20 Years Later...
“Run!” A boy shouted to his brother behind him. “Why in Eolmers beard are the guards after us John?” He exclaimed in mildly irritated tone.
There feet padded the hard ground, running across the main street.
“Gill I may have stolen a kiss from the the beautiful duchess.” John excitedly exclaimed. “What? She didn't seem to mad.”
As the boys were running they heard the sound of soldiers knocking there arrows.
Gill asked in baited breath “Oh John how are you going to get us out of this mess? They are about to shoot.”
As they ran down a back alley they ducked into a small hovel.
A soldier shouted “All Right boys we know you're in there, come on out with your hands up and no one will get hurt.”
As the soldier was talking the building went up in flames.
“Haha I can't believe that worked.” John said while crawling down the tunnel that led down to the city sewers.
“You simpleton! What in Gorgeds name were you thinking!” Gill furiously yelled at John.
Gill had planned the whole operation. They were supposed to secretly break into the Governor's mansion steal whatever they could find and escape into the night without anyone knowing the wiser.
“Come on man we got the money relax.” John said meekly.
As the two boys ran down the tunnel they met up with an old hermit. “So boys how did it go?” The old man furrowed his brow observing the faces of the boys in front him. “Not good huh, well I guess we should get running then.”
In remote castle after the Battle of the 7 kings...

“Excellent now the prophecy will not come to pass!” A man shrouded in ornate clothing exclaimed.

Present day…
The night held a bitter cold wind, the smell of burning thatch filled the air. The sky was shrouded in a thick melodious darkness, the only light that could be seen for miles was found in the city of Lux. A place that was known for it's exquisite beauty and beautiful summer blossoms was shrouded in sea of flames. Merchants, citizens, soldiers and even the nobles all aided in the effort to quench the blazing inferno. It all started earlier in the day when a couple of thieves broke into the Governor's mansion and escaped by starting a fire.
“Get some water on those flames soldier!” The commander of the guards shouted.
“We can't sir the city's well has collapsed.” A soldier shouted back.
“For god's sake then evacuate the town!” The commander shouted
In a small crevice on the side of a steep cliff, a small lite could be spotted. Two boys and an old man could be seen sitting around a small fire.
“So how are you boys gonna split your winnings?” The old hermit asked.
“Well I say since this idiot got himself caught, he should forfeit all of his loot.” Gill exclaimed in an exasperated tone.
“Come on man I did get the giant diamond necklace off the duchess.” John said in an irritated tone.
“Settle down boys.” The old hermit chuckled to himself. “If you youngsters keep arguing like that I might have to take the winnings for myself.”
While they were sitting in the darkness the sound of horses could be heard in the distance.
In a back alley...
“Damn I can’t believe she got away, the boss ain't gonna be to happy about this.” A short pudgy man said to his companion.
Next to a crowded tavern a short girl with silver hair, covered in mud and grime ran through the streets.
“I have to get out of here.” She said to herself.
Throughout the town people were celebrating the newly elected Governor. The young girl stopped for a moment and took a quick breather. She noticed a rain bucket next to her and she took a deep draft. While she was leaning over the side, a hand covered her mouth.
As she tried to struggle a voice whispered into her ear. “My apologies princess but you are going to have to be quiet for a moment.”
As the man and princess hid in the shadows of a nearby building, men in full plated armor galloped by on their massive warhorses.
“You idiots I can't believe you let her escape!” A large, tall man with a full black beard shouted at the soldiers.
“We are sorry sir.” The group of soldiers shouted back.
“Be quite” The man in the shadows whispered while the soldiers rode through the city gates.
“Won't you please explain who you are?” The princess asked while the man dragged her into a small shack.
“I will explain everything when we get out of the city, for now we will stay here for the night now sleep.” The man draped in the black cloak whispered.
