Author's Note: I'm still quite new to this site so go easy on me. Tables will be added much much later. Criticism is accepted unless those are just snide remarks. Good reviews and comments will and make me release faster, though I prefer if those are constructive.
I edited my prologue because it was shit. I'll try to do better, your ideas will also help me so buckle along with me. Enjoy!
Two men sat across each other in a dimly lit room. Shadows coalesced around their faces, hiding everything. It served its purpose, as the room was built with that in mind, making both parties unable to recognise each other.
The elder first spoke, in a tone that wasn't appropriate with his age, "I you to find and kill two people, and the child they are carrying taken back alive."
The other party replied, in a flawless accent, "Done. How much are you offering?" The elder said " 10,000 gold total, half now and half when completed." The man raised an eyebrow at the amount, " There's something you're not telling me here. No man would pay that amount for such an easy task."
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
The elder chuckled in response, "Who said this would be easy? You are hunting The DUO. If you cannot handle such a task then I will go the Crimson mercenaries, perhaps they may do better than your ragtag bunch of men."
The man's face darkened at the provocation, not that the elder saw, but the killing intent that rapidly rose in the room said otherwise. The elder smirked at this, seeing that his words stuck a nerve. The man stood up and went to the door before pausing before the doorway, "The Assassin's Brotherhood will complete this task, and YOU will not tell the Crimson men any word of this! They will be dead within three months and you better have your money by then."
The elder flashed a toothy grin, "Pleasure doing business with you, and if you kill them under the deadline a bonus will await you." The man left leaving a very satisfied elder. "Oh, how pride and greed blind a man's eyes. Though I admit they are very useful in negotiations."
The elder turned back and left, an insignia of a red dragon briefly seen on its back.
