul

I wake up.

I still feel tired, probably three or four more hours of sleep would do the trick.

This ceiling...How many times have I seen it?

Probably thousands.

I wash my face.

The breakfast is always nice. One of my few pieces of solace.

I walk to the bus stop. What a beautiful sight!

The bus rushes past me.

My teachers yelling at me for being late it's what I mean. It's not such a beautiful vision after all.

Biology class. Did you ever thought about how beautiful the notion of life flowing everywhere is?

There is me and my class. A bunch of cells talking about another cells.

Chemistry class. Everything is made of very small things, and those very small things are made of even smaller things. It's like a cycle as beautiful as the Fibonacci sequence.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

I always feel so burned out that time at school seems to pass by me like nothing. No, I'm not like a certain mafia boss from a popular manga.

P.E.

Honestly, I can't stand all of the whining about how I can't play any sports. Like I have any interest in this class.

We were playing basket and one of the guys on my team got a little too excited and decided to pass the ball to my nose.

As I fell, the sleeve of my tracksuit revealed my left arm.

Some people noticed the bruises. I needed to brush it off somehow.

-How can I know if you didn't do this to me Kai? You were always a good thrower.

This isn't good, they can't go around with the wrong idea about this on their heads.

It wasn't talked about in the rest of the day.

A typhoon. Great. Why did my Internet had to fail me today? And why am I so dumb that I couldn't even bring a damn umbrella just in case!

Looks like I will have to get wet.

Just as I was about to step out into the rain, I heard the second sweetest voice I've ever heard (my mother is the first, of course).

-Hey, wait!

I looked behind me, but there wasn't anyone there.

-You, silly.

She is the best student in our class, and one of the best in the entire school, not to mention she is a member of the volleyball team, that was currently working towards the national finals.

A calm that even left myself impressed filled my heart, and I found myself staring at her hazelnut eyes, for what appeared to be hours.

Yes...I feel that something will change in my life...From this point.
