“Hey Julia, Do you want to live in separate house?” Emmy asked Julia.

“I don’t know” Julia answered strangely like she had no idea what to do.

“Do you know how to cook food?” Emmy asked as she remembered that Julia lost most of her memories.

“No, I never cooked anything before” Julia answered best to her knowledge. Julia hesitated and stuttered a little bit while saying “maybe I know but I don’t remember anything you know”.

“Let’s do this than, Julia you will live in our house till you recovers. We will help you get on track in meantime.” Emmy added.

“Okay, I will listen to you” Julia said happily. In last week she grew attached to Emmy like a sister. Emmy filled her with facts and knowledge till unknown to her. She is feeling happy to be near Emmy, where she can just learn all things she needed to. While talking they covered most distance and reached Emmy’s home. Emmy opened a door to a room where Julia has been living from last week and told Julia “This will be yours & Jack’s room for future” Julia placed sleeping Jack over bed and covered his body with thin sheet. Then she turned to Emmy and told her that she wanted to learn cooking. Upon hearing that Emmy laughed out loud and said “I don’t know cooking either” And hearing that Julia laughed too.

“We will learn cooking together than” Julia said.

“That’s okay Julia but at first hear me out. You forgot everything and have no memories of anything so first wait for mother and decide how we will do things in future.” Emmy said seriously. Upon hearing this Julia nodded and decided to talk to Emmy’s mother, Emma (Also known as The Psycho healer). By evening Emma came back to her home. Julia and Emmy greeted her as they were waiting for Emma at the yard. Emma raised her eyebrow as stared at Julia & Emmy and asked “Did something happened?” Julia and Emmy looked at each other and Emmy recounted the conversation they had at day. Emma understood the point and told them to come with her to her room. They all entered Emma’s room and took seats.

Emma pondered for a moment and then said, “I understood the problems you are facing Julia. But it isn’t that easy to find your home unless you recovered the memories of your home.”

I … … Julia started to talk but Emma signaled her to stop by raising her hand.

“Let me finish Julia. I am the one performed checkup on your body when you are found injured and unconscious and I found some interesting things” Emma stated.

Emmy stared at her mother curiously (with eyes shining like torch) and then looked at Julia who is fidgeting fingers in nervousness.

“Julia the clothes you and Jack worn and accessories, when we found you unconscious are removed by me and are in this box.” Emma moved her hand in air and a box appeared out of thin air.

Julia stared at box and accepted it. She didn’t want to open it yet as she was in a serious discussion. “The Clothes you had worn didn’t match the customs of any City or Kingdom I have seen till now. So there are two assumptions I can think of 1st, you are from unknown land far outside as I have almost travelled every nearby cities and kingdoms. And 2nd, you may be from a secret family line, which we haven’t heard off or seen and is hidden somewhere. After checking your accessories, I found no accessory is magically enchanted or have any functions. They are worthless pieces of jewelries; I didn’t even manage to identify the gem inlaid and materials of your ring.” Emma added. She waited for some time to let this information sink in Julia’s mind and continued “I checked your body while performing treatment on you and found you also didn’t seem to align to nature here like you haven’t awakened your spirit, didn’t have any inner energy and guardian contracted beast. It seems you are from a remote corner city or village who hadn’t even adapted to changes of this world after these 10,500 years.”

Emmy can see the worried look on Julia’s face as she tried to comfort Julia by holding her hand. “Can we help her in any way mother?” Emmy asked.

Emma sighted and answered “it may be difficult but we may have one chance to help Julia. There is a spirit potion used to awaken spirits of those who haven’t tried awakening their spirit at age of 7 years, so you can see there is only 50-50 chance of being successful as we don’t know for sure it’s first time for Julia.”

Emmy raised her hand to summon a bottle containing green liquid “I have purchased this bottle 3 years ago from Bultar town when we were there to trade for village supplies”. Emma reached her hand and grabbed the potion bottle from Emmy and checked it by opening the bottle mouth and smelling. “Hmmm, you have really good luck Julia as you got everything ready here. If not, you have to wait for 6 more months for me to visit Bultar town for village supply trade.”

Emma smiled at Julia and said to her “it is late night now, go and have a good rest. Tomorrow morning we will gather at village spirit hall to awaken your spirit. I will inform Garry and Jacob of this, so don’t be late. Emmy you need to take Julia to spirit hall.”

Emmy jumped in air and said “Sure I will guide her to spirit hall. Let’s go to sleep Julia.” She grabbed Julia’s arm and left her mother’s room.

Emma muttered “Silly girl, I just don’t want Julia to feel hurt. There is only 1% who awakened their spirit after 7 years of age. You sure resemble your father who always got excited to help everyone.”

At Morning, Sun has just risen above horizon – In Spirit Hall

“Julia & Emmy you are here” Garry smiled after seeing Julia and Emmy entering Spirit hall.

“Greetings village chief, Elder Jacob and Elder Emma” they greeted the Chief and elders and stood to a side. Jack who is currently in Julia’s arms, stared at statue placed in center of hall and tried to reach his arms to grab it by swinging his arms towards it.

“Jack sure seems active today as always” Jacob chuckled. Jacob has soft spot for kids and he also liked the chubby Jack.

“Let’s start the ceremony to awaken spirit unless you want to be late” Emma added.

“Ahem, Julia give Jack to Emmy and go sit under statue in middle of hall” Garry stated and also moved to took place in one side of statue. Julia tried to let Emmy take Jack from her arms but Jack clang to Julia. Julia placed Jack on ground and said while stroking his head “Good boy, stay here for a while.” Jack stared at Julia’s face as she got up and went straight to center of room. Julia looked at Jack once and then sit straight cross legged in front of the statue. Julia can see the facial features of statue but the more she looked more she felt astonished as its statue of a woman with gentle expressions over her face with a pair of surreal eyes. Julia can see a Tree sculpted besides statue. Statue’s one arm is holding tree branch and other is pointed forward as if blessing the one sitting in front.

“Julia this spirit awakening potion, drink it and meditate. Empty your mind and look at your soul from mind’s eye” Garry said as he handed Spirit awakening potion to Julia. Emmy Jacob and Emma stood behind Garry and looked at Julia with expectant eyes. Emmy looked towards Jack and her expressions shifted as she tugged he mother’s arm. Emma looked at Emmy and followed her gaze and laughed “look there little Jack is imitating his mother”. Julia Garry and Jacob looked at little fellow and laughed too.

“It is okay, now Julia focus and drink the potion” Garry said to Julia. Everyone focused on Julia as she drank the potion and started meditating. Jack who is still trying to imitate Julia also closed his eyes. He can’t even sit cross legged but he is enjoying it as a game. “He is having his fun” Garry added while looking at Jack.

“Garry be serious and start now” Emma stared at Garry and he felt shivers all over.

“Ahem” Garry cleared his throat and closed his eyes.

“The Goddess of Life, your children are offering their belief and praying to you. Let their souls manifest its spirit form and free the shackles that bounds and seals their souls.”

As Garry completed the chant, winds started blowing at Chiban village. Winds are gentle and within seconds the citizens of Chiban village felt refreshed and rejuvenated.

Inside Spirit Hall the statue of Goddess of life started emitting light. Then two light rays are released from the hand of statue and fallen on Julia and Jack’s heads. Everyone witnessing this scene inside Spirit hall has their jaws dropped as if they were seeing something miraculous. There is clear emotion of disbelief on their faces as they stared at three years old Jack, who closed his eyes while imitating his mother. Garry looked at Jacob & Emma and signaled something to them. They nodded and Jacob moved his hand and his hand glowed and a transparent energy is released from it. Within seconds whole Spirit Hall was surrounded within a transparent energy shield. No one outside spirit hall knew anything about the events happened here.

After full 5 minutes the glow of light receded from the statue of Goddess of life and bodies of Julia and Jack started shining. Light gathered over their bodies and next moment light started gathering above their heads and changing shape. A green colored small tree was formed by light over Julia’s head. It has only 4 leaves on two branches. Its leaves are swaying left and right gently. With time the glow of light is receding and the image of tree getting clearer.

At same time the light above Jack was also converging and taking shape. But it didn’t take on a definite shape even after this much time. There is an oval of white light formed above Jack’s head. It isn’t clear but seems vague. After some time the Tree and Oval formed by light entered the heads of Julia and Jack respectively.

Julia opened her eyes and looked towards Emma, who is looking at Jack. Julia found something amiss and followed gaze of Emma. She looked at Jack who seemed to fell asleep while imitating her. She stood up and walked towards Jack and picked him up in her arms and kissed his cheek. After that Julia faced the village chief Garry and asked, “Is there anything wrong?”

Garry looked over at Emma, and Emma nodded after feeling his gaze on her. Emma said “the ceremony of spirit awakening is completed, but there are some things we need to teach you.”
