Will this be farewell?

"Finally, the book ended." Exclaimed Tengfei before he folds the newspaper on his hand.
Lihua stirred the cup of coffee beside him, "We finally got our damn vacation." Sighing before complaining, "The author made us work till our bones resembled creaking door hinges."
Tengfei gestured, "Hey, at least we survived one book. Remember Saladin?"
"...Who- Oh! That poor protagonist..."
"Poor him indeed, Forgotten for nearly three years. Him and his harem filled with clichés."
Someone banged on the nearby wall, before a loud voice could be heard, "I can hear, you know!?"
Both Tengfei and Lihua gave off a wry smile before thinking, '...He's still here?'
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"Tengfei, I'm rereading through our dialogues... and don't you think that we sound sappy?"
Tengfei coughed out a mouthful of blood before nodding.
Lihua exclaimed, "Is that blood!?"
"No, ketchup." He then closed the book which now has ketchup in it.
"We really need them changed as soon as possible. Our reputation is slowly going down the drain at this rate."
Tengfei nodded before standing up, "I got a plan."
Lihua pulled out the popsicle from her mouth before asking, "And what that might be?"
"I'll threaten the author with my retirement!"
"I don't think that'll work since he's working on a short story."
Tengfei fell to his knees and looked up in despair.
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"Hey Tengfei remember chapter 1?"
"kind of fuzzy but yeah."
"I sure was antagonistic."
"If you think that was bad, then you should have seen how we were written on his copy-book."
Lihua shivered as she recalls it.
Coughing a bit, Tengfei tried to mimic Lihua's voice, "Mother! We should throw away this trash! Let meee do it for youuu!"
This earned him a good pinch to the side.
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"I heard that Lou Jun was supposed to be your first love, Tengfei?"
"Yeah, the author planned that I had fallen for her from the first meeting. It was changed later on."
"Like those shoujo shows, where they bump to one another." Lihua rolled her eyes while not trying to hide her disgust.
"I don't recall what the author planned with her originally."
"By chapter fourteen, she would've died from not choosing to kill you."
"Now I recalled, her story is quite tragic no matter what happened." He then sighed.
"Hey, at least she's alive. Though a slave to her father's killer."
"I wonder what our dear author has in store for her."
Tengfei shrugged before replying, "Even worse than death, I presume."

This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.
"So, there has been that ghost who was following you since chapter one. And only at the very end of chapter fifty, did you meet her."
"Yeah, apparently I'm her brother."
"Why do you look... disappointed?"
"Her original story, that's why."
"..." Lihua knitted her eyebrows before staring daggers at Tengfei.
The gray-haired salaryman took away the worry of his wife, "I was just joking!"
"Hmph, you really wanted her to have that type of backstory?"
"No! Really I don't!"
Lihua then said, "Her being the younger sister type when you were young? Died a pitiful death of illness? Followed you? Then eventually fused with a spider? Slowly turning to a humanoid spider before turning into your lover?"
Tengfei shied away before looking at his watch, "Oh! Look at the time, I'm off to work!"

"How was Zhou Huan supposed to act? Did he have any plans for his character?" Asked Lihua.
Tengfei then answered, "Yeah, he was supposed to be a pure comedy relief type of character. Failing at simple things. Bad with women. His past is nothing special compared to now."
"Don't you think his character is quite unstable? Like he's turning from comedy to serious to cold hearted."
"Our author is working on it. Don't worry."
"Hopefully he doesn't change us as much or else our fruitful comedy duo for this chapter would look weird for the future readers."
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"So, lets now talk about Red Sin." Said Lihua.
"There's nothing much to talk about her."
"Except she hates colds as much as you do."
"Are you really getting jealous over some colds?"
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"Oh, you returned quickly." Lihua said with a puzzled look.
"It's snowing outside."
Looking out the window, Lihua saw that it was really snowing, "Don't tell me you're-"
"Too late." Tengfei was already wearing multiple jackets and covering himself with a blanket as he laid on the sofa.
Lihua sighed before commenting, "If we had a personally cave, I guess you'd hibernate in it."
Tengfei joked, "I'll cultivate first before hibernating."
Lihua couldn't help but laugh from that.
~/````````````````````````````````````/~
"What would the author call us if we were not in a Chinese based story? Other than literal translation."
"I remember yours would be Floon."
"Floon? Isn't that a silly name?"
"If you think that's bad, then my name was originally Cliber."
"I bet the author would use those names for his next story."
"Bet he would too."

Tengfei was currently scanning through the television. Clicking on the next button.
Lihua came by with a towel wrapped around her body.
Tengfei asks, "Going for a shower?"
Lihua showed a grin before unveiling the towel around her, saying afterwards, "Make love to me!"
Unlike the story Lihua, this Lihua is a twenty-four-year-old. Being endowed with curvature. Not that much though.
After seeing this, Tengfei dropped the remote.

Afterwards
Hi hi! You know me as Derejird!
Thank you for being with me on this little adventure. At the beginning, I never thought that I would finish this book. But look where I am, fifty complete chapters. I took a long break at chapter ten due to pursuing my studies. Luckily, I decided to continue on this book. Though it's horribly... done.
I'm sorry for not thinking much of universe where the story took place. That's why it sounds ridiculous at the moment. Both knights and Cultivators are joined to one story.... What a mess.
I didn't even foreshadow that the world contains mana and loyal knights. It looked like any typical fan fiction of a wuxia story. Nevertheless, I still pursued it.
Let me first review my novel. I'm a harsh critic, even for my own work. The score I would give this... Is an honest 2.25/5. The whole book looks like a prologue with the plot slowly and taking its time to reveal itself. The characters don't have consistency, especially Zhou Huan and Lou Jun. Too many unnecessary words. Less description of the surroundings, especially scent and hearing. The complete power base system is atrocious. The fighting fits more on a script, being uninteresting. The characters have not been planned beforehand, which caused a lot of the mess. The romance seems overdone... I feel like I should tad it down. Some of the scenes looked immature.
My plan is to rewrite the book where I first think of the system, remove lots of stuff, add plot-points and etc. Though this has to wait because I'm planning on writing a horror book next.
You know, I'm a foolish person. Biting more than I could chew. I should've started with short stories, then move to novella, then I can tackle novels.
Oh well, what is done, can't be undone. Luckily, I completed the book.
Look forward to the next book which I presume will have a prologue in the coming weeks.
- Derejird out.
