"Yes mom, the home will be clean when you came back," I say to the cell phone as I open the microwave and take my dinner.

"Yes, I haven't let Blaze in the house, ok, love you mom, see you on Monday," As I finish the call I start eating while a little black dog stares at me.

Yeah, not the best Son of the year but I love Blaze, so I take a portion of my sandwich and give it to the barking dog.

"Well, I will need to buy more bread for tomorrow breakfast, and I have yet to take Blaze for a walk," 

I finished with my dinner and put a coat to avoid freezing to death, living in Ecuador and more important, in Quito has this kind of problems.

When I am as ready as I can be, I shout for Blaze to come and have to force the collar for an entire minute till I could put it, he simply likes more to rape my arm.

I take the keys as the trip to the bakery will take some time, apart from the money for the bread I take my savings to buy a cake or some snacks.

I take the leash and get Blaze out of the house before closing the door and walked till I reached the shop I always buy necessities.

"Alex and little blaze, how are you two" the elderly woman that runs the shop greets me and blaze while I take some snacks and a chocolate, also a drink for now and one for tomorrow.

"Hello, I need these things and pay the debt of the other day," I said while putting all in the counter, also I pay what I left yesterday without paying cause I didn't have money and I kinda didn't want to come again after reaching my home.

I left the shop with less than half the money I left my home with.

While walking to the bakery I raise my sight and noticed that something strange is going, it's late in the afternoon, the time where light starts to go dim and darkness takes its place. But the sky stays clear and bright, not as bright as midday but enough to clearly see around me.

"I may be wrong," I thought as I put my attention on the pair of barkings dogs, Blaze as a good dog he is is fighting with barks with the dog at the other side of the door.

"Come, we need to go fast,"

I pulled the leash a little and continued with the travel. As I reached the bakery 7 or 8 minutes after buying snacks the temperature of the place starts to fall at a fast pace, I take Blaze in my arms to gather some heat and as fast as I can I ask for the bread and a cake.

After receiving my things I started to walk to my home at a jogging pace to get the cold out of my body.

Near the half of the trip was done when suddenly, as if to end my misery, not like the droop after droops that get stronger in time, but the 'sky is falling' kind of rain started. 

"Fuck me," I said as I started running as fast as Blaze and the bags I'm carrying let me.

When I already fell as if I'm carrying a heavy burden on my back as the wet clothes hang on my skin.

While running to my home, I noticed the weirdest shit I have seen in my life, this caused me to come to a sudden stop that strangled a little Blaze.

I noticed that I'm on top of a puddle of water, my socks are getting wet and uncomfortable, and by reflex, I moved my arms to touch the screen in front of me but it was as if touching water, well, I touched the water as it's still raining.

I rubbed my eyes but the little blue screen was still there, while Blaze was barking and trying to get my attention I started slowly walking back home.

"The fuck is this shit...?" I think that my brain stopped thinking of this message clearly means that another superior race has reached earth and that they have claimed earth as they own. I may not be patriot enough to care about ownership issues but that depends on what rights the people get, and this will clearly be a problem if another race owns humanity.

The thing about the screen and the 'protection' for a year shocks me as it seems that this 'system' is more powerful than this 'lower race' as it seems that there will be superior races or the likes that rule others.

After reading the message I finally reached my home the power seems to have gone bad as the fridge is off and I cant turn the lights on, well with how fucked are the things I don't bother to care too much of it.  

After finishing with that I put my snacks and the bread in the kitchen and take a quick shower to calm me from the cold, I had to use the cell phone to get light in the bathroom. Later I had spent ten minutes to get Blaze dry, the little thing started to run in the house when I let him alone.

When all is finished and I am ready as I can be to the end of humanity to consume the people and start the chaos, I spect to people to go mad tomorrow, hell maybe now there're riots in some places.

While thinking, that the earth started to tremble under me, normally this would end with me waiting for it to stop or getting worse, but with the events earlier I was already nervous enough so I took Blaze in my arms and went out of the house.

When I went out of my house I could hear how the people were screaming as I have to lay on the grass in the garden.

The tremblors soon became the strongest earthquake of my life, I could only hugBlaze harder as I could see cracks in the walls of the house.

'It will fall' Is all I could think of the barks deafened me as Blaze was crazily trying to scape my arms.

As I was despaired and thinking about how I will die when the debris went down.

Then all went quiet, well, except for Blaze as we have continuously barked in my ear. When I opened my eyes I find myself in an enclosed space of complete darkness.

Aside from me and Blaze, the only thing here was a new blue screen

This space was created to allow the inhabitants of this world in the changes it is going with.

I watch as a screen appears in front of me, it's literally a gigantic series of squares with ?? signs, I could barely see an end as it was as if a great sphere around me, full of options, I decided to point out one random square at top of my head.

The option I choose then appears in front of me as it is an image of a weapon appears in front of me, the weapon is a massive sword that is at least a feet wide, and a meter in length, it didn't have the normal sword form though, it has a diagonal cut at the end and I'm sure that I didn't need to cut someone as a hit of this black beauty could kill someone, as it could easily destroy bones and smash organs.

Before I could think about how to carry my new weapon I started to feel a strange force around me and even before I could think on what to do my mind went black.

And this is the start of my new life, the new life of the earth, and the hardest year that humanity will do the necessary to be strong enough to confront the aliens.
