An author can be seen furiously typing at a keyboard.
“Gah multiple POV and deadlines and new phone games that are way too fun to play.”
“Shut up and type ghost writing slave.” Says the demonic red slime on top of the authors head.
“Don’t forget all those foreshadowing plot points you put in as well.” Commands the demon.
“But I don’t outline or keep notes, I’m sure I’ve forgotten about them already. Ouch ouch. Stop, please stop, I’m writing see.”
“It will keep the notes or it will get the pseudopods again!”

Chapter 4 - Saved by a Princess
Well aren’t we all having fun playing games. A group of skimpily dressed women giggling as they frolic in a game of soccer should please most men. But not him. Never one to be into sports he never understood the appeal and now as the ball of a sport he downright hates it.
Actually the game isn’t all that bad he thinks. The last several days have been pure hell for him. This last indignity is almost pleasant in comparison. Days of torment has one benefit. It narrows the focus of the mind wonderfully. He now has a goal he will follow no matter what. He shall conquer all of Oriana to ensure this never happens to him again.
Step one plan. Step two escape. Step three become Demon King.
Step one is done. Step three is planned. However step two still eludes him. Try as he might he can’t get free from these mad women.
He feels another booted toe kick him but this time he is sent far off in the wrong direction. Well time to try to escape again he thinks gloomily. Only this time is a bit different.
“Hey, listen!”
Hearing a very odd sound behind him he takes a risk and glances back.
“Hey, look!”
He sees a grey dress float to the ground. With a bunch of leaves fluttering around. Strangest of all he sees 2 glowing balls, one red and the other blue, floating in the air.
The furies are distracted as well. Although not due to the oddity of it all for they don’t care about such things. Instead due to Kindle, the floating red glowing ball. They have been so primed to chase red glowing balls that they instinctively start chasing it. Unlike the red slime anti-hero, Kindle is quite fast and nimble so is able to easily elude them for some time.
G8-41 feels gentle hands lift him up and press him against something soft. He starts to struggle thinking he’s been caught again. Then stops when he catches a lovely feminine fragrance. Furies may be female but having lovely fragrances they do not. He looks behind him and sees his beautiful savior.
She has long flowing black hair in a hime cut, glasses and an adorable Japanese face. More importantly he is currently being hug tightly to her large, only clad in a white bra, D-cup bosom. He has no idea who she is or why she is saving him or why she is only dressed in her underwear. He also doesn’t care why for this is bliss.
The perfect escape it was not to be however. Unfortunately the mysterious princess saving him was not the fastest runner. The furies quickly figured out that Kindle was too small to be their hated enemy. Sadly for Kindle this was not discovered until after it was found to not be too big to swallow. The other more annoying glowing blue ball, who shall not be named, was also disposed of in a similar way.
Well at least they can’t sneak up on him anymore. As the furies chase after the pair a faint sound can be heard from one of them.
“Hey, rescue!”
The princess in shining white underwear is even taking him to where he wants to be. Now if only she can make it to the city sewer grate before the furies catch them it will be a wonderful day. Even better she is running along the trail of slimes. G8-41 starts commanding the blue slimes to slow the furies down. He doesn’t expect much of them but he has hopes of them being good cannon fodder.

Sorrowfully the inevitable happens. A pretty girl clad in underwear running from horror story monsters looks back and trips. This sends G8-41 sailing through the air and lands right next to the sewer grate which he promptly escapes though.
The furies try to make it through the grate but are unable to. G8-41 taunts them with lewd gestures from well back into the sewer tunnel. The furies rage will not be denied they turn on the helpless girl and begin to kick her.
“Hey stop that you psycho ward rejects!” He says to no avail. Well the princess should log out soon so I don’t need to go back and help.
“Why can’t I log out? The button is greyed out! Why does this hurt so much? Please stop!” the princess screams in terror.
Grinding his teeth G8-41 turns around again. Nothing ever goes right. Well they should kill her soon and she can respawn somewhere safe.
“Please stop! Why is my HP not falling! It hurts so much!” she screams in pain again.
Damn it! Well it’s her fault for saving him when he didn’t ask for it.
“*Groans* Help anyone, please save me!”
He keeps turning toward deeper into the sewer then back again in indecision.
“…” Finally she just silently lays there no longer reacting to her torment and just staring off into the distance.
His decision made he hurries deeper into the sewer.

Author: But I don’t. I don’t keep an outline and every idea I’ve had the red slime demon on my head has changed it!
Narrator: There is nothing on your head…
Author: That’s only because he makes you think that! *Left eye twitches a bit*
Narrator: Umm okay… How about you give the next chapter blurb then *quietly* so I can get away from this madman as soon as possible.
Author: Well bells.
Narrator: What bells?
Author: The bells shall toll for them!
Narrator: For who?

Authors Note
I really do need to start an outline and note taking. Trying to match two characters time lines between this and the side story is just painful when you have to keep referring back to 80 pages of story. Don't even know what the princesses total bonus is to skill gains either yet didn't calculate it up...
Also the whole slime arc wasn't originally meant to be there. But as I was writing it kinda grew on me. I mean instant comedic/useless minions and the ability to have an epic newbie battle early on was too hard to pass up. But ya only half joking when I say I have demonic slime on my head. I really want to write what happens next and sometimes even I don't know as I'm writing I get a better idea on how the story should go.
