~ Most wolves will hate fire so you could do a fire spell but since you haven’t had time to really practice it… ~
Cutting Enit off, “I don’t think now is the time to complain if I’ve had time to practice, now is the time to protect myself.” Maya says feeling a bit more confident with a ranged spell that would keep them at a distance.
~ Very well, direct your wand towards the wolves and let the fire within you surge, coursing through your veins and into your fingertips. Feel its intensity gather in your wand, ready to unleash a powerful blast. As you do this, chant these words with conviction: ‘Combustion and passion blazing within, erupt and set flame to defeat my foes' kin’ ~
Maya quickly pulls out her wand and points it at the wolves. She begins to breathe in, feeling the fiery energy building up inside her. With each heartbeat, the flames grew stronger, radiating from her core to her fingertips. Her fingertips now having a feeling of a burning sensation encompassing them, she focuses on that feeling moving from there and flowing to the tip of the wand and hurling towards the wolves gathered near the water, “Combustion and passion blazing within, erupt and set flame to defeat my foes' kin!”
In a split second before the sparks of light burst forth from the tip of Maya's wand, a surge of energy crackled through her body. Her hair stood on end, as the tips of her hair transform into a temporary shade of white. Then, with a resounding release of power, a softball-sized ball of fire shot forth from her wand, hurtling towards the unsuspecting wolf that was drinking from the river and hitting it square in the chest, propelling it forcefully into the water. "Yes! I did it!" The fiery commotion had caught the attention of the second wolf. It turned its gaze towards Maya, its eyes filled with a primal mix of aggression. Meanwhile, the drenched wolf emerged from the water, its singed fur giving away the effects of the spell. Howling fiercely, it joined its companion in a threatening stance.
“Oh shit, this can’t be good. They’re angry not scared.” Maya says, now scared at how the events unfolded before her.
~ Like I said flying would be a better option ~
“Like hell I will, I am not going to go up higher when I can’t even go forward a few inches from the grou..” Maya’s words fall flat, slightly dizzy… no, lightheaded and drained. “What’s happening Enit?” groggily spoken, fear still coursing through her enough to set her inside a blaze, but her body refused to coincide.
~ You haven’t had the chance for proper training, as I was trying to tell you before. Because of this, you had to use yourself as a conduit for power instead of the nature around you. You’re a witch, you need to use nature until you yourself have more power ~

The urgency of the situation fueled her determination to escape. With every ounce of remaining energy she could muster, she turned to face the dense forest and broke into a desperate sprint, hoping for a chance to escape the wolves or make them lose interest. The sound of pounding footsteps echoed through the trees, growing louder with each passing second. Ahead, a realization dawned on her—the looming presence of a small cliff, an obstacle in her path. Thoughts raced through her mind, contemplating her next move... an obstacle in the wolf’s path too "Maybe, if I can climb that cliff, they won't follow."
Maya burst through the dense tree line, her eyes widening at the sight of a small clearing before the cliff. Gaining ever closer to the cliff she catches sight of a cave nestled within the rocky terrain. With the howling of the wolves growing alarmingly close, she pushed her body to its limits, sprinting towards the cliff. Swiftly as hope had arrived to climb the cliff it shattered as the chorus of howls suddenly shifted in front of her. Panic washed over her as a pack of growling wolves emerged from the cave. Frozen in her tracks, Maya found herself slowly being encircled by the predators she had just picked a fight with. The reality of her situation dawned on her. Exhausted and cornered, her options dwindled to nothing. Time seemed to slow as fear wrapped around her senses. Her face now drained of all color and her breaths becoming shallow and rapid. Overwhelmed by the impending threat, tears welled up in her eyes, her voice quivering with desperation. "What do I do, Enit?" she pleaded, "I don't want to be torn apart! Devoured! Eaten alive!"
As the wolves closed in, their terrifying presence weighing down on Maya, she braced herself for the imminent attack. But just as despair began to tighten its grip, a sudden rustling erupted from the tree line. Her heart skipped a beat, a mix of dread and hope filling her veins. "Please," she whispered, her voice pouring with resignation. "Don't tell me there’s more wolves." *Whoosh* A crackling ball of crimson light soared through the air, racing right in front of Maya. The searing heat emanating from its core made her instinctively shield her eyes. The projectile shot forward with a fearsome speed, crashing into the largest wolf of the pack with a thunderous impact. Flames erupted in a fiery explosion, ripping a hole right through it, with the edges of it engulfed in flame. Not even another moment passed before another wolf was launched away in the same fashion. In disbelief, Maya's eyes darted from the wolf to the source. Standing before her, a figure emerged, a warrior in leather armor, brandishing a sword. With unwavering determination, they swiftly and skillfully dispatched the remaining wolves, each strike landing as though this was only target practice.
“Incredible…” Maya says with the last of her energy before everything fizzles to black.
“Hey Maya, hurry up, we’re going to be late” Maya heard Emma say from outside of the room.
“Alright” Maya says back walking out “I’m ready. Let’s go to town.”
