Chapter 72: Bliss

Chapter 72: Bliss

The wooden slip inside of his cube thrummed as it glowed brightly and flew towards his forehead. It entered his forehead as if it was incorporeal, and inside his thoughts, it floated as if watching everything that he was thinking of.

Slowly he moved his hands, lifted it, carefully trying to touch something in front of him as he said. "Space... I understand now. Every movement I do, every change in the surroundings, and any occurrence, causes changes in the space. It might not be apparent but it exist. The small changes do occur, and it affects the space around us."

He then waved his hands slightly distorting space at the tip of his fingers as profound glow appeared in his eyes. "If you understand it, It becomes tangible, changes can be applied, but enough force is necessary to alter it. At my level I cannot wish to forcefully rip open the space but, if I have an art relatde to it, I can do whatever I want with it!"

His hands then continued towards his forehead tapping it, after which, the wooden slip fell out and landed on his palm. He looked deeply at the wooden slip and made his consciousness enter it. Inside, he saw a new sphere which was pitch black, but distorts from time to time.

Once he saw the sphere, he knew what it was. Without hesitation, he touched the sphere where his consciousness entered.

His consciousness distorted along with the space inside. The space was basically the same as the space where he was physically located, however, inside the sphere, the space was easier to manipulate.

By simply moving a finger, a rift can open up or change the space around him. It was a bizarre moment for Ming Li. However, he noticed something that made him frightened. His consciousness was slowly being devoured by the space, or to be precise, it was beginning to be one with it!

Quickly, he withdrew his consciousness out from the sphere and directly out from the wooden slip as he panted heavily while feeling extremely weak. "So being one with the space can cause my existence to disappear."

Even though he almost died, he was still satisfied with the result. A smile appeared in his face as he waved his hands and the distortion in space was more evident than before. Then with a claw like motion, he ripped the space in front of him creating a rift as big as his head.

When he created the rift, he panted heavily as if the action he made consumed a lot of stamina from him.

He then laughed loudly while shouting "Freedom!"

"Today I will be free! Hahaha."

"I have gained a new art! I will call this Space Control Art for now."

The puppet was startled by his voice and came out yawning. It looked at the slowly disappearing rift in front of Ming Li, and a strand of hope can be seen in its expression.

It then looked at Ming Li with veneration as it said "I can't believe a total useless weakling like you could actually alter space."

Ming Li was a bit pissed off by hearing the words of the puppet as he shoved it to the side and sat crossed legged trying to recover his stamina.

"Quickly, make a bigger one so we can escape this place!" The puppet urged Ming Li.

Ming Li inhaled deeply and entered a meditative state. The puppet did not stop its bothersome persuasion while flying back and forth.

After some hours, Ming Li opened his eyes then said "I assume that the Black Spider Guild has already been eliminated since all their elders died when the woman appeared. So currently, I have no major enemies, which means I can live my life easily from now on."

"I need to be careful and not cause any more trouble for myself this time. I am not sure where I will appear once I open a rift, but I need to make sure not to make enemies."

He then chuckled from joy and stood up. The puppet was so excited for what was about to happen. It seemed like it was bored to death inside the space which made it want to go out more than anyone else.

"This space is easier to alter compared to the space on the outside world, since the laws here seems to be unstable. I am not sure if I can do the same outside, but if I can create a skill from my new art, maybe I can do it."

He then inhaled deeply and lifted up his arm. Concentrating all of the natural energy he can control in it, he swung his hands downward tearing the space open!

When he was about to laugh, he heard a pained voice when he spit the space open. This made him frown slightly, but together with the puppet they still flew out of the rift and saw the sun for the first time after being imprisoned in the void.

The scenery outside was a bliss for Ming Li. It was his first time feeling that the the sun was magnificent, the sky was strikingly beautiful and the air felt so extremely refreshing. Even the ground below him gave him a sense of happiness by simply being able to step on it.

However, in the midst of his joyful moment, the scream he heard became intense which made him look below him where the scream was coming from. Near his feet, he saw a man with a large cut in his body from his shoulder down to his waist. It was no small injury, even high level seekers could easily die from such extreme wound.

"How dare you attack young master Hu Min!" a voice resounded not far away.

Ming Li then looked at the direction of the voice where he saw five young man who were injured but still emanated strong aura at the soul realm, the strongest of them was at the fifth level.

"Young master? I did not hurt anyone. I just came out from the rift." Ming Li explained with puzzlement.

"Hahaha! Your weak young master will now die. I can't believe he will die with an attack from an unknown person. Well, he was already extremely weakened anyway, so he was bound to die." A fair skinned man with well kempt hair and strong bearing said.

Along with the man were three people with similar appearance, however, they seem a bit weaker than the man who spoke.

Ming Li again looked at the person below him for a moment, then shifted his gaze at the five people, These people were a bit rough in appearance while wearing long tribal clothes, their hair were a bit unkempt compared to the other group and their brows were noticeably thick.

Then he asked "How did this man below me got injured?"

He seem to have a slight understanding of the situation, however he still wished to hear it from the people around him.

The young man with the tribal clothes spoke again "You attacked young master with that strange rift you created!"

Ming Li's eyes went wide when he heard this. His mind spun as he thought "Attacked..... Young Master.... I'm screwed. I think I have found myself another enemy."

He then quickly pulled out variety of pills and fed it to the injured person below him. The group wearing tribal clothes rushed to Ming Li with murderous intent.

When he felt this, Ming Li quickly leaped back trying to escape the group then shouted "I am trying to heal your young master! I wish no harm!"

However, the group was already filled with the desire to kill him as they looked at the condition of their young master. They could not believe the situation; their young master was at the verge of dying. With his current state, he might not last ten more breaths.

The group roared as they attacked Ming Li upon seeing that there was no hope to save their master. Various skills flew toward Ming Li, the strongest was a giant wave of water that was directly attempting to smash towards him.

Ming Li gritted his teeth preparing to block the attack, when suddenly, the other group used their skills to save Ming Li. Various skills collided causing a large smoke in the vicinity.

"Hahaha. Since you have saved us the trouble of killing that weakling, we will help you escape. My name is Zhao Kuo from the Zhao Clan, I hope we meet again."

Ming Li was a bit hesitant to go, and thought of slaughtering everyone to avoid the news of him killing a young master from some group to spread, but when he saw their exchange of attacks, and that the Zhao Clan seekers were slightly losing because of being outnumbered. He clenched his fist and ran away.

His life was the most important at the moment, and he was still tired from tearing up the space. He knew that he would simply die if he insisted on joining the battle of people on a higher realm than him.

With conflicted emotions, he ran as fast as he could to escape the wild battle going on. He does not know if that young master was extremely important to the group, or how high was his status, but he had no way to know, and his only choice was to hope that the one he killed was not someone who could cause his life to become a mess again.
