Continent of Asgard: Tahto Village 12607 years after the fall of Prima Empire
Iso Ran through the Village when he heard the news of his wife going to labour. Sound of metal klanging was heard by everyone in the Village when he ran as fast as possible from the village walls to the house of the Village Doctor, his wife Reina's screams could be heard from outside of the simple, wooden door. "I'm here!" Iso shouted when he rushed inside the house breathing frantically as he looked around the tiny operation room for his wife. "Honey, you are here!" Reina said weakly and grimaced because of the pain.
Iso reached for an tiny chair and sat next to the bed his wife was laying down to give birth to his child and gripped her hand firmly. "Darling, you can do it" Iso said, not knowing what to say to his wife as she yelled in pain and the doctor giving her orders, all he could do was to hold his wife's hand and hope for the best.
Three hours later, Iso was looking at his wife holding his firstborn on her arms and swaying him to sleep. Iso looked at this image and thought that he was the happiest man in the world. "Honey, it's a boy. What should we name him?" Reina said to him and snapped him out of his daydreams. "A boy....I'm sorry but i'm a little out of this world right now honey, why won't we decide home?" Iso said to her wife while thinking names for his son. The child turned out perfectly fine, and only after half a day Reina was given the permission to go home with her newborn.
They arrived late at night. Iso had to go plead for vacation as his job at the village guard so he could stay home with his wife and son. Their house was quite large, made mostly of stone and oak wood the two story house in the south end of the village, close to to Iso's post as the south gate but still not too deep in the village as Reina liked to have an garden and a garden could not really grow inside a crowded village center.
Their houses first floor consisted, of an kitchen, with an large table for six and a wooden stove. a large living room, with a few chair and a box of toys, the room was probably meant for an child to play in. A small study for Reina, as she grew a small amount of herbs and practiced alchemy. a small armory, which had enough storage for Iso's armor and sword, as well the tools to keep them in a good condition (sharping stone, armor wax etc...) there was also a door to the basement in the kitchen, where the couple kept their rations and used the rest of the room as storage.
The second floor, consisted of four bedrooms, one for Rein and Iso, one for their son, one was used as a guest room, and the last was made in plan for additional family. There was also a small library, which consisted of books that the couple had gathered past the years.
Outside the house was a small garden, which looked like it was well kept, as the plant's brimmed with color and there was a small box of gardening tools. Behind the house, there was a small training area, with worn dolls which looked like they had been beaten for years, There was also a wooden weapon rack, which had an bow, wooden sword and a wooden round shield. This was Iso's training field, where he trained his Unique sword style: Crimson crescent moon style Which was a skill purely relying of battle spirit.
When the couple got home, the showed their home for their son, And Iso started to take of his armor, while Reina started to dress her child. "Okay, let's get our baby clothed!" Reina said and reached for simple white baby clothes from a dresser in her bed room while the baby laid on the bed behind her. As Reina started to dress her baby she noticed a golden shine from the bottom of the babys heel. When she looked at the weird glow, she noticed that it was actually a birthmark. a golden hand reaching for the sun. Reina was shocked, as birthmarks had a special meaning as it showed chance of what the person could become. Like Her and Iso's Her birthmark was a green leaf, and she had love for gardening. Iso's was a crimson crescent behind a sword., Hinting at his sword style. the color of the mark was also important, as different colors showed the persons talent for battle spirit and mana channeling.
The grades were: grey this of course did not mean that a person who had an grey birthmark was worse than a person with an purple birth mark. As Battle spirit was purely dependent of one willpower and the time trained, and Mana was dependent of one's imagination and manapool. The actual grading of potential were done when children went to school at the age of 5. Reina yelled Iso to come upstairs, who ran upstairs half donned in armor, as he did not have time to remove the armor fully. "What it is?" Iso asked as he looked at his shocked wife. "Look at his heel!" Reina answered to him as she held her hand at her mouth and sat to the bed, shock evident on her face. Iso looked at his sons heel cautiously, as his wife was never shocked because of small reasons, and saw the mark on his heel. "Is that..." Iso started to asked as he looked at the mark eyes wide. "A GOLDEN BIRTHMARK!" Reina shouted and jumped up from the bed and waed her hands from happiness. At that moment, Asgard continent only had 3 golden birthmark owners, and they were all respected masters, For their child have one was near to impossible. This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it. "A....golden birthmark...." Iso said and fainted on the bed. In a dark room in the village doctors house, a middle aged man wearing a long white coat, the universal sign of a 2nd stage doctor. was sitting in a chair, while holding a dark blue magic crystal, a communication crystal. and was reporting about a certain child "Yes, i am sure. I would not call you if i was not. Yes, a golden birthmark. I looked up their parents basic records, apparently, the father is some swordsman prodigy and the mother is some known alchemist in the kingdom of Nile. Basic story, Guy meets the woman, got her pregnant and ran away with her in here. I think they might come here to ask questions from me tomorrow." the man said as he leaned back on his chair and laughed. "I am little shocked that you actually managed to guess which village the mark was going. How will i proceed?" The man said and started listening... The next morning Reina and Iso took their child to the village doctor to ask for advice regarding the golden birthmark. a few seconds after knocking on the door, the door opened with force, and a middle aged man with dark hair and a star of a beard opened the door. "Miss and Mister Fey, How can i help you?" The man asked the distress couple. "Doctor Lekur, can we talk inside?" Reina asked as she looked around panicked and started swaying her sleeping child in her lap. "Of course, i do not have anybody at the moment so it's just you and i" The Doctor said as he opened the door and gestured the young couple to rush inside."So, what is the matter" The doctor said after closing the door, and sipped from his drink, which smelled of rotten fox corpses. and grimaced from it's taste. "Never pull a all nighter" he commented after the couple looked at him worried. "Doctor, we need to know everything about golden birthmarks, we know that you noticed it when you checked him after Reina gave birth." Iso said to the Doctor and stared at him coldly. "...All i can tell you right now is that the golden mark holder have always been extraordinary, The golden mark holder define common sense. All 3 person who have the golden birthmark have all become true masters of both magical and profound arts. They are the strongest martial artists on the continent." The Doctor said while putting his mug on a messy writing table and looked at the couple seriously. "The birthmark is also different with the golden mark holder than others. Every golden mark marked in history has always been different. And it portraits something important figure in the persons life. like Dwemer Mithrilhand who forged the "The Highlander" a blade so sharp that it cut through the scales of the dragon king, which were used to make armor for Azir the last emperor of the great Prima empire. Dwemer Mithrilhands mark was a sword cutting through dragon scales." The doctor said while waving his hands showing his excitment. "What do we do Doctor?" Reina asked while looking at her baby boy while thinking what possibilities the child would have if he ever lived to grow up that he could defend himself. every kingdom in the continent would mobile armies to gain child with an gold birthmark. "We are lucky that the mark is on his heel, It is the best place to have it, if you want the fact that he has an golden birthmark a secret, all you need to do, is to hide it." the doctor said to the worried couple who looked at each other hope with their eyes. "But how do we do that? We are not nobles, even if we have a bit more money than others?, The magic needed to hide that mark must cost a fortune!" Iso said as he realized that just a rare mgic must be costly. "Ah, but i need no magic to do that." The doctor said as he walked to an drawer and pulled out an a bottle which was filled with silver liquid and a thin needle. "First, all you need to do is to make sure that he does not show the mark to anyone, you can find someone to hide it with magic, but that does not stop the fact that everyone has a birth mark, so i will make a fake mark. The color silver is the only one what could explain if he learns too fast." The doctor said as he drew a mark under his skin with the needle, the mark was a star surrounded by a circle, mark of an prodigy. As the couple was leaving giving their thanks to the doctor, the doctor stopped them at the door and said "If i can give a request, i think you should name your child Aster, it's Shambalian and it means "A necessary lie" and waved the couple out and lose the door behind him.
