ENJOY
Stepping out of the office after signing all the paper work was quite refreshing, even though he still smelled. Leo was savoring the feeling of the beginning of his revenge and subsequent conquest. Looking around he felt a hint of nostalgia looking at all the people running out to fill out forms, getting signatures, and playing office politics. In a way Leo had more freedom than anyone else in the entire building.
“Everything should be done in a week so until then stay out of trouble and call me if anything comes up.” She told him as she came out of the office.
“Yeah, I will I’ll talk to you in a few days. I still have stuff to do today.” He replied as they walked to the elevator.
“Well where ever you are going get a bath. You smell horrible, if you weren’t one of my closest friends I’d punch you.” She exclaimed while waving her hands in front of her face nose.
“Sure thing, I’ll see you in a few days.” He chuckled.
Walking out of the building Leo stretched his arms and begin his search for food. Reaching a small food stall and grabbed himself a hotdog. After paying but before he could eat he felt a signal from his replicators. The replicators had finished eating the inside of the factory and had entered a stealth mode. With this he decided to head off to the factory and see what the progress was.
Crossing across town and entering the factory brought a smile as he observed his replicators now able to take various forms like in their tv series. Now he wanted them to rearrange themselves into new designs that were in his mind more efficient. He experimented with them and in the end of the day made some modifications to the design of the standard ‘bug’ forms.
One new thing he did was use several of the replicators and try to create a nanite jewelry on him of sorts. Having them on him allowed him to keep himself safe and allowed him to draw money faster from ATMs. After some experimentation he got them to form into acceptable devices. After that he tried to make them into a sort of nanite skin on him but with the materials used they ended up not being very comfortable.
After all that he ended up with a small group of replicators on his wrist in the form of a cheap watch. Next a new visible bracelet and a thin layer of replicator blocks across the inside layer over his shirt. From the outside it just looked like he was wearing a very metallic color shirt. These could be rearranged at a moment’s notice to protect him if need be. He now gave a standing order to the replicators to protect him when there was a serious threat.
Heading home in the dark was never a good idea, especially if you live on the bad side of town. Luckily today wasn’t going to be a problem since he was recognized as a homeless man. That night he reached home to find Alexi standing outside waiting for someone.
“Hello Alexi.” He greeted.
“Have you seen the two junkies?” He asked ignoring his greeting.
“I heard them fighting each other this morning before I left. Why?”
“One suka, stabbed the other suka over some dope. Now they both can’t pay rent because one is in the hospital, and the other ran away.” He grumbled extremely pissed off.

“Oh.” He said not really sure how to respond.
“If they come back here call me. Though I doubt they will, also I should probably tell you if you touch that girl we have to hold you down as she cuts your dick off but you wouldn’t touch a woman like that would you?” Alexi threatened.
“No no no no.” Leo quickly stammered out at the very thought.
“Good.” Alexi said as he walked away.
Leo just waved good bye and headed towards the basement to head off to bed. Mentally he sent a message to the replicators to search for a new factory without being seen and repeat his previous orders.
The next few days were uneventful as Leo just went on planning his future plans with everything currently moving along smoothly. Over the last five days the two addicts were never seen again as that didn’t bother him. What did bother him was that the woman who was staying there was overly cautious with him. Leo never tried to be rude or give her any sign of hostility.
One night he gently asked her, “What’s your name?”
She mumbled something that started off with an ‘S’ but hurried away. She was gone a moment later up the stairs and back to her room. Shaking his head he returned to read a magazine he bought earlier that day.
Later on when he was about to head off to sleep she came back down and said, “Sadia. My name is Sadia.” Then she ran away. After that she stopped running away at light speed. Now she stayed only a moderate distance away and only took the effort to try and look at him in the face.
Finally one day Leo decided to ask her situation.
“How come you’re here Sadia?”
“Why do you care?”
“I’m just curious.”
“Don’t worry about it. I won’t be here much sooner.”
“What that’s supposed to mean?”
She looked at Leo with a sort of confusion. Sadia was thinking that although she’d ran away from her husband, she knew he’d find her and drag her back home. All she wanted was a short life of freedom and she had to admit it was worth the pain that she knew was coming. The only thing that she couldn’t figure out was why the man in front of her cared. Thinking about whether or not to explain it to him she looked him in the eyes.
Staring back at her was a curious Leo, from her ‘landlord’ she found out his situation. A homeless man of three years who’d been running around on the streets. Someone who’d seen the underside of society, someone who’d been casted aside. Yet in his eyes she could see a man more driven in life than she’d ever been.
“I’m a runaway wife Leo. I know my husband is searching for me and soon enough he will find me and he will take me home by force if has to. What I have here is a short experience of freedom and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.” She explained sadly.
“Oh.” Leo said sadly.
“Don’t worry Leo, I am prepared but until then I’ll enjoy what I wish.” She said with a tight smile.
Leo didn’t respond but he didn’t like it. Growing up in a traditional home he was always taught to never harm women, children or the elderly. He was ready to subvert, imprison, and even blackmail, but he wasn’t going to be a killer. If he was he’d have just taken over the world by force. In Leo’s mind harming people was a last resort of sorts. Then again he had big plans and normally big plans had big complications.
